The Walking Dead: Starting as a Cowboy
Chapter 150 Penny, I've come to see you
"Penny, I've come to see you."
As he spoke, the governor lifted the small burlap sack from the little girl's head.
Beneath the small sack was a little girl with a bluish-purple complexion, her pupils cloudy, staring intently at the governor's neck, her mouth opening and closing as if she wanted to tear the neck apart and enjoy the sweetness of blood and the softness of flesh.
Receiving no response from the little girl, the governor continued talking to himself.
"Are you hungry? I found you some different kind of meat today, I'm sure it'll suit your taste."
The governor, as if coaxing a child, mumbled incessantly while picking up a piece of bloody meat from the plate beside him.
The meat was held out to the little girl, whose eyes darted around before she quickly grabbed the piece of meat.
The meat was cut into appropriately sized pieces so that it could easily enter the little girl's mouth.
Seeing the little girl enjoying her meal, the governor chuckled and said, "Isn't it delicious? This meat is so fresh; I had a lot of trouble getting it."
"If you like to eat it, just tell Daddy, and Daddy will make it for you..."
"Oh, don't worry about Daddy. Daddy is very capable. He'll get it in no time. The other uncles definitely won't mind. It's their honor to be able to feed my little Penny."
"Maybe Auntie's will taste even better? Maybe we should try it next time..."
In the dimly lit room, the eerie sounds of chewing and the chilling mutterings made it impossible to tell which was more frightening.
A faint smell of blood slowly wafted out, seeping out along the cracks in the hidden door.
Andrea leaned against the doorway, her ear pressed against the hidden door, her eyes gleaming as she listened, muttering, "I knew there was a secret, I knew it."
"Just wait. Once I've figured everything out and announced it to all the residents, you'll be evicted from Woodbury."
Andrea felt a surge of joy at the thought of that scene.
After eavesdropping for a while and not hearing anything useful, Andrea tiptoed out of the office.
As the office door closed, the governor in the dark room raised his eyes, frowned, looked back, and listened carefully.
Is it just an illusion?
Smack smack~
The little girl was gnawing on raw meat, her mouth bloodshot, her eyes fixed on the large chunks of meat; she was incredibly cute.
The governor was also captivated by the little girl's adorable eating, and laughed as he teased his daughter, completely forgetting the subtle noises he had just heard.
Andrea left the governor's office and walked briskly down the sunny street, her face showing barely suppressed joy.
Anyone with eyes could see that Andrea was in a good mood.
"Andrea!"
A shout came, and Andrea's body instantly froze.
"Andrea?"
A young man with small, round-framed glasses walked up to Andrea and looked at her in surprise, as if she were frozen in place.
The young man was dressed in a very tech-savvy style, wearing a classic plaid shirt on top and jeans on the bottom.
Seeing that it was Milton, Andrea relaxed. When she was suddenly called, she felt guilty and thought she had been discovered.
"Milton, don't you have any other clothes? Why do you wear the same outfit every day?"
Milton pursed his lips, looked down, then looked up in confusion. "I wear something different every day."
"Ha~" Andrea scoffed. "Yeah, at most you'll just change the color of your plaid shirt. When are you going to change your semi-permanent style?"
"If you keep going like this, you'll never find a girlfriend."
Andrea, hands on her hips, spoke the painful truth.
Milton, somewhat embarrassed and angry, puffed out his chest and said, "I don't like any of the women in Woodbury."
Andrea's eyes lit up, remembering that Milton was one of her key targets. She took a small step forward and put her hand on Milton's shoulder.
She said with a seductive look in her eyes, "What if it were... other women?"
"Other... women?" Milton's face was full of doubt as his gaze moved down, landing squarely on Andrea's open, full breasts.
As if burned by a branding iron, Milton immediately averted his impolite gaze.
"Huh~" Andrea took two steps back, spreading her hands: "I wasn't talking about me!"
Milton's face turned as red as a monkey's bottom, and he began to ramble on.
"Uh... well, I just need to go to the governor. This music box looks a lot like a family portrait set..."
Andrea chuckled and patted Milton's cheek, teasing him like a child: "Alright, alright, have fun by yourself."
After giving Milton a perfunctory reply, Andrea quickly left the street and slipped into the shadows next to a building.
Andrea turned her head and glanced around, and only after realizing that no one was paying attention to her did she take a few deep breaths.
Milton, who remained where he was, frowned as he looked at the spot where Andrea had disappeared. "I haven't even said what I needed to say yet!"
"Oh well, never mind. I'll talk to her next time."
Startled, Andrea returned to her workstation and diligently completed her day's work.
In fact, there is much less work to do at Woodbury, because no one has to work; only a few bored people will find something to do to pass the time.
Since there's no need for labor and everyone receives the same things, naturally no one causes trouble.
Andrea's job as secretary was to help handle some of Woodbury's affairs and carry out all the tasks assigned by the governor.
The advantage was that when the governor was free, she could still see the situation in Woodbury through the documents; the disadvantage was that when the governor was carrying out any activities, almost everything fell on her shoulders.
Since Andreas became the secretary, the previous secretary has become the governor's bed partner.
After Andrea finished her work, she looked up and saw that the sky outside had become much more beautiful.
The sun, like a salted egg yolk, hung above, surrounded by ripples of sunset clouds, a deep, vibrant red.
"The sunset today is absolutely stunning."
Andrea's eyes became dreamy as she quietly admired the beautiful scenery of the sky.
Andrea didn't leave her workstation until it was completely dark.
There are many clouds tonight, and the moon is completely obscured. Without torches, it would be pitch black.
Andrea tossed her hair and glanced at the patrol team walking by.
Woodbury has a curfew at night. To prevent the nocturnal zombies from approaching Woodbury, every household in Woodbury must draw their curtains, reduce noise, and stay indoors.
Patrol teams will also be dispatched to conduct inspections.
However, it was just getting dark and curfew hadn't started yet, so Andrea didn't stand out as she walked down the street.
Walking to a small building behind Woodbury, Andrea glanced at the front door, then stepped over the small garden next to it and entered the house.
