Chapter 165 Charge in and kill them all.
Unfortunately, their shouts went unanswered, as Glenn and the others had already left.
When the leader saw that Glenn and the others had not appeared, and the scene became deathly silent, his already arrogant expression became even more pronounced.
"These bastards ran so fast, I didn't get any credit for them," the leader said, feigning regret.
It was as if he could slaughter everyone indiscriminately in an instant if Glenn and the others stood in front of him.
His subordinates naturally fawned over him, offering a few flattering words with great tact.
Before the smug look could last long, a voice, calm yet tinged with anger, rang out.
"get off."
These words sounded like they were spat out through gritted teeth, clearly indicating that the speaker was extremely angry.
The leader could also hear the impatience and anger in the voice, but—
Who the hell are you?
I'm the squad leader of Woodbury. You dare talk to me like that? Believe me, I'll send you to the dungeon for a few days.
The leader's face showed anger, but when he turned around, he immediately said obsequiously, "Okay, I'll come down right away."
The speaker was naturally the governor, whose forehead was still bleeding. He wiped it away casually, and blood seeped into one of his eyes, turning half of his vision blood red.
The pain made his already unstable emotions even more irritable.
The leader kicked one of his men hard, cursing as he did so: "You sons of bitches, I told you to get down here."
"Hurry up, get it done quickly."
The men scrambled out of the car, heads bowed, afraid to look up, worried that their resentment would be seen through their leader.
The man in the lead got out of the car, bowed respectfully, and extended his hands, with the keys to the SUV between them.
"Sir, the key."
The governor didn't even glance at the leader, grabbed the keys, got into the car, and almost stepped on the gas.
The SUV roared and quickly disappeared from their sight.
The man in the lead looked in the direction the governor had left, his fawning expression turning into a faint hint of mockery.
He glanced at Shumpert in the arena.
Shumpert is dead, and Martinez has disappeared. Isn't this the perfect opportunity for me to take over?
Being the first to arrive and provide support demonstrates one's capabilities, doesn't it? The other teams are probably still leisurely getting dressed.
Before he could finish speaking, several off-road vehicles rushed towards them; those were members of other combat teams.
The governor rushed toward his office, his heart pounding.
An attack on the arena meant that the enemy had invaded Woodbury.
This also means that the enemy could potentially attack other parts of Woodbury.
He might also attack his own office, where his most precious possession, Penny, is located.
"No, no, no————"
The governor was driving, his hands trembling slightly as he gripped the steering wheel, worried that his fears might come true.
Woodbury, the Governor's Office.
Thud—
The manual slam slammed into the doorknob, smashing the office door open with devastating force.
The door slammed against the wall next to it with a loud bang.
Guillermo, gun at the ready, strode into the office, followed by his team members who filed in and quickly checked the room.
A few minutes later, several sounds were heard.
"Safety!"
"Safety!"
"Safety!"
Then, several combatants walked to the window, leaned against the wall, and set up their guns facing outside.
Guillermo walked to the window, where he could hear the gunfire from the arena and the screams of the crowd.
He grinned. "The operation has begun."
"Governor, enjoy this day while you can, because you won't be so lucky in the future." The hatred in Guillermo's eyes lessened considerably because of the pain the governor was about to suffer.
A voice came from behind, "Found the secret room!"
"They're here!"
Guillermo replied and turned to walk toward the open door to the darkroom.
The room was pitch black, but a faint blue light could be seen inside, though the color of the light made one feel uneasy.
The military flashlight was turned on, and its high-brightness beam illuminated the room, revealing a closed door and a blue fish tank against the wall.
Guillermo and his team cautiously entered and quickly took control of the interior.
The dark room was small, and you could see the end of it in a flash. There were no traps or anything of value.
"Safety."
Guillermo glanced at the small room next door; he knew what was inside.
Sure enough, the sound of chains being dragged rang out the next second.
A petite figure suddenly darted out of the room, a hissing sound emanating from beneath a burlap hood. The taut chains restricted its movement, forcing it to crane its neck.
Guillermo glanced at the petite figure's pale skin, a hint of pity in his eyes. "6"
Tie it up.
Several burly men stepped forward, easily bound the little zombie, and removed the chains from its body.
While they were busy, Guillermo's gaze fell on the wall of the fish tank.
The eerie blue neon lights, the murky fish tank water, and the crowded people all highlighted the governor's perversion.
Guillermo couldn't help but smirk. "Damn it, a governor like that should have been killed long ago."
The collapse of order, coupled with a survival crisis, can breed some extremely abnormal individuals, who, due to their lack of morality and fanaticism, often manage to survive quite well.
This means that the probability of encountering such a pervert will increase in the future.
Guillermo sighed.
"Aji, should we deal with these zombie heads?" a team member asked as he approached.
Guillermo shook his head. "No need. These things will only make things more chaotic here. Dealing with them will reduce the fun."
With that, Guillermo gave a cold laugh and ordered his team to start moving the fish tanks outside so that anyone who came could immediately and directly experience the governor's perversion.
The commotion outside the window grew louder and louder; many residents could be seen fleeing home, and there were also some gunshots.
Guillermo released his grip, and the blinds returned to normal. "The governor will be here soon."
People subconsciously focus their attention on things they care about, such as family, friends, and lovers; the thing they care about most is probably their children.
As long as there is any possibility of Penny having an accident, the governor will not fail to come.
Guillermo wholeheartedly agreed with Caesar's analysis.
"He's here. There are some people following behind him," the team member standing guard by the window said quickly and clearly.
Guillermo was energized; they had finally arrived.
"Open fire freely!"
The soldiers by the window fired at their pre-aimed targets.
Da da da—
A flash of light, and the bullet shot out, shattering the glass and penetrating the brain.
Screams came from the street.
The governor felt a chill run down his spine. Leaning against the outer wall, he looked up at the gun barrels spitting from the window and realized that Penny was already in their hands.
I can't let Penny get hurt anymore.
Absolutely not!
Having made up his mind, the governor roared, "Charge forward and kill them all!"
