The Walking Dead: Starting as a Cowboy
Chapter 125 Interrogation
Andrea ran the fastest, and when she arrived, her eyes lit up as she looked at Caesar. She couldn't help but say, "Caesar, you're amazing."
Having never heard Andrea praise him before, Caesar glanced at her with surprise. "Thank you."
"Strip them naked and throw them into the trunk."
Caesar gave the order to T-boy.
T-boy was quick and strong, and soon tore off the clothes of the two men and tied them up with rope.
Caesar didn't use the handcuffs from the police car. After all, they were two veteran policemen, and they might have the ability to unlock the handcuffs. It was more reassuring to tie them up securely.
Two burly men were thrown into the trunk, and T-zai deliberately positioned the naked men in a front-to-back position.
Andrea and Carol chuckled at the sight, while Caesar was speechless. "Let's go, let's get in the car."
After the four got into the car, they drove quickly back to where the team had split up.
The surrounding area is very quiet. It is an abandoned factory where plants break through the concrete and grow wildly. The walls are old and broken, and there are few good windows. It is a mix of vitality and desolation.
Caesar drove the police car inside and peeked out.
Several armored vehicles disappeared; it seems they went to hunt down the alerted enemy.
When Morales saw his boss return, he stepped forward, kindly opened the car door for Caesar, and stood respectfully behind him.
"How is it going?" Caesar asked.
Morales reported to his superior: "Most of the team members who were separated have not yet found the target vehicle, and a few who did find it let it escape because they were impatient."
"The armored vehicles have been deployed."
Morales then glanced at his watch. "The armored vehicle has no firepower restrictions; it's equipped with heavy machine guns and RPGs. We should be able to end the battle quickly."
"You are the only one who has completed this kind of mission that places extremely high demands on combat personnel, and you have completed it to a high standard."
Morales lowered his head and spoke flattering words with a blank expression.
Caesar's lips curled up slightly. "Oh dear, even you with your thick eyebrows and big eyes are starting to say flattering things."
That actually sounds quite nice.
T stared intently at Morales and the boss, his eyes wide as if he were learning something.
"T-boy, drag him out."
"Okay, boss."
T-zai struggled to open the trunk, only to find the two staring wide-eyed. They were lying in the trunk in an awkward position, their faces flushed.
"Good morning." T grinned and reached out his big hand to the two of them.
With two muffled thuds, the two men were thrown to the ground, and the surrounding combatants rushed forward to drag them away.
Armored vehicles returned one after another, and continued to drive out, so the mission was not going well.
Before all the squad members returned, Caesar ordered his men to go outside and bring in two zombies.
The two were tightly bound, barely able to move, and sat back to back on the dusty ground of the abandoned factory.
Caesar, T-boy, Morales and others were all watching the two of them.
"Boss, the walkers are back." A combat team member jogged up to Caesar and reported in a low voice.
Caesar nodded. "Just drag it over."
The two men's voices weren't quiet. The two already terrified policemen widened their eyes, made muffled sounds with their mouths gagged, and twisted their bodies uneasily.
Two armless zombies, their necks restrained by a hunting pole, were slowly pulled closer.
The police officer stared at the walking corpse with a look of extreme panic, and writhed away.
Caesar waved to Morales.
Morales stepped forward and ripped the gag out of the policeman's mouth.
"Sir, we don't know anyone here. What do you want?"
"Yeah, yeah, we've never seen it before."
The two argued back and forth, each talking at once.
Before they could say anything more, Morales stepped forward and kicked one of them hard in the back, using his own weight to press forward.
The man let out a scream, the intense pain in his back making him beg for mercy, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said anything, please let me go."
"I'll tell you anything you want to know; ask me anything."
The other man glared and shouted, "Jordan, you traitor! You just wait, I'll tell everyone when I get back..."
With a sharp crack, he delivered a kick directly to the man's mouth.
"Ugh... Ah—"
The man rolled on the ground a few times, face down, saliva mixed with blood and foam dripping down his face, and several broken teeth fell out.
The pain in his mouth prevented him from speaking for a moment; he could only groan and look at the culprit, T-boy.
T-boy had no intention of stopping. He strode closer to the man and began punching and kicking him with great force. In an instant, the man fainted.
Caesar turned his gaze to John. "So, John, can you tell me anything interesting?"
Caesar's lips curled up slightly, his tone relaxed and cheerful.
John glanced at Morales, who had released him, then at his companion's miserable state. His eyes darted around for a moment before he finally said, "Sir, we are from Grady Memorial Hospital."
"Our leader is called Dawn Lerner."
"..."
John quickly explained the personnel composition of Grady Memorial Hospital, which was largely consistent with what Caesar knew.
The leader is still Dawn, along with the original Dr. Steven, the ambitious second-in-command, and that perverted aggressor, Gorman.
Caesar straightened up and asked, "Have you killed anyone? How many? Why?"
When Caesar asked this question, his gaze was sharp as he looked directly at John.
John paused for a moment, as if he saw his former self in that instant—an upright junior police officer in Atlanta, not a high-ranking officer, but with a heart that hated evil.
The man who once shone with light, burning away the sin that now clung to John, unconsciously avoiding Caesar's gaze.
But to be honest, "We often abduct survivors from the Atlanta area, whether they are vagrants or powerful people, and knock them unconscious when they are alone."
"Take them back to camp, treat them, and then force them to work."
Caesar narrowed his eyes. "What job?"
John hunched over, head bowed low, his voice trembling slightly: "Cooking, cleaning, laundry, even... helping us bathe, taking care of... taking care of some physical needs!"
Andrea had a fiery temper and immediately rushed out, but Carol quickly caught her.
"Carol, let me go, I'm going to kill him."
Andrea was so angry that she used both her hands and feet, baring her teeth and claws, to try and grab the man.
Carol, being weaker than Andrea, was being dragged forward. "Stop messing around."
Caesar glanced at Andrea, his calm gaze stinging her and instantly pulling her back from her rage.
