Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!
Chapter 606 Savage War
The little goblin on the spaceship had no idea what kind of shock his carelessly discarded glass bottle would bring to that primitive tribe.
He was gazing greedily at the view outside the window, unwilling to blink.
It's so beautiful! This place is a million times more beautiful than the starry sky!
The spaceship circled halfway around but found nothing unusual or threatening.
The captain tapped a few times on the control panel and pointed to a flat, grassy area near the river: "There, land."
The spaceship descended slowly, its landing gear extended, and a cloud of dust rose as its hull touched the ground.
The hatch did not open immediately.
The captain stood in front of the control panel and shouted, "Check the environment first!"
The technician tapped away at the instruments, and after a few seconds began to report: "Gravity is normal, air concentration is normal, no highly toxic components were detected, you can breathe normally."
"Let's be careful." The captain waved his hand. "Everyone's landing in spacesuits; there might be some viruses or bacteria in the air here."
Although the goblin spacemen wanted to experience nature firsthand, they still wore their spacesuits obediently for the sake of their lives.
When the hatch opened, a blast of air carrying the scent of wild grass and earth rushed in, along with a faint fishy smell.
Even a goblin wearing a spacesuit couldn't smell it.
"Let's go." The captain was the first to step off the gangway, his boots landing on the unfamiliar ground.
This is a small step for him, but a giant leap for the goblin world!
Six goblins followed behind him, each with a magic crystal pistol at their waist and a high-frequency vibration knife hanging on their back.
In addition, a goblin remained on the spaceship to prevent any accidents.
After disembarking from the spaceship, the captain began assigning duties to each person.
"The three of you set up camp and build temporary defensive fortifications."
"You, collect some samples; the two of you are in charge of guarding."
The goblins split up and went their separate ways.
Three goblins carried folding tents and makeshift defensive stakes out of the spaceship's cargo hold and began driving stakes and stringing lines 30 meters away from the spaceship.
Another goblin squatted on the ground, using tweezers to pick up soil and plant debris and put them into a sealed jar.
"The air humidity is a bit high," the goblin muttered as he collected the samples.
"Enough talk, get moving." The captain held the magic crystal gun, his eyes scanning the surroundings.
Some wild beasts and dinosaurs, upon discovering that iron birds had landed here, flocked towards this area.
Before the campsite was even fully set up, a dull tremor suddenly came from the ground.
"Something's approaching!" The captain turned sharply and looked into the distance.
On the edge of the grassland, several giant beasts of various shapes and sizes were charging towards them, followed by two dinosaurs covered in scales.
One of the giant beasts had four thick, short legs, a flat head, and a row of bony plates on its head; when it ran, it looked like a moving mountain.
Although these wild beasts do not possess any extraordinary power, their sheer size and strength are enough to instill fear in other creatures.
"Everyone back to the spaceship!" the captain shouted.
At this moment, the fortifications had not yet been set up, and they were no match for these prehistoric behemoths on the open ground.
Let's rely on the sturdy spaceship to defend ourselves.
The goblins immediately dropped what they were doing and ran towards the spaceship.
The goblin who was taking the sample was running so fast that he tripped over a stone, tumbled over, and the sealed jar in his hand flew far away.
The goblin next to him grabbed him and dragged him toward the hatch.
By the time the last goblin jumped into the hatch, the skeletal behemoth had already charged fifty meters away.
The hatch slammed shut.
The goblins rushed to the windows, pulled their magic crystal guns out of their slots, and extended the barrels out of the firing ports.
"Spaceship warm-up, ready for takeoff at any time."
"Everyone else, prepare to fire! Wait for them to get closer!" the captain shouted. "Aim for vitals, don't waste bullets!"
The first giant beast of the wasteland charged towards the ship.
Its head was flat, like a moss-covered rock, and it rammed into the spaceship.
"Fire!"
The magic crystal gun fired thin, blue light bullets.
The first salvo hit the giant beast's head, blowing off a chunk of its skull.
Before the giant beast could even let out a scream, its front hooves buckled and it collapsed three meters in front of the ship, the impact shaking the ground.
The second giant beast charged in from the side, its shoulders high and its hide thick.
The blue light bullet hit it, splattering blood everywhere, but it kept charging forward, crashing heavily into the spaceship's hull.
Inside the cabin, a goblin lost his balance and hit his head on the window frame, his helmet making a "thud".
He grumbled as he got up and repositioned his gun, aiming it again.
"Don't fucking stand there like an idiot, I'm going to shoot you in the eye!"
The captain yelled something and pulled the trigger himself.
A blue light bullet pierced through the firing port and precisely entered the giant beast's left eye.
The behemoth had no means of defense against the magic crystal bullet. After being hit in the left eye, it roared in pain, its voice like a broken bellows.
It staggered back two steps, then was hit in the head by several more shots, and finally collapsed to the ground.
The two dinosaurs were incredibly fast, and they took advantage of a lull in the firepower to leap to the side of the spaceship.
A dinosaur opened its mouth wide and bit the hull of the spaceship, breaking its teeth and leaving only a white mark on the hull.
"Silly child, this ship is very sturdy; otherwise, it wouldn't be able to sail among the stars."
The co-pilot chuckled, turned the gun, and fired two shots into the dinosaur's eyes.
The blue light bullet pierced the dinosaur's eyes and entered its brain. The dinosaur froze, slid off the ship, and its limbs were still twitching.
Seeing that things were not going well, the other dinosaur turned around and tried to run away.
The goblins wouldn't give it a chance; they chased after it with three blue light bullets, hitting its hind legs and back.
The dinosaur fell to the ground, struggled to crawl forward half a meter, and then stopped moving.
But the smell of blood had already spread.
More wild beasts surged from the depths of the grassland, their heavy footsteps echoing in one after another.
"Damn it, this place is full of beasts." The skinny goblin cursed as he changed magic crystals.
"Stop talking nonsense, take as many as you can!" the captain shouted.
The goblins kept firing, their magic crystal guns rising and falling, blue light flashing through the beast horde, each shot aimed at a vital spot.
Giant beasts with huge bone horns on their heads charged at the forefront, heads bowed, crashing into the spaceship.
The goblins concentrated their fire, bullets hitting the bone horn and sending bone fragments flying, but the behemoth, as if possessed, still crashed into the spaceship.
The ship shook violently, and several goblins were thrown from their seats.
"Shoot it in the leg!" the captain shouted.
Several blue light bullets were fired at the giant beast's foreleg joints from different angles.
The behemoth was shot in the knee, its front leg bent, and its massive body lost its balance, slipping along the side of the spaceship and crashing into the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.
The goblins seized the opportunity to fire additional shots into its ears and abdomen. The giant beast struggled a few times, then lay still.
The wild beasts gathered in ever-growing numbers.
There are four-legged beasts covered in scales, small dinosaurs with extremely long necks, and the largest wild beast, whose back is bulging like a small mountain, and the ground trembles with every step it takes.
"There are too many of them, we can't kill them all!" the co-pilot shouted.
The captain, his face covered in sweat, glanced outside, gritted his teeth, and ordered, "Activate the ship and get out of here!"
"What about the camp?" a goblin asked.
"No, let's go!"
The spaceship's engines roared, and the hull slowly rose.
Several wild beasts leaped up, trying to bite the landing gear, but were all thrown off by the airborne spaceship.
The spaceship's hatch was tightly closed, and after ascending to high altitude, the herds of animals on the grassland were still roaring and snorting below.
The goblin camp was left standing, and several tents that had not yet been set up were trampled to pieces by the rushing wild beasts.
