Chapter 16 Filch and Hakimi, the Three-Headed Dog!
Midnight Castle.
The four people moved along the wall in the dark corridor.
Luo Wei walked at the very front.
[Racial Trait Activated: Hobbit Stealth Lv2]
Footsteps: -100%
Harry and Ron didn't have such talent. Their footsteps echoed in the empty corridor, and although they were already very soft, to Rowe it sounded like trolls tap dancing.
"Shh!" Lowe suddenly stopped and made a gesture.
Hermione, wearing a pink bathrobe, followed at the back, looking reluctant and nervous.
"We're here," Harry whispered.
The trophy display room is just ahead. Moonlight streams in through the high windows.
Luo Wei squinted, scanning every corner of the room.
There is no Malfoy. There is no Crabbe. There is no Goyle.
"Is he scared?" Ron whispered excitedly.
"No. This is a trap."
Just then, heavy footsteps came from the other end of the corridor, accompanied by heavy breathing.
[Warning! Enemy unit detected!]
[True Name Verification: Orc Taskmaster Filch]
[Weapons: Lantern (for lighting), torture instruments]
"Smell around, darling," a hoarse voice said. "They're nearby... I can smell their fear..."
Filch is talking to his cat.
Harry stared wide-eyed in horror.
"Hide!" Hermione screamed.
Rowe didn't waste any words. He instantly flashed behind a massive suit of armor. Then, he reached out with both hands, grabbed Harry and Ron, and pulled them into the shadows.
Hermione cleverly slipped behind the trophy cabinet.
A few seconds later, Filch walked into the room.
He carried a dim oil lamp, and his wrinkled face appeared distorted and terrifying in the light.
At his feet, his pet cat, Mrs. Liz, was staring around with its lightbulb-like red eyes.

[Concealment value: 50%...40%...]
Lowe held his breath.
If we are discovered... if a battle unfortunately breaks out...
In an instant, Lowe simulated three attack plans in his mind (such as knocking someone unconscious with a frying pan?), but he immediately rejected them all.
At this moment, Hakimi stopped in front of the armor, hesitated for a while, and was about to leave.
suddenly!
"Aha!"
A sharp, piercing sound exploded in mid-air.
Mischievous Ghost.
The most troublesome mischievous elf of Hogwarts was floating in mid-air, looking down at the few young wizards hiding below with a smile on his face.
"That annoying first-grader! Running around everywhere in the middle of the night! Tsk, tsk, tsk!"

"Shut up, Peeves!" Ron growled. "Please!"
"Don't you want me to tell Filch?" Pippi grinned wickedly, then suddenly took a deep breath and screamed with a volume loud enough to shatter glass:
"The students aren't sleeping! The students aren't sleeping! They're in the trophy display room!"
Filch turned around abruptly, a flash of wild joy in his eyes.
"Where? Where is it?"
"run!"
Harry shouted.
There is no longer any need to sneak around and hide.
The four men rushed out of their hiding place and headed straight for the door.
Lowe was running at the back. He glanced back at Peeves floating in the air, a flash of anger in his eyes.
He yanked his wand (dagger) at the evil spirit, intending to deliver a fatal blow. But then he sadly remembered that he hadn't enchanted his weapon (he hadn't learned any spells to fight ghosts).
"I'll remember you, you evil spirit!" Rowe roared, then turned and ran.
They ran frantically down the corridor. Filch's footsteps followed closely behind, growing ever closer.
"This way!" Harry led the way toward a hidden door.
They passed through a tapestry, rushed into a secret passage, and then into a long gallery.
Just when they thought they had shaken off Filch, a dark figure suddenly appeared in front of them.
"Ouch!"
Harry bumped into something soft and squishy.
It was a ball of flesh curled up on the ground.
Neville Longbottom.
He couldn't get into the common room because he forgot the password, and had already fallen asleep in the hallway.
"Harry?" Neville rubbed his eyes and woke up. "Am I still dreaming?"
"Stop dreaming! Run!"
Rowe rushed over and grabbed Neville, who hadn't even reacted yet, and lifted him off the ground.
"Friendly troops, regroup! Continue the retreat!"
The five people stumbled and fell to the end of the fourth-floor corridor.
Dead end.
There was a locked wooden door in front of me.
Harry tried to push the door open, but it wouldn't budge.
"It's over!" Ron cried out in despair, "We're going to be caught!"
Footsteps could be heard clearly behind them. Filch was closing in.
"Get out of the way!"
Rowe tossed Neville to Ron, stepped back, and picked up the frying pan.
[Skill Preparation: Door-Breaking Shot]
[Judgment: Physical Demolition]
"No!" Hermione rushed forward, shoving Rowe aside. "Open the Alaho Cave!"
She tapped the lock with her wand.
Click.
The sound of the latch snapping open.
Luo Wei was taken aback.
This...this is magic?
No need for impact? No need for picking the lock? Just a spell?
That's... that's so unethical.
But now was not the time for sentimentality. They rushed in, quickly closed the door, and pressed their ears against it.
Outside the door, Filch arrived.
"They're right here..." Filch's voice lingered outside the door. "I think they're hiding..."
"Or maybe it turned into thin air and flew away," Mischievous Ghost said gloatingly from the side.
Filch walked away, grumbling and cursing. His voice faded into the distance.
The five people inside the door collapsed to the ground, panting heavily.
"We...we're saved..." Neville said, his voice trembling with tears.
Luo Wei suddenly felt a chill.
A chill even more terrifying than Filch's.
The chill came from behind them.
[WARNING! Colossal biological reaction detected!]
Danger Level: Skull Level (Instant Death)
[True Name Determined: Kaharos the Wolf]
Luo Wei turned around stiffly.
He saw it by the moonlight streaming in through the window.
Behind them, in this enormous room, stood a monster.
It was so big that it filled the space from floor to ceiling.
It has three heads.
Three pairs of crazy, yellow eyes.
Three gaping, blood-red mouths, drooling and baring sharp teeth.
It was looking down at the five little snacks that had invaded its territory.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione slowly turned around.
They didn't even have the strength to scream.
Loewe's fingers were trembling.
He slowly, very slowly reached into his coat, where he had hidden a steak that he had originally intended to have as a midnight snack.
"Calm down, Baggins," he told himself. "It's just a dog. A big dog."
"As long as it's not Smaug... we have a chance."
