Chapter 51 Flying Over the Mountains, You're in Big Trouble!
Happy times always pass too quickly, and before we knew it, September 1st arrived.
Because Ginny was starting school this year, the Weasleys had twice as much luggage as usual. Adding to the problem, Percy had to patrol the prefects' car, and George and Fred only remembered to stuff the tinderbox into their suitcases at the last minute, causing them to be late when they finally set off.
"Hurry! Hurry up!" Mr. Weasley urged anxiously. "Ginny and Percy are already in, and George and Fred just went in! You're the only ones left!"
"Last one!" Ron gasped, pushing his suitcase through the ticket gate. "Hurry, only one minute left!"
Harry pushed the cart toward the partition between platforms 9 and 10.
"Bang!"
A loud crash. Harry and the stroller slammed into the stone wall, bounced back, and fell to the ground. The cage containing Hedwig rolled on the ground, and the surrounding Muggles, hearing the noise, turned to look.
"What happened?" Ron turned to look at the clock on the wall. "It's 11 o'clock! The train has left!"
Luo Wei rushed over and touched the wall with his hand.
Rowe rushed over, his movements as swift as a knight-errant. He reached out and placed his hand on the cold brick wall, closing his eyes to sense the fluctuations of magic.
[System Warning: Path blocked]
[Type: High-level spatial confinement / Moria West Gate locked state]
[Requires: Spell "Mellon" (not yet mastered) or Battering Ram (not yet equipped)]
"The door is closed." Lowe's expression was grave. "This wasn't an accident. It was a tactical blockade by the enemy. They cut off our supply lines to Rivendell and trapped us here."
"We can't go back to Hogwarts." Harry said in despair, rubbing his sore ribs. "This is it, if only I had the Dursleys' phone..."
"No," Luo Wei said, "we have other ways."
"Since the underground route is blocked, let's fly over the Calradias Mountains!"
......
Ten minutes later, the Ford flying car broke through the clouds.
"This is insane!" Ron gripped the steering wheel tightly. "If Muggles see this... Daddy will kill me!"
"The stealth boosters are activated." Lowe, sitting in the back seat, gave a pep talk. "Maintain course, pilot. We're crossing the Misty Mountains. Altitude two thousand feet, heading due north."
But the good times didn't last long!
"Buzz!!"
The car suddenly shuddered violently, emitting a sickening metallic scraping sound. Immediately afterward, the invisible silver button shrieked and sprang out like a bullet, bouncing wildly inside the carriage.
"Damn it! The stealth booster has failed!" Ron pounded on the instrument panel.
[WARNING: Disguise system offline]
Exposure risk: Extremely high
[Environmental Warning: Encountering High-Altitude Airflow]
"Hold on!" Rowe roared. "We've been exposed! We must avoid Muggle sight and get into the clouds!"
Ron instinctively jerked the steering wheel, causing the car to flip dramatically in mid-air, nearly throwing Harry out of the window.
"You almost threw us out!" Harry gripped the doorknob tightly. "Watch the road... or the clouds!"
The next few hours were undoubtedly agonizing. The car was exhausted, its body shaking as if it were tap dancing.
"I'm so thirsty." Harry licked his lips.
"Bear with it, Ringbearer." Rowe handed him a mint. "This is the last of Lambak. We must get to Helm's Deep before sunset... I mean Hogwarts."
Finally, as dusk approached, the majestic castle appeared on the horizon.
"We're here!" Ron shouted excitedly. "It's just ahead!"
Suddenly, the car's engine roared loudly and then stalled completely. It began to plunge uncontrollably downwards.
"Out of gas!" Ron cried out in despair.
"Loss of power! Stalling!" Lowe looked down at the rapidly approaching treetops; the system interface was filled with red warnings. "Emergency landing! That's the edge of the Fangon Forest! Prepare for impact stance! Protect your head!"
The flying car roared towards the ground.
"Bang! Crack! Boom!"
The car crashed hard into a huge willow tree and got stuck among its dense foliage.
Plane crash confirmed
Crew Status: Minor Injury (Sanity -10)
[WARNING: Entering hostile mob territory]
[High-energy reaction detected!]
The next second, the whole tree began to shake. A branch thicker than a thigh lashed out like a whip and slammed hard onto the roof of the car.
"Clang!"
The roof of the car was smashed and left a large dent.
"Aaaaaah!" Ron screamed, "The tree is hitting us!"
[Encountering a Boss-level Creature!]
[Real Name: Darenliu]
[Race: Huon/Fallen Ent]
[Status: Berserk]
[Skills: Sweeping Strike, Heavy Strike, Root Entanglement]
"Don't be afraid! It's the guardian of the forest, maybe we can communicate with it!" Lowe pushed open the car door and jumped out. He stood under the tree, opened his arms to the wildly waving tree, trying to show friendliness.
He took a deep breath and shouted in a strange, guttural language:
"Avo garo! Avo garo!"
The tree paused for a second, as if bewildered by the strange cry of the tiny human. Taking advantage of this moment, Harry and Ron quickly scrambled down.
But clearly, this tree wasn't as good-natured as the tree beard. It couldn't understand Sindarin; its pause just now was merely a gathering of strength!
"Watch out!" Harry shouted.
The next second, an even thicker branch swept across and shattered the rear window, sending shards flying everywhere.
Negotiations failed.
[Opponent Faction: Chaotic Evil/Corrupted by Saruman]
[Recommendation: Escape!]
"Negotiations have broken down!" Rowe's expression changed instantly, and he rolled backward to dodge the attack. "It has already sided with Saruman! It's a demonic tree from the Black Forest! Ron! Use your wand!"
"What happened?" Ron cried, looking at the broken wand in his hand, held only by a sliver of unicorn hair. "It's broken! Look! It's almost broken in two!"
"Then use it to start a fire! Or anything at all! This tree is afraid of fire!"
Ron waved the broken wand wildly, chanting a spell. Instead of flames, the tip of the wand emitted a thick plume of black smoke.
The smoke seemed to interfere with the willow's senses. Its branches began to lash out wildly.
Just then, the Ford sedan seemed to awaken some kind of self-awareness. The engine let out a defiant roar, like a startled wild horse. It started on its own, reversed violently, fishtailed, smashed through several tree branches with the bumper, and desperately struggled to break free from its entanglement.
"Get in the car!" Harry shouted, trying to open the car door.
But Rowe grabbed him. "No! It's too badly injured! We can't add to its burden! Besides, that's within the range of Fallen Ent's attack!"
In the brief moment they hesitated, the flying car had already sped off on its own.
It flung all the luggage out of the trunk at once—Harry's trunk, Ron's trunk, Hedwig's cage, and Rowe's backpack—all of them were thrown onto the grass.
Then, the battered car let out a mournful whine and drove itself into the depths of the forbidden forest, quickly disappearing into the darkness.
"No! Come back!" Ron cried out in despair, "Dad will kill me!"
Lo Wei lay on the ground, watching the disappearing "chariot," and solemnly saluted.
"It was a good comrade-in-arms." Rowe wiped the engine oil off his face. "To cover us, it lured the enemy away by itself. It will become a legend in the Forbidden Forest, a wild and untamed metal monster."
Harry and Ron slumped to the ground, looking at the Whomping Willow that was still wildly waving its branches, and then at Rowe's tragic expression.
"I think..." Harry gasped, "we might really be going crazy. This is absolutely forbidden in the school rules."
"As long as we're alive," Rowe reached out and pulled them up. "Let's go to the castle. I think we'll need a cup of hot tea, or a good scolding from Professor McGonagall."
The three of them then picked up their luggage and walked to the gates of Hogwarts Castle, which was not far away.
[System Settlement]
[Chapter Complete: The Wrath of the Hit-and-Run Willow]
[Reward: Damage Resistance Lv2 (Survived a plane crash)]
[Title Acquired: Enemy of Treants (More vulnerable to plant attacks in the forest)]
[Special Event Triggered: The Doorkeeper of Hogwarts]
They had just reached the stone steps and hadn't even had a chance to knock when the door creaked open.
A hunched figure stood in the shadows, carrying a dim oil lamp. Suddenly, a malicious face appeared, cradling a hamster in its arms.
It's Argus Filch!
"Hehehe, I've been waiting here ever since I heard that noise. I've been waiting for ages." He glared at them maliciously. "Mr. Potter, Mr. Weasley... and you, Loewy. Everyone else has gone to the party, and you..."
"You're in big trouble! Hehehe..."
