The Cinnabar Mole of a Beijing Circle Tycoon

Chapter 81 They're so clumsy.

After a satisfying meal, Meng Jiangyu took her to the golf course.

He stood behind her, guiding her hand to grip the bar and get into position, his chest pressed against her back, his warm breath brushing against her ear: "Relax your body, lower your center of gravity."

Shen Qingyao tried swinging the club a few times, but she couldn't get the hang of it. She couldn't help but look down and said in a soft, coquettish voice, "Brother, I'm so clumsy, I just can't learn it."

Meng Jiangyu wrapped his arms loosely around her from behind, placing his palm over her hand that was gripping the golf club, his fingertips gently stroking the back of her hand, first helping her stabilize her wrist: "Don't rush, grip the club a little looser, like you're holding a cloud, too much force will make it float."

Shen Qingyao relaxed her fingertips as instructed, and the cue stick indeed became more agile in her hand.

She could clearly feel the warmth of Meng Jiangyu's chest seeping through the thin fabric of his clothes. The faint scent of cedar mixed with the fragrance of grass lingered around her nose, making her heart itch slightly.

"Feet shoulder-width apart, weight on the balls of your feet." Meng Jiangyu's voice was right next to her ear, his amusement brushing against her earlobe. "Yes, that's it. Keep your back straight, don't slouch."

"Why is it so difficult!" Shen Qingyao couldn't help but pout, but she still obediently straightened her back.

Meng Jiangyu released Shen Qingyao. She looked down at the white golf ball at her feet, took a deep breath, and slowly swung the club.

The clubhead grazed the turf, creating a gust of wind, but didn't even touch the edge of the ball.

"Oh dear." Shen Qingyao stomped her foot in annoyance, her cheeks slightly flushed.

Meng Jiangyu raised his hand and ruffled her hair, his tone full of indulgence: "It's always like this the first time, don't rush it."

He picked up a ball and rearranged it: "Try again. This time, keep your eyes on the ball, don't let your wrist wobble when you swing, just follow the momentum of your body."

Shen Qingyao nodded and readjusted her pose.

She stared intently at the white ball, her eyes unblinking, slowly raising her arm backward before suddenly swinging it out with tremendous force.

With a soft "thump," the club struck the ball precisely, sending the white ball flying in a beautiful arc before landing on the grass a short distance away.

"You hit it!" Shen Qingyao turned around in surprise, her eyes shining like they were filled with starlight.

Seeing her excited expression, Meng Jiangyu's eyebrows curved into a beautiful arc, and he laughed loudly, "Our Qingyao is so smart, she understands everything so quickly."

He walked over, put his arm around her waist, and pointed to the ball in the distance: "See that? That's the feeling. Now try hitting the ball even further."

Shen Qingyao felt sweet inside from the praise, took his arm, and shook it coquettishly: "Then teach me again, brother."

Meng Jiangyu pinched her cheek, his eyes full of doting affection: "Okay!"

He stood behind her again and guided her step by step to adjust the angle and force of her swing.

This time, Shen Qingyao's movements were much smoother, and the ball flew far and straight, landing steadily in the center of the fairway.

The wind carried the scent of grass, ruffling Shen Qingyao's hair and Meng Jiangyu's stray hairs that had fallen across his forehead.

He looked down at her serious profile, a gentle smile almost overflowing from his lips.

Shen Qingyao practiced for several more shots and gradually figured out the trick, occasionally managing to hit one or two beautiful shots.

She twirled excitedly, her skirt billowing in the wind in a beautiful arc.

Meng Jiangyu leaned against the golf club, smiling as he watched her, his gaze following her every step.

As the sun slowly sank in the west, it dyed the sky a gentle orange-red, and the afterglow shone on the two figures leaning against each other, gilding them with a warm golden edge.

The evening breeze, carrying the faint scent of grass, permeates every corner of the mountain and water manor.

Meng Jiangyu held Shen Qingyao's hand and walked slowly along the winding stone path. Their shadows were stretched long and thin by the setting sun, overlapping and swaying on the lush lawn.

My golf shoes, still covered in grass clippings from playing golf, made a soft, rustling sound as I stepped on the stone slabs.

Shen Qingyao's skirt fluttered in the wind as she looked up at the clouds on the horizon, gently twirling Meng Jiangyu's hand with her fingertips: "Look at that cloud, doesn't it look like a little dog?"

Meng Jiangyu followed her gaze and exclaimed, "Yes!"

He reached out and gently brushed her wind-blown hair aside, his fingertips brushing against her earlobe.

The two walked side by side, passing a flower trellis full of roses. Pink and white petals fell softly onto their shoulders. Shen Qingyao reached out and caught a petal, lowered her head to smell it, and her eyebrows curved into crescent moons.

The lake surface in the distance shimmered with golden light, and several egrets spread their wings and skimmed across the water, creating ripples.

Meng Jiangyu stopped and gently embraced her from behind, resting his chin on the top of her head.

Shen Qingyao leaned against him, listening to his steady heartbeat, the faint scent of cedar lingering around her nose.

As the sun gradually sank below the horizon, the orange-pink hue slowly faded into a gentle purple, and twilight gradually crept in.

Meng Jiangyu took her hand and walked back, the warmth of his palm soothing her fingertips. The sound of their footsteps mingled with the soft whisper of the evening breeze, drifting through the tranquil and long twilight.

As the car entered the city, night had already fallen, and the streetlights along the street lit up one after another, casting dappled shadows on the two people through the car windows.

Shen Qingyao leaned on Meng Jiangyu's shoulder, yawned slightly, and said in a soft voice, "I'm so tired today, but I'm so happy."

Meng Jiangyu turned his head and placed a light kiss on the top of her head: "Take a nap if you're tired. I'll wake you when we get home."

Shen Qingyao nodded obediently and snuggled closer to him. Soon, her even breathing could be heard.

The car came to a smooth stop in front of the apartment building, and Meng Jiangyu gently bent down and picked her up in his arms.

Shen Qingyao was fast asleep. She frowned and mumbled something, then snuggled closer to him.

Meng Jiangyu chuckled and shuffled even more lightly, afraid of disturbing her sweet dream.

Once inside the house, he first placed her on the bed in the bedroom, took off her shoes, and covered her with a light blanket.

He turned around, went to the bathroom to run a hot water tank, and returned to the bedroom, gently patting her cheek: "Qingyao, wake up, take a shower before you go to sleep."

Shen Qingyao opened her eyes groggily, her eyes still misty. She reached out and hooked her arm around Meng Jiangyu's neck, her voice hoarse from just waking up: "I want brother to carry me."

Meng Jiangyu couldn't bear to refuse, so he bent down, picked her up, and carried her into the steamy bathroom.

He adjusted the water temperature for her, took her pajamas and placed them aside, then turned to leave.

Shen Qingyao tugged at his sleeve, blinked at him, and said, "Stay with me."

Meng Jiangyu smiled helplessly yet indulgently, then turned and closed the door.

By the time the two finished washing up and lay back in bed, the night outside the window was already so dark it was impossible to see any darkness.

Shen Qingyao nestled in Meng Jiangyu's arms, listening to his steady heartbeat, and gently drew circles on his chest with her fingers.

"Brother," she suddenly looked up at him, her eyes sparkling in the dim light, "shall we go again next time?"

"Okay." Meng Jiangyu lowered his head and kissed the corner of her lips, his voice so gentle it could melt your heart. "Wherever you want to go, I'll go with you."

Shen Qingyao smiled contentedly, snuggled into his arms, and soon fell into a deep sleep again in his warm embrace.

Meng Jiangyu gently stroked her back, looking at her peaceful sleeping face, his eyes overflowing with tenderness.

Moonlight streamed in through the gaps in the curtains, falling on the intertwined shadows of the two people, creating a serene and lingering glow.
