Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!

Chapter 627 Inauguration Ceremony

On the day of the inauguration ceremony, the sky above Yongye Cemetery was unusually clear and free of fog.

The skeletal plaza had been prepared well in advance.

In the center of the square stood a high platform made of giant skeletons, surrounded by hundreds of gray-white bone pillars, each burning with a ghostly blue soul flame.

Below the platform were several rows of white bone chairs, with various runes engraved on the backs. These chairs were reserved for important figures from the academy and visiting representatives.

Further out, the square was filled with formal wizards, a dense, dark mass.

These "big shots" who were once considered remarkable by the apprentices are now just insignificant spectators.

As for the apprentices, they didn't even have the right to stand on the square. They could only crowd around the square, tiptoeing and peering inside.

If a wizard gets close, they will scatter like birds and beasts, for fear of offending important figures.

Around the plaza, a ring of "Soul Hunters" maintained order, their eerie blue eyes observing everything around them.

At that moment, Lynn was standing in the laboratory, adjusting his collar in front of the condensed mirror.

He was still wearing that dark purple wizard's robe today, but the "Lord of All Things" mark on the back of the robe was much larger than usual, like a distorted star map spread out behind him.

He pinned the Soul Master badge to his chest, the soul threads on the badge glowing faintly.

As soon as the door opened, a "Soul Hunter" was already waiting outside.

The "Soul Hunters" are led by Vice Dean Sersi and are responsible for monitoring the academy and dealing with traitors and serious offenders.

They possess excellent "stealth" abilities and are distributed throughout the academy, capable of directly taking action against those who violate academy rules.

Upon seeing Lynn, the Soul Hunter immediately bowed his head in respect.

"Lord Lynn, please come with me."

Lynn nodded and followed the hunter through several corridors to a rest hall near the Bone Plaza.

The hall was already quite full of people.

The powerful members of the academy, the high-ranking members of each department, and the representatives of the forces invited to attend the ceremony gathered in small groups to talk.

As soon as Lynn entered, everyone stopped talking and turned to look at him.

"Lord Lynn has arrived," someone said with a smile.

"Congratulations, congratulations! You are truly a promising young man." A middle-aged wizard who was unfamiliar with him stood up first and cupped his hands in greeting.

Judging from the wizard's robes he was wearing, he clearly belonged to another faction.

Lynn smiled and nodded in response.

He hadn't taken two steps when several more people surrounded him, offering their congratulations.

"As expected, he has earned his title as the top student at such a young age. It seems that your academy has gained another pillar of strength."

"With his soul now in Lord Lynn's hands, things are likely to take another step forward."

"Incredible! Incredible! Lord Lynn's cultivation is progressing so rapidly; he might even be on the path to becoming a True Spirit!"

These words made the atmosphere even more enthusiastic, and more people gathered around.

Although the representatives of various forces are mostly representing their own forces, if they can befriend a future "True Spirit" level big shot, they will have made a huge profit.

Putting everything else aside, we can at least exchange a few pleasantries if we bump into each other in the future.

Faced with the enthusiastic guests, Lynn only exchanged a few polite words and did not intend to get to know them better.

He is not like Marfa; he is not good at interpersonal relationships or managing power. Everything he does is just to accumulate resources for better cultivation.

As Lynn dealt with the situation, he walked into the hall and glanced around. He saw that Cersei was standing in the back of the hall, waving at him.

He immediately went over, and Cersei whispered, "Come, let me introduce you to a few people."

She first pointed to an elderly woman in a dark blue robe on her left: "This is Chief Star Officer Kroll of the Astronomical Observatory, who is here today on behalf of the observatory to attend the ceremony."

Kroll nodded slightly, a star-shaped hair ornament tucked into his silver hair: "Chief Lynn, I've long admired your name, and meeting you today, I can see you are indeed extraordinary."

Lynn felt a slight chill in his heart, but nodded calmly, "You're too kind, Lord Star Officer."

People at the Star Observatory?

Are they "traditionalists" or "rebels"?

Did I come here simply to celebrate for myself?

Thinking that these people were all eccentric and liked to scheme everywhere, Lynn subconsciously wanted to avoid them and didn't want to get too close to them.

There's nothing I can do; my IQ isn't high enough, so I can only try to minimize contact with them.

Cersei then looked to her right at a tall man wearing a dark red battle robe and with an old scar on his face.

"This is Baluch, the Molten Lord of the Molten Core."

Baruch's voice was deep and resonant: "I've long heard that Chief Lynn is exceptionally strong and capable of taking on many opponents single-handedly. Today, I'm finally meeting him in person."

"You flatter me, Commander," Lynn said.

Cersei continued her explanation.

The hall also contained scholar representatives from the Grey Tower, messengers from the Shadow Embrace, and foreign affairs deacons from the Tower of a Thousand Laws, as well as two druids from the Woodlands of the Life Watchers.

These people aren't usually close to the Bone Spire, so their presence today is somewhat of a courtesy to the Bone Spire.

"This is from Lilith's Cottage, Lady Blacklu," said Cersei.

A beautiful woman draped in a purple veil smiled at Lynn, her eyes sweeping over him as if hooked: "Lord Lynn, if there is a chance in the future, I will definitely invite you to visit my little house."

"You're too kind, Madam. I'll definitely visit you when I have the chance," Lynn said calmly.

This "lady" is truly alluring; just a few words from her can ignite the desire in one's heart. Compared to her, Marfa is nothing.

After the introductions were finished, Cersei glanced at the time and said, "That's about enough. Please follow me and take your seats."

She raised her hand and swiped it across the ground, causing a circle of silver runes to light up on the floor in the center of the hall.

The light spread out, enveloping all the guests.

The representatives of the foreign forces' expressions changed slightly, and they instinctively wanted to hide, but fortunately someone whispered to them, "Don't worry, it's a teleportation magic array."

They then relaxed.

With a flash of silver light, a group of people disappeared from the hall and appeared on the viewing platform in the square.

The Soul Hunters were already waiting by the viewing platform and quickly stepped forward to guide the guests to their seats.

The viewing platform is the highest point, offering a panoramic view of the entire square.

The wizards and apprentices in the square immediately fell silent when they saw a group of people appear on the platform.

Everyone's eyes turned to look for Lynn on the viewing platform.

Some of the apprentices couldn't help but crane their necks and point at Lynn.

"See that? It's that one, wearing a dark purple robe."

"That's the Lord of All Things? He's so young."

"Nonsense, he's only been an apprentice for a few years and he's already a chief. Look at us, it's really infuriating to compare ourselves to others."

"This is what a true man should do..."

The apprentices lowered their voices, their eyes filled with envy. Some of the female apprentices even had shining eyes, staring intently at Lynn.
