Chapter 52 Roaring Letter, Ron Society is Dead!

"I've been waiting here ever since I heard the sound; I've been waiting for a long time."

"Mr. Potter, you're in big trouble! Hehehe..."

Filch led them to Snape's office. It was like going from one danger to another.

Snape looked at the three troublemakers with a "they're all in my hands" expression.

"Even disregarding the irreparable damage Mr. Weasley caused to the Whomping Willow, your behavior is enough to warrant being expelled ten times over."

He picked up a copy of the Daily Prophet and tapped the headline on the front page with his wand—"Ford Flying Car Appears Over Muggles."

"You've been discovered."

"While I don't have the authority to expel you—that's a decision only Professor McGonagall can make. If I were the principal, you could pack your bags and leave right now! But I'm happy to inform you to prepare for your detention! And, given your contempt for school rules, I have reason to suspect..."

"Do they suspect we're acting on Sauron's orders?"

"Or is it because we didn't swear allegiance to Saruman?"

Snape's lips twitched, as if he was barely holding back from giving this student, who was spouting nonsense, a Legilimency.

Fortunately, just then, the office door was pushed open. Professor McGonagall arrived just in time with Headmaster Dumbledore.

Reinforcements have arrived!

[Unit: Albus Dumbledore (Gandalf in his white wizard form)]

[Unit: Minerva McGonagall (Queen of the Golden Forest in Galadriel)]

[Aura Effect: Dispels fear, Sanity regeneration speed +50%]

After a one-sided reprimand, they were forcibly taken out of Snape's office. Although they were unlikely to be fired, they couldn't escape solitary confinement.

It was late at night when they were finally released from the cellar.

The sorting ceremony in the auditorium has just ended, and the students are enjoying their dinner.

"I think we'd better get something to eat first." Ron clutched his stomach, making a rumbling sound. "I'm starving. My stomach felt like it was cramping up at Snape's place."

"Me too." Harry breathed a sigh of relief. As long as he wasn't expelled, anything tasted good.

They slipped into the Great Hall and sat down at the Gryffindor table. Hermione was already there, watching them with concern, clearly having heard about the flying car incident.

While stuffing a chicken leg into his mouth, Luo Wei looked around.

Suddenly, his gaze fell on the other end of the long table.

Sitting there were the first-year students who had just finished their sorting. Among them was a little girl with red hair, Ron's sister Ginny. But unlike the other excited freshmen, she looked somewhat dazed and pale.

Luo Wei narrowed his eyes.

[Target identified: Ginny Weasley]

[Status: Weak/Confused/Will Check Failed]

[Possessing Item: Unknown High-Rank Dark Magic Item]

[Erosion level: 5% (initial contact)]

[Warning: An abnormal resonance of soul fluctuations has been detected!]

Ginny definitely didn't look right; her eyes would sometimes become vacant.

"She's been contaminated." Lowe frowned and put down the chicken leg in his hand.

He recalled the scene at Flourish and Blotts. Although the scene was chaotic, and he was rushing to save Harry, when he returned he only saw Lucius leaving with his son. But now, looking at Ginny's condition, coupled with the faint alarm from the system earlier, a terrible hypothesis formed in his mind.

Taking advantage of the fight, Lucius Malfoy stuffed the black thing into Ginny's cauldron.

"That's a fragment of the One Ring... or a similar evil Horcrux," Rowe muttered to himself.

"Ron, Harry," Rowe swallowed the chicken in his mouth, leaned closer to the two, and whispered, "Watch that direction."

"Who? Ginny?" Ron, his mouth full of mashed potatoes, turned his head and glanced at her indistinctly. "What's wrong with her? She's probably just too tired. Sorting is pretty stressful, after all. I almost threw up in my Sorting Hat the first time I sorted."

"No." Rowe shook his head, his expression grave. "Her light has dimmed. It's like a wound inflicted by the Blade of Gur, slowly festering. You must monitor her constantly. If she starts talking to thin air, or treasures a black book, or even shows signs of amnesia..."

"Love, stop scaring her," Harry interrupted him helplessly, pouring Love a glass of pumpkin juice. "Ginny's just a little shy. Besides, she's a Gryffindor, we'll take care of her."

"You don't understand," Lowe sighed. "Some darkness is invisible. It seeps into your soul through words, whispers, and dreams."

Clearly, they didn't take Rowe's warning to heart. In their view, it was just another of Rowe's usual "mystical" performances.

Lowe could only look at Ginny helplessly. He was a Hufflepuff, and Ginny was in Gryffindor, so there were many things he couldn't interfere with. He couldn't very well barge into the Gryffindor girls' dormitory and rummage through Ginny's luggage, could he? Before he even found the diary, Professor McGonagall would turn him into a teapot.

"I guess I'll just have to rely on my silly older brother Ron to keep an eye on things," Rowe thought. "Hopefully, that 'Ringholder' will be strong."

The next morning, in the auditorium.

Sunlight streamed through the glass windows onto the long table, but it did not dispel the gloom in Luo Wei's heart.

"We need to keep an eye on her," Rowe whispered to Harry as he cut the bacon into neat little pieces.

"What?" Harry didn't hear clearly, because at that moment, hundreds of owls flew into the Great Hall, the sound of their wings flapping deafening.

[Enemy attack alert! Aerial units approaching!]

[Type: Messenger/Bio-Bomber]

High-risk target detected!

An old, exhausted-looking owl wobbled over, a bright red envelope in its beak. Clearly annoyed by the long flight, it plunged headfirst into Hermione's milk jug, splashing milk all over Ron.

"Oh no..." Ron looked at the unconscious owl, then at the red envelope, and his face turned deathly pale. "It's a howling letter!"

At this moment, the red envelope was already smoking.

In Loewy's view, this was more than just a letter.

[High-energy reaction detected!]

[Item: Dark Whisper Scroll/Dragon Shout Seal]

[Attribute: Sonic Weapon/Mental Strike]

[Countdown: 3... 2...]

"Get down!" Rowe shouted, his reaction was surprisingly fast.

With superhuman speed, he grabbed two soft bread rolls from the table and shoved them into his ears. Then, he quickly crouched down and shoved Harry's head, who was still in shock, under the table as well.

"Love, what are you doing..." Harry was about to protest.

"Ronald Weasley!!!"

The envelope exploded.

The loud noise reverberated throughout the auditorium, causing dust to fall from the ceiling and even making the sausages on the plates jump.

"Shame on you... I can't believe it... Your father is under investigation... If you dare to misbehave again, get back here!"

Molly Weasley's voice was amplified hundreds of times, turning into a tangible sonic attack.

The students covered their ears in terror, and Neville was so frightened that he fell off the bench.

Lowe crouched under the table, bread rolls stuffed in his ears, a calm expression on his face that said, "I knew this would happen." He even had the leisure to observe the burning letter, trying to analyze its magical structure.

"This sonic compression technology is very interesting..." Lowe analyzed in his mind. "If we could apply it to the battlefield, for example, by sealing Gandalf's roar inside and releasing it at the orc army, the effect would be spectacular. Perhaps I could develop a 'tactical roar grenade'?"

[Struck by sonic waves.]

Damage Reduction: 80% (Physical Soundproofing: Bread Roll)

[Sanity value: Stable.]

[Teammate Status: Ron Weasley (Stun/Social Distress Lv.Max)]

When the letter finally roared its last sentence and burned to ashes, the auditorium fell into a deathly silence. Only Ron's face, as red as a tomato, was still steaming.

Rowe slowly crawled out from under the table, pulled the bread roll out of his ear, took a bite as if nothing had happened, and then patted the terrified Ron on the shoulder.

"That's why I don't like magical communication." Rowe shook his head, looking disgusted. "It's too noisy and offers absolutely no privacy. In Middle-earth, we prefer to use moths or ravens—quiet, environmentally friendly, and won't make your ears bleed at the breakfast table."

Ron was pale, his eyes vacant, and he couldn't utter a single word. He felt as if he had been trampled and rubbed under the feet of a giant a hundred times over.

"Hey, look on the bright side," Rowe comforted him. "At least it didn't explode and burn off your eyebrows. I've heard that some dwarves' howls contain gunpowder."

Hermione closed her copy of *Walking with Vampires*, looking at them seriously. "I hope this teaches you a lesson. Don't break the rules again."

"Speaking of lessons learned..." Rowe seized the opportunity to bring up the previous topic again, gesturing with his chin to the other end of the Gryffindor table. Ginny was still trembling with fear from the earlier roaring letter.

"Mordor has extended its tentacles into Rivendell, Ron." Rowe's voice was low and serious. "If we don't stop it, darkness will devour us all."

Harry followed Rowe's gaze, but saw nothing but a frightened little girl.

"Love, don't scare her," Hermione interjected. "It's her first time away from home, she's a little nervous. Plus, Ron's yelling just now... I think any first-year would be frightened."

"Ignorance is bliss." Luo Wei shook his head and stopped arguing.

He pulled a parchment notebook from his pocket—his homemade "rogue's diary"—and began to write in it:

[Night Watchman's Diary - 3019th Century, Autumn]
