Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!
Chapter 554 The President is Dead
After the novice alchemy master left, he didn't realize that the myriad phenomena in the heavens had been watching him all along.
After advancing to the high-level of the Holy Mark, Wanxiang gained a full-map view, and no action in the entire world could escape its control.
Lynn gave it the order to keep a close eye on the resurrected alchemists and prevent them from doing anything out of line.
If the situation is discovered, cut off their forces immediately.
Inside the laboratory, after processing the first one, Lynn proceeded to produce the second one in the same manner.
The second person's reaction upon resurrection was similar to the first, but before he could utter a complete sentence, Lynn had already sent him out of the church and left him next to the first person.
Let his companions explain it to him properly; I don't have the time or energy to explain it to everyone individually.
He stood there for a while after landing, the dark gray restriction patterns on his body not yet fully stabilized.
He looked down at the patterns on his chest, then looked up at the figure walking towards the Alchemy City.
The person was covered in black runes, but it was still possible to recognize him as one of his companions.
The second person spoke up and said:
"Neil, what's going on? Why were we...?"
The figure sighed and recounted his conversation with Lynn.
Upon learning that they had died and were now being resurrected by the enemy and imprisoned, the second alchemist was stunned.
The two discussed it for a while and guessed that the person would revive the rest of the people, so they waited patiently and prepared to wait for everyone to arrive.
Lynn dealt with the remaining few in turn.
Everyone handled it the same way: resurrect, confirm the status, and send them out of the church, without any extra dialogue or lingering.
The bodies of nine people were arranged in a row on the experimental table and processed one by one.
When Lynn put away the rune pen, it was the last time he saw Casper.
Casper had already sat up from the lab table. He looked down at the lines on his chest and then a wry smile appeared on his lips.
Is he... under a restriction?
The restriction had been embedded in the skin, with the same pattern as the previous eight people, using the same method and moving in the same direction.
Casper looked up and asked:
"Now that you have resurrected me, you must have taken control of the situation. May I ask about Aldrick's condition?"
Lynn had already packed up her tools: "Just as you expected."
Casper was silent for a moment. "He's dead?"
"He's dead."
Casper sighed, didn't press further, and stood up from the lab table.
Lynn waved his hand, signaling him to leave.
Although Casper didn't know why Lynn had released him, he felt that regaining his freedom was better than being bound.
Before going out, I walked to the door and stood still, without taking a step immediately.
He sensed that the rules of the outside world were completely different, more complete, and denser, with a significantly greater number of rules than in the world he had previously inhabited.
The rules are distributed in different ways, intersecting each other like a giant web without overlapping.
It's like they each occupy different levels in the same area, with clear but not rigid boundaries between them.
Casper stood there for a while, and he could sense that the density of rules in this world was much higher than that in the alchemical world.
The direction and intensity of each rule are within his perception range. He can clearly distinguish several independent rule paths running in parallel at different depths without interfering with each other.
This gave him a sudden shock.
Perhaps I can go further in this world.
It even... touched the threshold of becoming an alchemist sage!
If alchemy can find new points of resonance here, it may gain a wider range of applications than before.
Thinking of this, Casper immediately perked up.
He stepped out of the church and headed towards the Alchemist City.
Finally, the nine people met up in an open area on the edge of the Alchemy City.
That open space used to be the outer plaza of the Alchemist Guild headquarters, but it has been eroded by the chaotic mist and is no longer in its original form.
Most of the stone slabs on the ground were broken, with grayish-white weeds growing in the cracks. There were some scattered building remains at the edges, and a few pillars still stood in the corner.
Some association members also gathered around after discovering the situation. Seeing the vice president and several masters there, they were all pleasantly surprised.
Finally, I've found my pillar of support.
But seeing the dense black runes covering the nine people, the members felt a slight unease.
Why would a high-ranking alchemist have these runes engraved on him?
The nine alchemy masters also had a lot of questions waiting to be answered.
The nine people exchanged information with the association members and learned about the current situation.
It turns out... their world has been "swallowed and merged" by another world.
Now, the whole world has become that person's "private property," and they are also subject to that person's restrictions, having completely lost their freedom.
They didn't return to the main city of alchemy, but waited there for a while longer, hoping that the person could resurrect the guild master Aldrick.
But after waiting for a long time, no one came.
They knew perfectly well that the man probably wouldn't revive the president.
Casper leaned against a leaning stone pillar and straightened his cuffs. "I asked that man, and he said the chairman was dead."
"I had some doubts at first, but given the chairman's personality, if he were still alive, he wouldn't have been out of contact for so long."
Upon hearing this, all the alchemy masters fell silent.
If the chairman is dead, what power do they have to resist his oppression?
Another alchemist standing nearby nodded: "That means he's dead."
The surroundings were quiet for a moment.
Someone stood up from the ground where they had been squatting by the broken wall, dusting off their hands: "What do we do now?"
Casper thought about it for a while:
"First, stabilize the Alchemy World, restore order, and provide relief to the victims. Those who are still alive need someone to direct the reconstruction."
His gaze swept over the faces around him:
"We can't beat that person right now, our power is limited, and we haven't adapted to the rules of the new world. Let's do what we can first, and we can deal with the rest later."
Casper looked at the darkening sky in the distance:
"First, treat the wounded, clear the rubble, collect usable materials, and restore the areas that can be restored first, step by step."
No one around raised any objections, and no one asked any more questions about Aldrick.
After hearing Casper's instructions, the association members began to disperse.
Clearing the ruins, transporting materials, inscribing alchemical arrays...
Casper glanced one last time in the direction of the church, then turned back and walked along the gravel path toward the interior of the Alchemist City.
The others followed without hesitation, and as Casper stepped into the Alchemy City, they prepared to take charge of the overall situation.
