The flowers and plants in the small garden are planted very well. They have been carefully cultivated and arranged, and you can tell at a glance that the owner has put a lot of care into them.

Andrea had just entered the small building through the gate from the small garden.

A cold voice came from the darkness: "Put your hands up."

By the dim light of the fire, a bright silver pistol was revealed, and then a woman walked out, holding the gun.

Illuminated by the firelight, Andrea paid no heed to the gun in the woman's hand and walked into the kitchen on her own.

He muttered to himself as he walked, "You have no idea how terrified I was today."

"I originally received some important news from the governor and wanted to share it with you, but I was startled by that silly boy Milton."

Stepping into the kitchen, you'll see a plate displaying a tempting, bright red pie, sprinkled with luscious fruit, its aroma filling the air and looking incredibly appealing.

Andrea glanced back at her, looking pitiful and innocent.

Carol nodded helplessly. "Eat up, eat up."

Carol holstered her gun as she listened to Andrea recount her harrowing day as an undercover agent.

Andrea seemed to be starving, as she ate most of the pie. She looked up with satisfaction and said, "The food here is still the best."

"Can't you learn to cook yourself?" Carol asked demurely, tidying up the mess Andrea had made of the countertop.

There was also a huge oven on the table, emitting a rich caramel aroma.

Those were cookies Carole had prepared for the party later.

"Are these the cookies?" Andrea crossed her arms and looked curiously at the oven.

Carol glanced back at the oven, a smile playing on her lips, but her eyes were as cold as ice.

"Yes, they'll enjoy their meal."

"By the way, you still haven't told me what news you found out today?"

Carol looked at Andrea, her hands still busy wiping the countertop with a rag.

Andrea glanced around, then, like a thief, leaned forward and brought her mouth close.

Carol lightly patted Andrea with annoyance: "If it were dangerous here, what you just said would have been enough for the governor to torture you to death hundreds of times over."

"Alright." Andrea straightened up reluctantly and said seriously, "I think I know something about the name Penny that I found out about before."

"How so?" Carol stopped what she was doing and looked up.

"Penny is supposed to be the governor's daughter, but for some reason, the governor has been keeping her locked in that small, dark room. He's a complete psychopath."

When Andrea spoke of the governor's imprisonment of her daughter, she gritted her teeth as if she were chewing on the governor's flesh.

"He's not even human. It's one thing to be cruel to outsiders, but he's no better to his own daughter."

"Caesar is right. The governor is an absolute beast, and all the residents have been bewitched by him."

Upon hearing this, Carole raised an eyebrow. She knew that the residents of Woodbury were only willing to play dumb.

Those who realize the truth and refuse to play dumb are probably already buried in the grave.

Carol didn't correct Andrea's thinking, but simply asked, "Are you sure Penny is his daughter?"

Andrea nodded. "I'm quite certain about that."

"Okay, I understand."

Carol nodded, her eyes unreadable.

"This Penny is yet another weapon we've used to undermine the governor's authority."

Don't you like to play dumb? When we throw the bloody reality in front of you and force you to choose between your family and the harsh reality, you'll understand that running away is useless.

And when the governor fully reveals his terrible and morbid thoughts, you will know how dangerous it is to stay by the side of a madman.

Carol's expression was cold, completely different from her usual demeanor when meeting people. She didn't care about the Woodbury people; she only cared about how much benefit eliminating Woodbury would bring to Yellowstone.

Everything, for Yellowstone.

After Andrea had eaten and drunk her fill, she took some of the food Carol had prepared before leaving Carol's small building.

Carole lit many candles and quietly made cookies.

Time is tight and the task is heavy, so we have to get it done quickly, otherwise it won't be finished before the party.

Just then, a strange sound rang out in the garden.

Another person has arrived?

Carol raised her eyes, casually wiped the flour off her hands, and walked towards the garden gate, leaning against the wall.

This commotion is completely different from the commotion caused by Andrea.

Although Andrea climbed in, her movements were so casual that it was clear she wasn't trying to hide anything.

But the person who came now, apart from making a slight sound when he climbed in, didn't make any further noise.

After wiping the flour off her hands, Carroll held a handkerchief in her hand, carefully reaching her right hand towards her waist, her eyes scanning the surroundings.

It cannot be ruled out that the other party entered the building through another door and launched a sneak attack on her.

As Carole walked to the garden gate, she quickly glanced outside.

There was no sign of anyone outside the door.

Some of the small traps she placed in the garden were not triggered. These traps were not equipped with any dangerous items such as steel needles; they were only there to alert Carol to the presence of someone.

Carroll frowned even more deeply.

The opponent is a master.

Just then, a whooshing sound came from behind.

Carroll was startled and ducked, trying to avoid the attack.

With swift and decisive movements, the dagger pierced the wall next to the garden gate.

Having already dodged, Carroll threw out his handkerchief and immediately raised his pistol, ready to fire.

The handkerchief was casually slapped aside, and a figure flashed by, quickly approaching Carol.

The figure covered Carroll's mouth with one hand and grabbed the hand holding the pistol with the other, lifting it upwards.

"It's me, don't shoot."

The familiar voice came, and Carroll paused for a moment with his other hand before thrusting it forward.

You lost.

Daryl glanced down; the sharp dagger was pointed directly at his abdomen. If he made an incision there, his intestines would probably spill out.

"Fine, you win." Daryl shrugged and turned to walk into the kitchen.

Carol put away her dagger and pistol, complaining, "Why are you all here today?"

"Who else but me?"

"Who else could it be? Andrea. Just like you, she came in looking for food."

Daryl paused in his actions, glanced at the pie in front of him, and then casually lay down on the sofa to enjoy it.

"Hey, be careful, don't get it on the sofa, it's a real hassle to clean up."

Daryl never heard Carroll's complaints.

"How's Sophia? Is she doing okay at school?"

Daryl, his mouth stuffed full, kept nodding.
