Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!
Chapter 652 Severe Interrogation
"Hey kid, how old are you?"
The young man looked up and, seeing Tieya's posture, was clearly flustered. His lips trembled as he stammered, "Twenty...twenty."
"Twenty, still so young..." Iron Teeth sighed again. "How many years have you been doing this kind of thing?"
"Sir, I didn't do anything outrageous. I didn't do anything behind the pharmacy. I was just trying to make a living with the boss."
The young man quickly replied.
Tieya didn't ask any more questions and nodded to the guards behind him.
A guard went in, grinning maliciously as he dragged the young man to the rack and quickly locked his hands and feet.
Tieya walked over, tapped the whip on the ground, and water droplets splashed onto the man's face.
"I'll ask you one more time, did you receive orders from someone yesterday? Who sent you here?"
"Nobody's here! We just can't stand seeing unscrupulous merchants harming people! Our boss said we have to teach them a lesson." The young man shouted loudly.
Iron Fang shook his head and lashed out with his whip.
The salt water whip landed on his shoulder, and the skin and flesh immediately curled up, as if a piece had been bitten off by a snake.
The young man screamed in pain, his body jerking upwards.
"Make it up...make it up again," Iron Teeth said.
"No one ordered us to do this! We just... ah!"
The second lash struck his ribs, and the young man bit his lip until it bled, his face covered in snot and tears.
"I have plenty of time, so you don't need to rush." Tieya dipped the whip in salt water again.
"I'll stop whenever you want to talk. Even if you really don't want to talk, it doesn't matter. I'll torture you to death."
"Anyway, there are more than a dozen of you. I don't believe the rest of you are just as stubborn."
The young man cried out, "Sir, spare me! I don't know anything! Please, spare me!"
Iron Teeth didn't stop, lashing out again and again.
The force was controlled extremely well, only injuring the skin and flesh, without damaging the tendons and bones.
The young man went from screaming in agony to begging for mercy, then from begging for mercy to shouting incoherently, until finally his voice cracked from shouting.
The others in the dungeon shuddered at the young man's pitiful cries.
After lashing the young man more than a dozen times, seeing that he was about to die, Tieya finally stopped.
"Change to another one."
The guards untied the young man and dragged in a short man.
Iron Teeth used the same method: first ask, then hit if there was no answer.
The shorter man was more resilient than the younger man, but he only endured about thirty lashes.
"I'll talk, I'll talk!" the short man cried.
"It was the boss who led us! He said someone was paying us to ruin Gray Feather Pharmacy!"
"Who paid for it?" Iron Teeth asked.
"I don't know! I really don't know! Only the boss knows!" The short man shook his head like a rattle.
Seeing the short man's cowardly appearance, Iron Teeth stopped hitting him and just had him dragged back.
He asked another question, and the answer was similar. He asked yet another question, and the answer remained firmly on the leader.
It seems that only the boss knows the real mastermind behind it all.
After questioning everyone, Tieya wrapped the whip around his hand and turned to the guard beside him.
"Bring over the one who died from taking poison."
The body that had been carried during the daytime disturbance was quickly moved to the middle of the torture chamber.
Tieya squatted down, pried open the deceased's mouth to take a look, and found no signs of poisoning. He then pulled open the front of the garment to check the chest.
The man's body was already cold, his skin was pale and bluish, and there was a dark purple indentation around his throat.
"The man was strangled," Iron Teeth said.
He flipped open the deceased's fingers and found that his fingernails were full of mud, there was a depression on the back of his head, and his scalp was badly broken.
"There was a blunt force trauma to the back of the head. He struggled before he died. There was even dirt under his fingernails. He was strangled to death by being pinned against the wall, not by taking medication."
Iron Teeth stood up, covered the body with the cloth again, and said to the guards, "Go ask them where this body came from."
The guards brought out the thinnest adventurer. When the man saw the corpse, his legs went weak and he confessed everything before Iron Fang could even begin to torture him.
"The boss told us to go to the slums to find him! He'd been dead for days; we dug him out of a mass grave overnight! We didn't kill him!"
"Who ordered it?" Iron Teeth asked.
"I don't know, only the boss knows. We just need to get to work and not ask any questions."
The skinny adventurer knelt on the ground, his forehead hitting the ground with a loud thud.
Iron Teeth waved for someone to take him away.
He glanced at the innermost solitary cell and knew that this matter would have to fall to that burly man.
"Bring that guy out," Iron Fang said.
Several guards went over and pulled the big man up from the ground.
The big man struggled, the chains rattling like a chained beast. He was dragged to the center of the torture chamber, where two guards forced him to kneel.
Iron Teeth didn't say anything, but first lashed out with his whip three times.
Each lash brought forth a string of blood droplets.
The burly man remained silent, displaying extreme toughness.
This damage was nothing to him, the Earth Knight; he had suffered a lot during his previous body training.
"He's got a tough bone." Iron Teeth tossed the whip aside and took a barbed iron hook from the torture rack.
"Your men have all confessed, so you should also confess honestly. Tell them everything you know, and you'll suffer less."
"Pah! A bunch of spineless cowards." The big man spat.
"Speak," Iron Teeth walked up to him, "so you won't suffer any more."
The big man looked up at him, his eyes red, and let out a strange "hehehe" laugh.
"I'll die if I tell, but I might live a couple more days if I don't. If I'm stubborn, maybe I can hold out until..."
The big man didn't finish speaking, but Tieya understood what he meant.
"Do you think anyone will come to your rescue after you enter the Gray Feather Clan's territory?"
Tieya wiped the blood-soaked whip back and forth on the big man's body and asked curiously.
"I'm curious, who has such power to get you out of here?"
The big man stopped talking; if he did, he would be truly doomed.
Seeing this, Tieya didn't waste any more words. He heated the iron hook until it was red-hot and then pressed it hard onto the big man's body.
The sizzling sound of flesh being scalded echoed from the torture chamber, along with the muffled roars of a burly man.
After most of the day had passed, when Tieya came out of the torture chamber, his hands were covered in blood.
He washed his hands and said to the guards standing by, "Keep an eye on them. Lock the leader up alone and don't let him bite his tongue."
The guard responded in a low voice.
Just as Iron Fang reached the dungeon entrance, he saw Lynn walking down from above.
He quickly stopped, bowed his head, and clasped his hands in a fist salute:
"Chief, we've gotten most of the information. They admitted they were instigated to cause trouble, and the dead man was dug out of a mass grave in the slums. But who's behind it all, only the leader knows."
"He didn't say a word?" Lynn asked.
"He's incredibly stubborn," Iron Teeth said. "Whether he talks or not, we can wait for outsiders to come and bail us out. If he talks, we're doomed."
Lynn's heart skipped a beat.
Outsiders are coming to rescue them? It seems there really is a force that wants to deal with the Gray Feather family.
Lynn didn't say anything and continued walking deeper into the dungeon.
Being stubborn? It's useless against a soul-based wizard like myself.
The mouth can lie, but the soul cannot.
