October 3, 2009, Mid-Autumn Festival.

"What are you doing?" Lin Chuan asked curiously, looking at Chen Xiyu fiddling with the delivery box.

"The camera someone sent me has arrived," Chen Xiyu said.

"A camera?" Upon hearing this, Lin Chuan became interested and got up to go take a look.

After Chen Xiyu opened the box, inside was a black, exquisite camera, along with some accessories.

Lin Chuan wasn't very knowledgeable about camera brands, only knowing things like Nikon and Canon, but this black camera wasn't from any of those well-known brands.

The camera lens had "Leica" written on it. Lin Chuan read it aloud, following the English pronunciation, "Leica?"

"Yes, it looks like a Leica S2." Chen Xiyu took out the camera.

"Although I don't understand it, it seems pretty impressive. It probably isn't cheap," Lin Chuan said.

"I don't know, someone else bought it," Chen Xiyu said.

She fiddled with the camera for a while, looking at the instruction manual and watching videos, fiddling with it back and forth.

"Do you know how?" Lin Chuan asked.

"No way," Chen Xiyu replied confidently.

"Let me do it." Lin Chuan said, taking the camera from her hand and quickly setting it up, putting in the batteries and such.

He didn't have any professional knowledge about cameras, but assembling things according to the instructions was no different from a child building Lego; it was very simple.

"Does the camera need batteries?" Chen Xiyu looked a little surprised.

Lin Chuan turned to look at her, even more surprised, "Isn't this common sense?"

"What kind of common sense is that?" Chen Xiyu said.

Lin Chuan handed over the assembled camera. Chen Xiyu took the assembled camera, turned it on, and the camera screen lit up, showing the image and various data parameters.

"Come on, let me take a picture of you." Chen Xiyu raised her camera and pointed it directly at him.

"No!" Lin Chuan was startled and subconsciously raised his hand to block.

Before he could refuse, Chen Xiyu's camera flashed, and a photo was taken.

Chen Xiyu looked at the camera. In the photo, the boy had one hand covering half of his face, only half of it was visible, and his eyebrows and eyes were slightly furrowed.

Lin Chuan also came over to take a look, "The photo looks really weird."

"Then it's your problem. I heard this camera is quite expensive, so it must be your problem," Chen Xiyu said.

Lin Chuan said, "The camera is definitely not the problem; it must be a technical issue with the photographer."

"It's about the model," Chen Xiyu retorted.

"..."

"Then take a picture for me and see whose problem it is." Chen Xiyu handed over the camera directly.

Lin Chuan took the camera, not really understanding any parameters or anything, but he tried raising the camera and pointing it at Chen Xiyu.

Chen Xiyu walked to the window, turned around with her back to the sunlight outside, her long hair dancing in the wind. Lin Chuan pressed the shutter, and there was another click.

Chen Xiyu then jogged over to look. In the photo, the girl was wearing a white nightgown, with fair skin and long black hair; she looked extremely beautiful.

"Yes, that's a good shot." Chen Xiyu nodded.

"It's because the photographer is skilled."

"It's good to be a model," Chen Xiyu said.

In the afternoon, Chen Xiyu kept fiddling with her camera, taking pictures everywhere.

Lin Chuan didn't spend all his time in front of the computer. When he had a spare moment, he took out the test papers issued by the school and started working on them.

As night fell, Mom prepared dinner in the kitchen, following the same standards as during the Lunar New Year, with several dishes and even a stewed chicken.

Here, the Mid-Autumn Festival is also a time for family reunion dinners, where the whole family eats together.

Seeing that the food was almost ready, Mom called out to her son, "Xiao Chuan, go next door and call Xiao Xi over for dinner."

Lin Chuan walked out of his room and went straight to the next room. After knocking on the door for a while, Chen Xiyu came and opened it.

"Let's go eat," Lin Chuan said.

"Wait for me!" Chen Xiyu said, and ran back into the house.

"What are you doing?" Lin Chuan asked curiously.

After a while, Chen Xiyu came out, but she was now carrying an exquisitely packaged gift box.

"What is this?" Lin Chuan asked.

"My mom asked me to bring mooncakes back with me when I came back from dinner last night," Chen Xiyu said.

Lin Chuan glanced at it; the packaging box was as exquisite as ever, clearly a brand-name product. "Could there be some kind of red banknotes stuffed inside? I've seen that in TV dramas."

Chen Xiyu rolled her eyes at him. "You're crazy."

As soon as she entered the house, Chen Xiyu handed over the box of mooncakes she was carrying. "Aunt Wang, Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! These are mooncakes my mom brought me."

Mom was taken aback, wiped her hands, and reached out to take the mooncake box. "Why did you bring something else?"

"Hehe, my mom told me to bring it," Chen Xiyu said.

"Okay, okay, remember to tell your mom thank you for me. The food is ready, come and sit down to eat," Mom said.

"it is good."

The four of them quickly took their seats, and Mom opened the pot in the center. Instantly, a fragrant aroma wafted out; inside was a stewed chicken.

Mom picked up one of the chicken legs with her chopsticks and put it in Chen Xiyu's bowl, saying, "You seem to have lost some weight lately, eat some of this."

"Thank you, Aunt Wang," Chen Xiyu said.

"Didn't you gain a pound during this holiday?" Lin Chuan teased from the side.

"No!" Chen Xiyu glared at him, "Less than a pound!"

"We'll be there after we finish eating tonight," Lin Chuan said.

Chen Xiyu hesitated for a moment when she saw the chicken leg.

"Don't listen to his nonsense. You're not fat, eat more." Mom said, taking out another chicken leg and putting it in Lin Chuan's bowl. "You eat more too."

"Thank you, Mom, for not forgetting your son," Lin Chuan said with a smile.

The four of them enjoyed their Mid-Autumn Festival reunion dinner together, chatting and laughing as they ate. Mom even told Chen Xiyu some stories about Lin Chuan's childhood.

After all, they only met in elementary school, and Lin Chuan was quite mischievous even before that.

"He had just learned to walk when he ran off to explore town by himself. We all went looking for him, but we couldn't find him. When we got home, we found that he had come back on his own," Mom said with a smile.

"Oh, so you did something like this when you were little?" Chen Xiyu said with a smile.

"Ahem," Lin Chuan coughed lightly, "That only proves that I've been smart since I was a child."

"Then be naughty."

"You're too young, you don't understand."

"Hmph, I'm older than you."

Dinner lasted for almost an hour. After everyone had eaten and drunk their fill, Lin Chuan drove Chen Xiyu home as usual. But as soon as they stepped out of the house, Chen Xiyu said, "I want to go for a walk."

"walk?"

"Yeah, I want to get some fresh air."

"Aren't you afraid of getting fat?" Lin Chuan asked.

"No, that's not true!"

Lin Chuan smiled and said, "If you say it's not, then it's not."

The two of them went downstairs together and walked on the suburban streets. The streets were not very lively on Mid-Autumn Festival, since everyone was probably at home eating dinner at this time.

A cool night breeze blew through the streets, rustling the leaves. The two people walked aimlessly, chatting idly.

It wasn't until after 10 p.m. that the two returned to the residential area.

Lin Chuan didn't go straight back, but went to Chen Xiyu's house, skillfully opened the computer document, and looked at the draft that was already more than 100,000 words long.

I'm glad I was able to write so quickly, since I had written this story before; it was just a short story that I turned into a novel.

He opened the Qidian website, then skillfully created an author account, entered the author name and bio, and finally the main text, before clicking send.

The National Day holiday passed faster than Lin Chuan had expected, perhaps because his life was relatively monotonous and routine in the last few days.

It all happened so fast, almost like a gust of wind. In the last few days, besides updating his novel, he didn't forget to do his homework. I imagine the amount of homework at No. 1 Middle School in the city is quite substantial...
