Dark Wizard: Rise! My undead army!

Chapter 651 A Wolf Enters a Tiger's Mouth

The group turned a corner, and the Gray Feather Clan's residence was just ahead.

The dark gray gate resembled an open beast's mouth, and the clan emblem on the lintel was faintly visible in the morning mist.

The young adventurer's legs went weak: "Boss, are we really going in?"

"What else can we do if we don't go in?" The short man asked, his face filled with despair.

"I only regret not drinking more yesterday, because we're setting off today," another adventurer murmured.

The burly man remained silent.

As he watched the door draw ever closer, the last shred of hope in his heart vanished.

Getting into this place is easy, but getting out is incredibly difficult; you'd only be thrown out like a dead dog if you turned into a corpse.

Lynn, the patriarch of the Grayfeather Clan, is a first-ring wizard and the overlord of the entire Graystone City.

In other people's eyes, these people are no different from stray dogs on the street.

"I absolutely cannot go in." This was the only thought in the big man's mind.

The forces behind him readily agreed to pay him, but when things really went wrong, they just shrank back.

No power would wage a full-scale war against a first-ring wizard family for the sake of a few errand runners.

They would only be discarded, dying in the dungeon without a sound.

The burly man didn't turn around, but quickly gave a wink to his men.

The exchange was subtle; the shorter man next to him was taken aback at first, but then he understood.

The others also realized what was happening.

The boss's meaning is very simple.

Run! If you don't run, it's all over!

The procession is still moving forward.

The city guards stood guard on either side of them, their spears gleaming, but their attention was focused on the Gray Feather Clan's gate.

Taking advantage of the moment, a few adventurers quietly moved closer to the city guards.

When they were still a dozen steps from the door, a young adventurer suddenly sprang into action.

He lowered his head, shoved the city guard on his left with his shoulder, and dashed toward the alley entrance.

"Run!" someone shouted again.

The entire team instantly erupted in chaos.

A short adventurer tried to elbow a nearby city guard, but missed and was instead hit on the leg by the spear shaft, falling face-first into the mud.

The other tall, thin man didn't even look at them and went straight behind the vegetable stall by the roadside.

"Stop!" the city guard shouted as he chased after them.

The adventurers scattered like frightened wild dogs.

But with magic-suppressing shackles on their feet, running felt like wearing iron balls; every step they took made a clanging sound on the stone slabs, making it impossible for them to run fast.

An adventurer hadn't run two steps before two city guards tackled him from behind.

He writhed and struggled on the ground, shouting "Let me go," but the shackles held his hands and feet tightly, and the more he struggled, the tighter they became.

Another one wants to bypass the Great Firewall.

Just as his hand reached up the wall, Tieya was already behind him, grabbed him by the back of his collar, and pulled him down like a chick.

The man fell against the wall, hitting the back of his head on a stone, and immediately lost consciousness.

The young adventurers who fled first were clearly knights or warriors, as they ran the fastest and furthest.

He walked past a vegetable stall, knocked over a basket of vegetables, and then turned into the alley.

Two city guards chased after him, but the young man was running very fast, and the alley was too narrow for him to maneuver his spear properly.

Just as the man was about to run out of the alley, Tieya kicked up a piece of gravel.

The pebble left a dark trail and struck the man's knee with pinpoint accuracy.

"Ah!" the young adventurer cried out in pain, kneeling down on one knee.

Two city guards pounced on him and pinned him firmly against the wall.

He kept yelling, his voice hoarse: "Let me go! I won't go! I won't go!"

"Do you think you can have your way?" The city guard slapped him, dragged him up, and escorted him back to the ranks.

The burly man wasn't idle either.

Seeing that his men were all trying to attract attention, creating an opportunity for him, he took a deep breath.

He unleashed all the remaining fighting spirit within his body, forcefully breaking free of the magic-suppressing shackles and charging to the side.

A city guard tried to stop him, but was shoved away by his shoulder, vomiting blood and collapsing to the ground.

The big man didn't run away; instead, he darted into the crowd in the opposite direction.

It's easier to run in crowded places.

He was strong and ran like a bull, scaring several timid passersby into scattering and screaming.

"Get out of the way! Get out of the way!" the big man roared as he charged forward.

Tieya stood still, waiting for the big man to run seven or eight steps before pushing off with his heel and shooting out like an arrow.

The burly man felt a chill run down his spine when he heard the wind whistling behind him.

That speed is clearly that of the Sky Knight!

He wanted to turn around to defend himself, but he was shackled and couldn't fully activate his fighting spirit, so he was a beat too slow.

Iron Teeth had caught up with him and kicked him squarely in the lower back.

With a "bang," the big man flew out and crashed into a water vat by the roadside.

The water from the jar splashed all over him, and shards of pottery embedded themselves in his back.

He lay on the ground, coughed a few times, and tried to get up, but Tieya stepped on the back of his neck.

"What a joke, you think you can run away from me?" Iron Fang's voice was cold and hard.

The burly man's face was pressed against the wet stone slab, and he was panting heavily.

He struggled a few times, then Tieya pressed down with all his might, like a mountain pressing down on him.

"No... I'm not running anymore."

The big man managed to squeeze out a few words.

The city guards surrounded them again and pinned the remaining adventurers to the ground.

These honest adventurers were all magic-based classes. Knowing they couldn't escape while wearing shackles, they simply stayed put.

In retrospect, their choice was wise.

Some of the others had their faces covered in blood from the beatings, while others were still crying and screaming for their parents. The one who had been knocked unconscious was dragged back by two city guards like a sack of potatoes.

Iron Teeth lifted the burly man from the ground, looked at his tattered clothes soaked through by the vat of water, and slapped him again:

"If you run again, I'll break both your legs."

"No! Three legs!"

Upon hearing this, the big man immediately became obedient, lowered his head, and dared not utter another word.

Breaking two legs is a minor matter, but if the third leg is also broken, then life would truly be meaningless.

His former airs of being a knight of the earth have now been completely shattered.

Several family guards reorganized the group and pushed the adventurers one by one through the Grayfeather family gate.

This time, no one dared to move, and even their breathing became quiet.

When entering the territory of a wizarding family, even a dragon has to behave itself.

The adventurers were led into the Grayfeather Clan's dungeon one by one, and the iron gate slammed shut behind them, making everyone tremble.

The entire street in Dongcheng has quieted down again.

A street vendor peeked out from the street corner, then quickly ducked back in, abandoning his stall and running straight towards the black market area.

Upon entering the dungeon, the adventurers were separated and imprisoned in different rooms to prevent them from colluding.

This time, without waiting for Lynn to explain further, Iron Teeth took up his whip and interrogated him first.

This can be considered a slight way to make up for the mistake I made yesterday.

Iron Fang soaked his whip in salt water, walked to the row of cells where the adventurers were imprisoned, and had the guards open the outermost cell door.

Inside was the young adventurer who had escaped first, huddled in a corner, trembling at the sound of the door opening.

Tieya didn't go in; he just stood at the doorway, looking at the man by the torchlight. He shook his head with regret, seemingly feeling sorry for the young man.

How could someone so young be so foolish?
