After listening to Caesar's remarks, Herschel smiled.

I knew I hadn't misjudged him; Caesar was an excellent leader.

"Okay, I'll go back and distribute all the pregnancy tests and other supplies I have so everyone can use them."

Hershel quickly took his leave and threw himself into his work without hesitation, adding some extra work for himself on his way back.

Rick also left the office.

Caesar shook his head: "Looks like we'll be gathering even more supplies these days: condoms, pregnancy tests, folic acid..."

As he spoke, Caesar wrote.

Caesar finished his work at lunchtime.

Back home, Amy had already prepared lunch and was waiting for Caesar.

"What delicious food did you make today?" Caesar asked as he walked towards the restaurant.

Amy came over and helped Caesar take off his coat. As she carried the clothes to the living room, she said, "I made sweet and sour pork ribs, stir-fried pork, and a stir-fried vegetable dish."

"It's that sweet and sour pork ribs. I didn't put in enough spices. I didn't have many star anise and other spices at home, and they're hard to find outside."

"But adding a little won't affect the taste."

Amy returned, her golden hair clipped up, giving her a more intellectual and gentle look.

Amy served Caesar rice first and handed it to him, saying, "You eat first."

"Okay." Caesar took it, ate a bite of rice, nodded in satisfaction, and gave Amy a praising look.

Amy smiled and raised her chin: "How is it? This rice is delicious, isn't it? It's Wuchang rice, specially imported from China."

"Moore's team found a lot of bags, and since the people in the town rarely eat rice, they specially delivered it to you."

Amy chattered on and on about the little things in life, but Caesar found it very comforting to listen to.

Every now and then, Amy would reply with a few words, and she would laugh heartily, even having a better appetite.

……

A few days later, Daryl rode his motorcycle into the Bison Pass.

Two heavy trucks were removed from Buffalo Pass, and many people are carrying reinforced concrete to build structures.

To build a structure similar to a dam connecting two mountain ranges, which would be about six meters high, would be extremely time-consuming and labor-intensive.

The people in charge of construction are the people in the production department, which is divided into planting, construction, and other departments, as well as medical, transportation, and other departments.

Outside the Buffalo Pass stood Moor's squad, each armed with a gun, with melee weapons tucked into their belts, and fierce-looking faces.

Every now and then, a passing zombie would appear, and one by one, itching to grab it, they would quickly chop it into several pieces.

Perhaps because they've been zombies for so long, they've become increasingly fragile, and even a hard kick could cause a zombie to break a bone.

Daryl drove against the wind, through the town, all the way to the council chamber.

The town changes almost every day, constantly being built and expanded. The roads in the town have also been paved with asphalt, becoming asphalt roads, and it looks more and more civilized.

This also made Daryl feel good, as if he was doing something for his friend.

Council chamber, Caesar's office.

"You found it?" Caesar took the map in surprise. It was covered with dense writing, all of which was Daryl's scribbles.

"Right here." Daryl plopped down on Caesar's desk without washing his hands and casually took something to eat from the fruit plate Caesar had prepared.

Daryl pointed to a spot where the words "Woodbury" were written, though they were difficult to decipher.

Caesar squinted, examined it carefully, let out a long breath, and said calmly, "Daryl, you need to go back to school and learn how to write."

Daryl paused, his chewing motion faltering. He looked at Caesar and said, "Go to hell."

Amid Caesar's laughter, Daryl quickly ran out of Caesar's office.

As I was leaving, I ran into Amy. "Daryl, why are you running so fast?"

Daryl gave Amy a disgruntled look: "Ask your lover."

After saying that, Daryl quickly left, leaving Amy with a bewildered expression.

Amy walked into Caesar's office and pointed outside: "What happened to Daryl?"

"It's nothing. I just told him I'd send him back to school to learn how to write, and he got so scared." Caesar shook his head and chuckled.

I never expected Daryl to be so afraid of school.

"You're eating so fast!" Amy saw the empty fruit plate and thought Caesar really liked the fruit today.

Caesar's gaze shifted from the map to the fruit platter. "I haven't eaten the fruit yet; Daryl has."

"Damn, that Daryl is really something." Amy was slightly annoyed.

Every time Daryl came, he would eat all the snacks and fruit in the office, which Caesar thought was fine, and she didn't have any objections.

Amy took the plate out to prepare new fruit.

The office fell silent. Caesar's gaze fell on "Woodbury," his eyes gleaming with contemplation, and he murmured:

"Philip, Philip, you don't know you can handle so many people, do you?"

"The water inside is too deep, I'll have to do it. You'd better step down."

"What kind of leader is this pervert pretending to be?"

The map also included information about some of the people at Woodbury.

Compared to what Caesar knew, there were far fewer people in Woodbury now; the walls had been built, but there were far fewer guards.

At night, Woodbury not only fell silent, but also forbade any light or open flame.

Caesar understood perfectly.

It's highly likely that Woodbury took advantage of the harsh living conditions during that winter to recruit many bewildered post-apocalyptic survivors.

I glanced at the personal list on the table; it listed two people: Carol and Andrea.

Unlike Amy, who pursued a clerical career, Andrea went all the way into the military, joining the combat training camp arranged by Caesar.

Every day, they practiced various combat techniques, relying on firearms, melee weapons, and even fighting unarmed with stones and other readily available objects.

This training camp has significantly improved combat abilities, and Andrea has focused all her attention on combat ever since she leaked the secret to Horus.

On several occasions when they left the valley for combat missions, she was always at the forefront, and Caesar believed in her potential.

Carroll, who also participated in the training camp, was not as strong or fast as her peers, but her stamina, skills and marksmanship far surpassed them.

Perhaps because she had been living in a domestic violence environment for many years, Carol's ability to fight back despite the pain was the strongest.

What pleased Caesar most was Carol's appearance; she was gentle and looked like a housewife, without the slightest hint of aggression.

It's safe to assume that anyone in Woodbury who sees Carole will think she's barely survived.

Compared to her initial sharpness when she first started learning combat, Carol now appears more shrewd and more lethal.

These two men were the gifts Caesar had prepared for Woodbury.
