Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!

Chapter 613 Changes in the World of Sacred Marks

Three months have passed in the blink of an eye.

Lynn's flesh-and-blood clone sits in the innermost cubicle of the Dreamweaver Corridor every day, handling various high-end services such as memory weaving and soul care.

Each move represents a large amount of magic stones.

If other shops need help, the clone can go to those shops to answer questions and solve problems.

This made the shops that paid "protection money" exclaim that the money was well spent.

The clone carried the aura of holy marks and looked exactly like the original. When it sat there, the guests couldn't tell the difference between it and the original, and they all consciously lowered their voices.

No one dares to cause trouble in these shops.

If you really displease the Saint Mark master, dying will be pointless.

That afternoon, the clone had just seen off a client who wanted to have a painful memory deleted.

The client was a third-circle wizard, tormented by painful memories that affected his ability to comprehend the rules. After the memories were deleted, his mental energy became much purer.

As he left, he repeatedly thanked Lynn's clone.

Spending a few magic stones to get the powerful Stigmata to personally intervene, with no side effects whatsoever, is simply too good to pass up!

At the same time, Lynn's true form was in the Stigmata World.

He stood on the top floor of the central tower of the Myriad Realms Continent, with Gregor standing beside him. Before them lay the colossal net of rules that covered the entire sky.

Gregor humbly inquired about some key points of Lynn's rule network, not feeling ashamed at all about asking his own apprentice for advice.

Among wizards, there is a principle of prioritizing those who are accomplished. The reason I took Lynn in was to facilitate my research, and I hoped that Lynn could give me new inspiration.

Lynn naturally didn't hide anything from her mentor, and after learning about her mentor's confusion, she explained it in detail.

"...Mentor, let's observe more closely."

As he spoke, Lynn raised his hand, extending his mental energy outwards.

The giant net, woven from hundreds of chains of rules, slowly descended, like a glowing spiderweb pressing down from the sky.

Then the operating speed was slowed down, and the flow of the giant net gradually slowed down until it stopped at a rhythm that was almost visible to the naked eye.

The patterns of each chain were clearly visible, like glowing threads hanging above their heads.

"Show us the web you've created," Lynn said.

Gregor took a deep breath and opened his arms in front of him.

A much simpler network of rules emerged from his body, barely woven from thirty-odd chains with sparse mesh and knots in some places.

"The mentor has made great progress." Lynn nodded.

"You took only three months to go from individual rules to a network, which was faster than I expected."

Gregor's face showed no smugness; instead, he frowned and said, "With your giant web of rules as a template, I only need to imitate it, so the speed is naturally not slow. It's just... this web is too loose."

"This network is just for show now; it can't function on its own. There are a few rules that I still haven't fully grasped; it's just barely hanging on together."

"It's normal." Lynn pointed to a few dim chains on the giant web.

"The thirty-odd rules you originally comprehended were geared towards areas you were familiar with, such as death, soul, flesh, alchemy, and construction. The later rules will become increasingly unfamiliar, and it's inevitable that your progress will slow down."

Gregor sighed. "It will take me at least five or six years to grasp a new rule, and it will probably take even longer after that."

"If you want to reach your level of all-encompassing understanding, I'm afraid you'll never have that hope in this lifetime."

"The mentor's comprehension is already very high," Lynn said reassuringly.

"To be able to walk the path of all things is extremely rare. Ordinary wizards will never be able to comprehend the rules in their entire lives. They will be stuck by the rules and will never be able to enter the world of the Holy Mark."

Gregor nodded without speaking, continuing to stare at the giant net overhead.

Lynn walked behind him and pointed her finger at a chain.

"This is 'decay,' which has something in common with the material transformation in the Master's alchemy. Don't try to understand it separately; attach it next to the 'structure' rules that you've already mastered."

Gregor's eyes lit up, and he quickly adjusted his rule network, moving the decay half an inch to the side of the structure.

The mesh surface did indeed become more stable.

"I see," Gregor said. "Similar rules form smaller networks first, then connect to form larger networks."

“Yes,” Lynn said. “You can’t just piece things together one by one. You have to find similar things first, weave them into a small network, and then connect the small networks into a big network.”

"What the mentor needs to do now is to reclassify the rules that have been understood and find the connections."

Gregor stood there, staring at his rule network for a while, then suddenly removed three connections.

He rearranged the rules, changing the positions of several of them.

"That's more stable," Gregor said.

"The mentor can figure it out himself," Lynn smiled. "I just slowed down the giant web for you to see."

Gregor turned to look at him, his expression somewhat complicated: "Back when you were just a junior apprentice at the academy, I was thinking about how to teach you, but I never expected things to turn out this way so quickly."

"What my mentor taught me is the foundation upon which I am where I am today," Lynn said. "What I am doing now is just me moving faster, paving the way for my mentor."

Gregor chuckled. "Alright, stop comforting me. As your mentor, I can't let you have all the credit."

"Even if we can't reach the Ten Thousand Forms, we should at least try the Thousand Forms or the Hundred Forms. At worst, we can slowly fill in and refine them after entering the Holy Mark."

After saying that, he looked up again, staring intently at the slowly rotating giant net of rules.

Lynn watched for a while, and only after confirming that Gregor was in the zone did he quietly step back.

"Mentor, I'm going to take a look around the world," Lynn said.

"Go ahead." Gregor didn't turn around, just waved his hand. "I'll watch for a little while longer."

Lynn stepped off the Island of Death and appeared high in the sky above the World of Sacred Marks.

He first checked out the goblin world to see if the technology had advanced any further.

The goblin world has a dedicated technology zone where top talents in various fields conduct scientific research, with a focus on the upgrading and iteration of spaceships.

The technology zone has changed dramatically, now incorporating elements from other worlds.

Blast furnaces and mage towers are interspersed, while chimneys and element pools stand side by side.

These elemental energies are very different from stable magic stones, and can bring about new changes in scientific research.

The goblins' orbits have now been laid to other alien continents, strengthening connections between them and promoting economic development.

Goblin-made railcars traveled across the continent, with goblins, humans, orcs, and grey dwarves sitting in the carriages.

On the Alchemy Continent to the east, alchemists from the Alchemy Association are teaching human craftsmen how to forge basic magical artifacts.

The world today is more powerful than the alchemical world of the past, which has allowed alchemists to advance their training to a new level.

On the western edge of the Monster Forest, demon hunters and goblin engineers are repairing a road.

As for the high-level magical beasts in the Monster Forest, they were either killed or captured long ago due to the siege by "experts" from many countries.

Now, the entire Warcraft Forest has been completely divided up.
