The person is at Hogwarts, but the system is in Middle-earth!

Chapter 43 Heroic Treatment, Hufflepuff's Light!

At the school hospital, Luo Wei felt like he was about to rot.

Current Status: Lockdown (Medical Version)

[Remaining Time: 03:00:00]

[Buff: Madam Pomfrey's Affection (All attribute recovery speed +200%, movement speed -100%)]

Although Madam Pomfrey's "elf potion" was remarkably effective, he was still forced to stay in bed for three whole days. During those three days, his only entertainment was studying the mountain of gifts with Harry and listening to Ron (who had been knocked unconscious by a chess piece but only suffered minor injuries and was brought to his hospital room by Hermione the next day, looking as lively as ever) vividly describe what happened that night.

"You didn't see Malfoy's expression!" Ron sat on the edge of the bed, munching on a licorice stick he'd swiped from some upperclassman, waving his arms. "When Hermione ran to inform Professor McGonagall, and then Dumbledore flew out from under the trapdoor with you, that jerk's face turned green! Greener than Neville's toad! He must have thought you were dead!"

"I thought I was going to die too." Lowe leaned against the pillow, fiddling with a chocolate frog picture card he had just taken apart.

[Item: Portrait of the White Wizard (Gandalf)]

[Effect: Increases deterrence against dark creatures by 1 (slightly increases the holder's Sanity regeneration rate)]

[Note: Although this is just a card, the old man on it seems to be winking at you, as if to say, "This isn't over yet, little hobbit."]

"But seriously, buddy," Ron said in a low voice, looking at Rowe with adoration, even forgetting to chew the licorice stick in his mouth, "you really stood in front of that black fire for half an hour? Hermione said you looked like...like that hero from some continental story we talked about before!"

“It’s Middle-earth,” Harry corrected from the side. “Although I don’t know exactly where it is, it doesn’t seem to be on the map, but Rowe always says so. That’s his homeland, right?”

"Whatever it is," Ron shrugged, "the whole school is talking about your exploits. Some say you defeated a troll with a frying pan, some say you blocked dark magic with a frying pan, and some even say your frying pan is a goblin-made artifact..."

Luo Wei's lips twitched slightly. That's how rumors are born.

"Actually, my legs just went weak and I couldn't run," Luo Wei tried to explain.

"Don't be modest!" Ron shouted. "Fred and George even wanted to steal your frying pan to study it and see if they could mass-produce it. I had a hard time dissuading them."

Luo Wei subconsciously touched under his pillow to confirm that his [Refined Cast Iron Frying Pan +2] was still there.

Just then, there was a knock on the door of the ward.

A group of tall boys in yellow team uniforms walked in. The bright yellow stood out against the white hospital room, like a group of vibrant sunflowers.

The leader was tall and slender, with a dashing and energetic air about him, and a sunny smile that would make all the girls in the school scream.

Cedric Diggory.

[NPC: Young Master Luo Han / Elite Ranger]

[Faction: Friendly (Hufflepuff)]

[Rank: Lv.15 (All-Round Warrior)]

[Affection Level: Respect]

Behind him followed the other members of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team, all of them strong and muscular, like the Gondorian garrison.

"Hey, little hero." Cedric walked over with a smile, holding a large bouquet of flowers (which looked like they'd been smuggled from Professor Sprout's greenhouse, still smelling of fresh earth). "I heard you're about to be discharged, so we came to see you on behalf of the team. By the way, Rowe, I really miss your 'Shire Stew.' Mrs. Pomfrey's meals are torture; my taste buds are protesting."

Rowe was somewhat flattered. Although he and Cedric had spoken during their sorting season, Cedric was a Hufflepuff prefect and a prominent figure in the house.

"Thank you... Cedric." Lowe tried to sit up straight, displaying the dignity he should. "Once I'm discharged, I'll go to the kitchen and borrow a fire. I'll cook you a real 'Kelparavel' feast."

"That's wonderful." Cedric placed the flowers on the bedside table, which was already overflowing. "Although you didn't get to play in the games this semester, you still gave Hufflepuff a lot of exposure. Professor Sprout has been walking on air these past few days, and even the mandrakes in the greenhouse aren't as noisy."

He turned to his teammates and said, "See that? This is the kind of spirit we're looking for. Loyalty, courage, and a little bit... crazy. Even if you're usually a bit eccentric, when it matters, you have to dare to pull out your... uh, frying pan."

The team members let out a good-natured laugh. They all knew about Rowe's quirks as the "Frying Pan Ranger," but that didn't diminish their affection for their junior.

"I heard you fought Mystic one-on-one?" Cedric's smile faded, and he looked at Rowe seriously, a hint of concern in his eyes. "Although I think this might be a rumor, whatever happened that night, you had guts, Baggins. Like I said before, you're a true knight. Hufflepuff is proud of you."

Lowe looked into Cedric's sincere eyes. In the system's view, the halo above Cedric's head was pure gold, representing [Lawful Good]. He was a true prodigy, and a true friend.

"To protect the badger's den..." Lowe instinctively puffed out his chest and said in a bard-like tone, "Even if the Dark Lord descends, we'll flatten him with a frying pan. It's our duty as... members of the Fellowship of the Ring."

Cedric paused for a moment, then burst out laughing and patted Rowe on the shoulder forcefully.

"Well said! 'Guard the Badger's Den'!" Cedric turned to his teammates and said, "Did you hear that? We need this same spirit for next year's Quidditch Cup! Whether our opponent is the Gryffindor Lion or the Slytherin Snake, we'll crush them!"

"Oh!!!" The team members cheered in unison, their voices so loud they almost lifted the ceiling.

Mrs. Pomfrey stormed out of her office angrily: "Quiet! This is a hospital! Not a Quidditch pitch! One more word and I'll mute you all!"

The Quidditch players scattered immediately. Before leaving, Cedric winked at Rowe and made a "see you later" gesture.

[System Settlement: Reputation Increase]

[Title Obtained: Hufflepuff's Light (Small Area)]

[Current Reputation Level: Friendly -> Exalted (Hufflepuff)]

After the enthusiastic Quidditch team left, the ward fell silent.

"Wow!" Ron exclaimed enviously, his eyes practically turning into hearts. "Cedric Diggory came to see you in person! George and Fred said he's the most handsome boy at Hogwarts, even the ghost wants to date him."

"He is indeed quite handsome," Harry nodded, a hint of envy in his voice. "I wish I were that tall."

Then he opened the box of chocolate frogs in his hand, which was a gift from Neville.

"Look who this is... Oh my god!" Harry exclaimed.

"Who is it?" Luo Wei leaned closer, his curiosity piqued.

"It's Morgan le Fay." Harry handed the card to Rowe. "The infamous Dark Witch, Merlin's archenemy."

Rowe took the card; the witch on it had a sinister face and malicious eyes, staring coldly at him.

[Warning: Faint dark aura detected]

[Item: The Fallen Witch's Curse Card]

[Suggestion: Destroy it immediately, or use it to prop up table legs]

Suddenly, the chocolate frog that had been lying on the edge of the box pretending to be dead moved. It kicked off with its hind legs and leaped out of the box, heading straight for Rowe's nose.

Lowe's pupils contracted sharply, and almost reflexively, he grabbed the frying pan from under his pillow. His movements were incredibly fast, leaving a black afterimage in the air.

"Snapped!"

The poor chocolate frog was slammed against the opposite wall and turned into a brown stain.

Ron's mouth dropped open, and the licorice stick in his hand fell to the ground.

Harry pushed up his slipped glasses, staring dumbfounded at the puddle on the wall, then at the frying pan in Rowe's hand.

"Um..." Harry swallowed hard. "Love, it was just... a chocolate frog. It wasn't poisonous and it didn't bite."

Lowe maintained his hitting posture.

"Never let your guard down, Harry. In the world of dark magic, even a frog could be Sauron in disguise, or some kind of shapeshifting dark creature," Rowe said with a straight face, spouting nonsense. "And it just tried to attack my nose. That's an unforgivable provocation."

Ron picked up the licorice stick, blew off the dust, and exclaimed sincerely, "Dude, you're so...cool. I'm going to buy a frying pan too."

[Achievement Completed: Frying Pan Master]

Proficiency: +5

[Comment: You've grasped the true meaning of "everything can be photographed."]

Sunlight streamed through the window, bathing the three boys and making the pool of chocolate sauce on the wall glitter. It was the last afternoon before the end of the semester, filled with absurdity, laughter, and something called friendship!
