A man trying to seduce the police captain: Captain Lu, you're doomed!

Chapter 2: The Contour of Muscles Beneath the Uniform

Her gaze was bold and intense, landing unabashedly on the man's lips.

Then it slowly moved down, past his Adam's apple, and rested on his broad chest.

She could clearly see the outline of the muscles beneath the uniform, and imagining the power hidden beneath, her blood began to boil.

I'm not interested in our relationship.

The man put down the skewers in his hand, picked up a bottle of mineral water and took a sip. His movements were clean and efficient, and the aloofness in his eyes was almost frozen.

"If you don't leave now, I won't be polite."

The threatening words, spoken by him, carried an undeniable deterrent force.

Anyone else would have been scared and left long ago, but who is Su Wan?

She is never the kind of person who gives up easily.

The more she was rejected, the stronger her competitive spirit became.

She suddenly laughed, her laughter clear and crisp, with a hint of slyness.

She extended her finger and gently tapped the man's hand on the table.

The moment my fingertips touched his cool skin, he gripped them tightly.

"I don't want to live anymore!"

The man's hand was very strong, so strong that Su Wan frowned slightly, yet it also carried a strange burning sensation that spread throughout her body through his fingertips.

His rough palms, calloused and rough, rubbed against her delicate skin, sending shivers down her spine.

"Officer, why are you hitting me so hard?"

Su Wan didn't struggle. Instead, she looked up at him with a hint of grievance and provocation in her eyes, her voice so soft it could melt your heart.

"I just wanted to be friends with you, why are you being so fierce? Or... are you actually just shy?"

The man's brows furrowed even more, a barely perceptible anger surging in his dark eyes, and he tightened his grip.

"Shy?" His voice was low and husky, with a hint of restrained stoicism.

"Yes, isn't that right?"

Su Wan tilted her head back, her chin slightly raised, like a proud little cat.

"If you want me to leave, you'll have to agree to have a drink with me, just one. After that, I'll leave and won't bother you again."

She bet he wouldn't actually lay a hand on a woman, and that his status as a police officer would make him hesitate.

But she forgot that some men's bottom lines are not to be easily crossed.

The man's gaze suddenly turned cold, an undisguised chill and disgust, as if he were looking at something filthy.

He suddenly released his grip, the force so great that Su Wan staggered back a step, almost falling.

"Have self-respect."

His voice was as cold as an ice blade in the dead of winter.

"I'll say it one last time: get out of here."

Su Wan was stung by the disgust in his eyes, and a strange sense of grievance and resentment welled up in her heart.

She had never been treated like this before in her entire life.

She's clearly not bad-looking, and she's never lacked suitors.

But the man in front of her treated her like trash, not even sparing her a second glance.

She bit her lip, a hint of stubbornness flashing in her eyes.

She wanted to say something more, but looking into the man's cold, icy eyes and the intense pressure emanating from him, she swallowed the words that were on the tip of her tongue.

At this moment, she truly realized that the man in front of her was not someone she could easily provoke.

His indifference was not a pretense, but a deep-seated alienation.

His rejection wasn't a ploy to get her; he genuinely had no interest in her.

The surrounding diners seemed to notice the commotion and cast curious glances their way.

Su Wan's cheeks flushed instantly, half from embarrassment and anger, and half from awkwardness.

She no longer cared about her desire to conquer; all she wanted was to escape this place that had made her lose face.

"Hmph, what's so great about it?"

Su Wan gritted her teeth, uttered a harsh remark, and turned to walk towards Lin Weiwei.

After taking a couple of steps, she couldn't help but look back again. The man had already picked up the skewers again, as if nothing had happened. His profile was cold and focused, still with that unapproachable look.

Back in her seat, Lin Weiwei was mostly awake.

Seeing Su Wan's flushed cheeks and pale face, he asked curiously, "What's wrong? Did you run into a wall?"

Su Wan picked up a beer can from the table and took a big gulp.

The alcohol made her cough a few times, and her eyes turned red.

"Don't even mention it."

She said it in an annoyed tone.

"That guy's a blockhead, a cold, hard blockhead at that! He's completely impervious to reason, neither gentle persuasion nor force!"

She said that, but in her mind, the image of the man in his police uniform kept replaying.

His cold gaze, his deep voice, and the burning force with which he gripped her wrist just now.

That dangerous yet alluring aura was like a thorn, deeply embedded in her heart, making her restless, yet she couldn't help but want to get closer.

Lin Weiwei laughed.

"I knew it! Not all handsome guys fall for your charm, especially police officers. They're on duty, so they're bound to have more principles than the average person. They won't just be hooked by a few flirty words from you."

Su Wan pursed her lips and didn't say anything.

She knew Lin Weiwei was right, but she just couldn't accept it.

Su Wan has never failed to get what she wants.

She remembered the man in the police uniform.

She looked up at that corner again; the man had finished his skewers and was getting up to leave.

His figure was tall and broad, casting a long shadow under the warm yellow light as he walked step by step toward the alley entrance.

Su Wan's gaze lingered on the tall, straight figure at the alley entrance until it completely disappeared into the dark night before she reluctantly looked away.

Lin Weiwei leaned over and nudged her shoulder with her elbow, her eyes full of mockery.

"What, haven't you had enough? Weren't you pretty defiant just now?"

"Who said that?"

Su Wan stubbornly turned her face away, picked up a skewer of grilled chicken wings, and took a big bite.

The sauce splattered on the corner of my lips, but the previous enthusiasm was gone.

"I just think this person is so clueless about romance, what a waste of such a pretty face."

Even so, her fingertips unconsciously rubbed the spot where the man had just gripped her.

The scorching heat seemed to linger on my skin.

The rough lines of her palms brushed against her delicate skin with an almost brutal force, yet strangely, they stirred a shiver in her heart.

She could even clearly recall the calluses on his palms.

Those were the marks left from years of handling guns or training, mixed with the unique smell of disinfectant from the uniform, creating a highly aggressive male hormone that made her irritable, yet also made her heart race.

Lin Weiwei saw through her insincerity and shook her head with a smile.

"Come on, you're practically glued to him. But seriously, that policeman had a really strong presence, he didn't look like someone to mess with. You'd better not mess with him in the future."

"I didn't!"

Su Wan retorted, but silently memorized the style of the epaulets on that police uniform—

Two bars and three stars, that's right, he's the captain of the criminal investigation team.

Su Wan had never had such an embarrassing experience of being approached by a man before.

No other man could be like him, ignoring her deliberate attempts to be nice and even showing such undisguised disgust.

But the more she saw that, the more that tall figure and those cold, dark eyes seemed like an invisible hook, tickling her heart.
