Chapter 44 Gryffindor, Part 1: The Team Separates!

The Great Hall is decorated with green and silver, representing Slytherin.

On the wall behind the main seating area hung a huge banner depicting a Slytherin snake. This meant they had won the College Cup for seven consecutive years.

Rowe sat at the long table in Hufflepuff, surrounded by classmates who were excitedly discussing the upcoming holidays or complaining about their exam results.

In his view, the entire auditorium presented a different scene.

[Scene: Minas Tirith's Throne Room]

[Status: Eve of Triumph Celebration]

Current ruler: Saruman's ally (Slytherin)

"Looks like the Regent of Gondor is ready to celebrate his victory," Rowe muttered to himself, poking at the mashed potatoes on his plate with his fork.

Justin Finley, sitting opposite him, leaned closer: "What are you talking about, Rowe? What regent?"

"Nothing," Rowe shook his head. "I was saying... Slytherin's taste for decoration is as somber as ever."

Just then, the auditorium suddenly fell silent.

Dumbledore arrived.

The old principal, dressed in a gold-red robe, smiled and surveyed the entire room.

"Another year has passed!" he said enthusiastically. "Before you all enjoy the delicious food, I must trouble you to listen to this old man's clichés..."

As Dumbledore spoke, the smiles on the Slytherin students' faces grew brighter and brighter. At present, Slytherin was far ahead.

"However," Dumbledore suddenly changed the subject, "some things have happened recently that must also be taken into account."

The entire hall fell silent. Malfoy's smile froze.

"First, I want to award Mr. Ron Weasley..." said Dumbledore, "for the most brilliant game he has ever played. He is awarded fifty points to Gryffindor."

A cheer erupted from the Gryffindor table.

"Secondly, I want to reward Miss Hermione Granger... for her calm and logical reasoning in the face of flames. She is awarded fifty points from Gryffindor."

Hermione buried her face in her arms and cried.

"Third, Harry Potter..." Dumbledore paused, "because he displayed extraordinary courage and daring. He is awarded 60 points by Gryffindor."

The scores have changed dramatically. Gryffindor's scores have risen sharply, and the Great Hall is deafening. Everyone is frantically calculating their scores.

Finally, the result came out: 472 to 472.

Gryffindor and Slytherin share the spoils equally!

The Great Hall was deathly silent. The Gryffindor students held their breath.

"Fourth," Dumbledore's voice became solemn, "courage comes in many forms. It takes great courage to deal with enemies, and it takes just as much courage to support friends. I award Mr. Neville Longbottom a ten."

"oh!!!"

The Gryffindor long table erupted in cheers. Harry, Ron, and Hermione jumped up, shouting with joy. This meant they had overtaken Slytherin! Gryffindor had won the House Cup!

But Dumbledore raised a hand, and the cheers gradually subsided.

"Finally," Dumbledore's gaze swept across the crowd and landed on the long table in Hufflepuff, "I want to reward Mr. Rowe Baggins."

All eyes were on Rowe.

Luo Wei felt his heart race. System notifications were flashing wildly in front of his eyes.

[Event: Maiar's Conferment of Honors]

Please remain silent.

"Even when faced with insurmountable darkness," Dumbledore's voice became deep and powerful, "he still dared to wield his weapon, even if it was just a frying pan, and vowed to hold the last line of defense."

"This kind of courage is no less than facing death itself."

Dumbledore smiled at Rowe: "A reward for Mr. Rowe Baggins: fifty points."

boom!

This time, the Hufflepuff table erupted in cheers. Susan, Hannah, Justin... everyone jumped up, screaming, cheering, and banging their plates on the table.

"Hurricane Hufflepuff! We're not last anymore!"

Although Hufflepuff's total score did not surpass Gryffindor's, these fifty points were enough to lift them out of the bottom of the pack and even surpass Ravenclaw.

The Great Hall was filled with laughter and cheerful conversation, except at the Slytherin table. Seeing the green banner turn into a golden-red lion, and witnessing Malfoy's expression as if he'd swallowed a fly, Lowe's lips curled into a slight smile.

The next day, the Hogwarts Express arrived at King's Cross Station.

Students poured out of the platform like a tide.

"Hey, Rowe! Harry!"

Hagrid walked over, his big face full of smiles.

"I think I should see you off." Hagrid wiped his eyes. "This year has been...so exciting."

He handed Harry a leather-bound photo album: "Here you go, Harry. I got some photos from some old classmates... they're of your parents."

Harry was so excited he couldn't speak.

Then Hagrid turned to Rowe and took a small, cloth-wrapped object out of his pocket.

"Professor Dumbledore asked me to give this to you, Rowe." Hagrid blinked. "He said it's what they found in that gas-filled room...it looks like a piece of charred metal. The professor said that since you were guarding that place so closely, this might be a keepsake for you."

Luo Wei took the heavy little cloth bag and opened it.

Inside was a dark, sharp-edged metal fragment, which looked like part of some ancient vessel or weapon, with traces of black flames still remaining on it.

But in Rowe's eyes, this piece of scrap metal radiated a dazzling golden light.

Luo Wei's hands trembled slightly. He solemnly tucked the cloth bundle into his bosom.

"Thank you, Hagrid." Rowe looked up. "And please thank Gandalf for me too."

"Gandalf?" Hagrid scratched his messy hair. "You mean Dumbledore? Well, I'll pass it on. Although he probably won't understand your weird talk."

Hagrid laughed and patted the two boys on the shoulder, almost knocking them into the ground.

After saying goodbye to Hagrid, the two headed towards the exit.

Harry dragged his large trunk, while Hedwig cooed in her cage.

Ron and Hermione caught up.

"Hello, Fellowship of the Ring," Rowe greeted them with a smile.

"What squad?" Ron was a little confused, but he quickly put the question out of his mind. "You have to come to my house during summer vacation, Rowe! My mom heard you're a great cook, and she wants to exchange some tips with you on 'how to deal with goblins'."

"I guess it's about how to cook goblins?" Hermione rolled her eyes, then turned to Rowe, her tone becoming serious. "Rowell, you're not allowed to misuse your... weird gadgets in the Muggle world during the holidays. Especially that sword, and that frying pan."

"Don't worry, Elf Princess." Lovi blinked. "In the Shire, we'll bury the sword underground."

"I don't know what you're talking about, but it sounds pretty good." Hermione couldn't help but laugh and gave Rowe a hug. "Take care, Rowe."

"Take care too." Rowe patted Hermione on the back.

Just then, Susan Bornes ran over, her face flushed, holding a small paper packet in her hand.

"Here you are, Lo Wei." She shoved the paper package into Lo Wei's hand. "It's homemade toffee sent by my aunt. It might not taste as good as yours, but..."

"This is the best dry rations." Lowe solemnly accepted the paper package.

[Items obtained: Lambas (fake) / Heart-shaped Toffee]

Susan blushed even more and turned to run back to Hannah's side.

Rowe put the toffee into his inner pocket, then turned to Harry.

"So, are you going back to that place, you who uphold the precepts?"

"Yes." Harry gave a wry smile. "The Dursleys. You know, the Muggle aunts."

"That's only temporary." Rowe reached out and squeezed Harry's hand firmly. "When darkness falls again, when the shadow of Mordor looms once more... we will gather again."

Until then, Ciel will always welcome you.

Harry looked at Rowe, and the gloom in his eyes seemed to dissipate somewhat.

"Thank you, Loewy."

Just as Harry turned to walk through the platform partition, Rowe's system suddenly popped up a red warning.

[Warning: Suspicious biological activity detected]

[Characteristics: Short stature, large eyes, talks to oneself]

[Suspected Target: Gulu]

Luo Wei turned around abruptly.

In the bustling crowd, behind a thick stone pillar, he saw a pair of green eyes as big as tennis balls. A small monster with ears like bat wings was staring intently at Harry's back.

It was wearing a dirty pillowcase, looking both pitiful and eerie.

Dobby.

But in Luo Wei's eyes, that name was forcibly replaced by another, more dangerous one by the system.

Target locked: Gulu

[Status: Tracking The Lord of the Rings]

"Damn it." Rowe's hand instinctively reached for the frying pan in his backpack. "It's catching up."

The little monster seemed to sense Luo Wei's gaze, its eyes widening in terror before it vanished with a "pop."

The first year is over. Voldemort has temporarily stepped down.

But new threats have emerged.

"Looks like the holiday won't be boring after all." Luo Wei tightened the strap of his backpack and strode towards the exit.

Behind him, the white steam billowing from the Hogwarts Express gradually dissipated, as if a grand dream had come to an end.

And in the far distance, the horns of Middle-earth seemed to still faintly echo!
