The Walking Dead: Starting as a Cowboy

Chapter 159 Action
After leaving the party, Andrea headed to Milton's small warehouse, wanting to have a chat with him.
In Woodbury, only the slow-witted Milton was on the best side of her.
But as soon as Andrea reached Milton's room, she stopped because she heard voices coming from inside.
That familiar voice—it was the Governor and Milton.
A flash of understanding crossed Andrea's eyes, then she casually glanced around.
This place is in a relatively remote part of Woodbury, near the factory buildings, and there were hardly any people around.
Andrea felt a sense of relief and slowed her pace as she approached the door to Milton's office.
With my ear pressed against the door, I could clearly hear the sound coming from inside.
"This party used up too much electricity, almost half of our stored power. We'll have to be more careful with our electricity usage from now on."
That was Milton's voice, and it sounded somewhat urgent.
Andrea knew that Milton had been trying to persuade the governor not to use so much electricity at the party, as it was unnecessary and wasteful.
However, the governor was not one to listen to his subordinates' advice.
Sure enough, the governor's voice came the next second.
"Heh, Milton, does that mean I can't even use the ice machine at a party? That's such a downer. You should go dance at the party and enjoy yourself. Don't think about it too much."
The governor politely declined Milton's proposal.
Andrea continued to listen, and the two argued for a few moments. The governor, who was always stubborn and self-willed, naturally did not accept Milton's suggestion.
What she said next cheered Andrea up.
"By the way, what were the results of your research on those two zombies?"
Milton's tone instantly became more enthusiastic, "That was simply a masterpiece, the effect was amazing, just by removing the walker's jaw and arms, it completely ended the walker's attack and feeding desires."
"This idea is brilliant; I'd like to talk to this person."
"No," the governor said firmly, refusing Milton's request. "This man is too aggressive; he'll hurt you. Just study those two walkers."
"Okay, but could that person be in cahoots with the group that extorted us before? After all, they escaped from a military settlement, so the military's research should be progressing much faster."
The governor pondered for a moment, "That's unlikely. If that were the case, they would have attacked long ago, not waited until now."
"Moreover, I recently sent Shumpert to look for any clues about them, but he found nothing. They are indeed elite and have a strong ability to conceal themselves."
"Why have you been contacting them?"
Andrea's heart skipped a beat, and she felt a surge of anxiety.
"What else can I do? Talk to them and ask them about their surroundings."
Andrea gradually calmed down. Although she knew the governor couldn't possibly defeat them, the presence of a poisonous snake lurking around still made her uneasy.
"Then smash their teeth and nails, so they'll know the price of blackmailing us."
"—Uh." Milton hesitated for a moment, unable to offer any words of advice.
"Don't worry, you won't see me torture them. Just stay here and do your experiments in peace." The governor patted Milton on the shoulder and smiled gently.
Hearing the governor's words, Andrea's heart sank, and she murmured, "Caesar is right, people like you deserve to be torn to pieces."
A series of footsteps approached.
Andrea's eyes flickered as she glanced around, then aimed behind a trash can and dashed off.
The movements were too large, making a few subtle noises.
The governor paused in his hand as he opened the door, but found nothing when he did.
He looked around suspiciously again, but found nothing.
"What's wrong?" Milton, standing behind the governor, asked in confusion.
The governor shook his head, took a case of beer from Milton, and said sincerely, "Really, Milton, go to the party and see."
"You won't find a girlfriend if you always stay in the lab."
The governor walked toward the party with a laugh.
Andrea, behind the trash can, peeked at the governor a few times through the gap before looking away.
Not long after the governor left, Andrea did not go to Milton, but turned around and returned to her residence.
Find a walkie-talkie in a hidden spot in the room.
When turned on, the walkie-talkie emitted a crackling electronic sound.
"Zzzzz—"
"Boss, boss, this is Andrea."
"Zzzzzzz—"
"Andrea, I'm the boss. Just say what you need to say."
"I overheard the Governor and Milton talking today, and I discovered they've imprisoned someone in Woodbury. I don't know the exact location, but I suspect it might be in the factory."
Andrea quickly reported the information she had just learned.
"Yes, I know where that person is. We found out a few days ago, but we didn't expect you to not know."
The voice on the other end of the phone startled Andrea, who hesitated before asking, "Carol—told you this?"
"Yes, tonight, you and Carol don't need to do anything. Just focus on behaving in accordance with your identities, and it would be best if there were eyewitnesses, understand?"
"————Okay, I understand."
The walkie-talkie was switched off. Andrea gritted her teeth and said resentfully, "You Carol, you didn't even tell me."
"But how did Carol find out?"
Andrea scratched her head, unable to understand.
Woodbury, outside.
Caesar put down the walkie-talkie and suddenly smiled.
"What's wrong?" Glenn asked Caesar curiously.
"It's nothing," Caesar shook his head. "I just didn't expect Carol to not share all the information with Andrea."
Glenn thought for a moment and smiled. "Maybe Carol is worried that Andrea will leak the information."
"That's true, after all, Andrea has done quite a few stupid things before." Caesar shrugged and stood up.
Caesar stepped out of the room and into the small living room on the second floor.
In the small living room, some standing, some sitting, some leaning against the window, some checking weapons, all the burly men in Yellowstone-style black armor looked at Caesar.
"Boss!"
Caesar nodded and looked at one of the spots. "Aji, come here."
Guillermo walked in through the window and was led into the room by Caesar's arm.
There were only four people in the room: Caesar, Guillermo, Glenn, and Maggie.
Glenn and Maggie are the captain and vice-captain of a squad, while Jimmy has been transferred from the squad to the cowboy squad.
Guillermo and his team had previously been responsible for Dr. Jenner's safety and rarely went out on missions.
Caesar, considering that Guillermo and his squad had a grudge against the governor and his gang, allowed Guillermo to participate in the operation.
