Liu Yunshu looked at his outstretched hand, his fingers long and slender, his knuckles distinct, and the watch on his wrist gleaming subtly under the light.

She placed her hand in his palm and softly hummed in agreement.

Lu Yan led her into the dance floor, his arm naturally around her waist, and he guided her to sway to the rhythm.

Liu Yunshu's high heels clicked on the smooth floor, her skirt billowing gently with her dance steps, the dark green velvet shimmering with a warm glow under the lights.

Her cheek was pressed against his shirt, and she could clearly smell the reassuring scent of cedarwood, as well as the steady heartbeat in his chest.

"Ayan danced as well as ever!"

Lu Yan looked down at her, clearly understanding the meaning behind her words.

He tightened his arms around her, bringing her closer to him. "If I'm dancing with you, I naturally have to dance well."

Liu Yunshu raised an eyebrow upon hearing this. "You're quite the talker. Have you ever danced this with anyone before?"

"There's no one else." Lu Yan's tone became serious, and he gently pinched her waist with his fingertips. "From beginning to end, it's only you."

"Oh? So skilled..."

"Because it's you." He lowered his head, his nose brushing against the top of her head, his voice deep and clear, "Being with you, everything feels right."

The music gradually softened, and the two slowed their dance steps, simply embracing quietly and swaying gently under the warm yellow light.

The surrounding noise seemed to be shut out, leaving only each other's breathing and heartbeats, and the sweet scent in the air.

Sunlight streamed through the florist's glass windows, casting dappled shadows on the floor, while the air was filled with the mixed fragrance of roses and lilies.

Liu Yunshu was bending down to arrange the newly arrived sunflowers. Her fingertips brushed against the golden petals. She heard the wind chimes tinkling softly and looked up to see Zhou Mingyu standing at the door.

He was still wearing that white shirt and brown apron, holding a cup of coffee in his hand.

"Yun Shu." Zhou Mingyu pushed open the door, the wind chimes tinkling crisply. He handed her the coffee, the cup still warm to the touch. "Freshly brewed, with a little milk added."

Liu Yunshu straightened up, took the coffee, took a sip, and squinted her eyes in enjoyment. "Boss Zhou's special coffee..."

"The usual, is that to your liking?" Zhou Mingyu smiled, his gaze falling on the sunflowers she had tended so beautifully. "The sunflowers are blooming so well today, just like you."

Liu Yunshu twirled a petal between her fingertips, her eyebrows curving into a smile: "Thank you for the compliment."

"Where's President Lu? I haven't seen him for the past few days?"

Liu Yunshu used a spray bottle to sprinkle some water on the sunflowers. The water droplets fell on the petals, refracting into tiny glimmers of light.

She straightened up, her fingertips still damp and cool: "He went to a neighboring city to discuss a project and won't be back until tomorrow."

Zhou Mingyu followed her gaze to the sunflowers, a gentle smile playing on his lips: "It seems President Lu has taken good care of you; you look even better than the last time I saw you."

He paused, then picked up the watering can next to him and started watering the roses. "You guys... are you doing well?"

Liu Yunshu looked down at the sunflower's unfolding petals, the sunlight falling on her hair, warm and cozy.

She curved her lips into a smile, her tone brimming with barely concealed amusement: "Yes, it's fine."

These three simple words, however, are as sweet as honey, making even the fragrance of flowers in the air seem less intense.

Zhou Mingyu paused slightly, then smiled, a hint of melancholy hidden in the gentleness in his eyes: "That's good."

Zhou Mingyu, seemingly remembering something, said to Liu Yunshu, "Are you free today? I'll take you somewhere."

Liu Yunshu paused for a moment, glanced at the clock on the wall. The afternoon sun was shining brightly, and there weren't many customers in the shop at the moment.

She wiped the water droplets from her fingertips and asked with a smile, "Where is it? Did we have to make a special trip? By the way, is it just the two of us?"

A hint of sadness flashed in Zhou Mingyu's eyes, but he quickly smiled gently: "No, it's just that I have a few friends here. There's a small flower show in the suburbs today, and I thought you might like it."

Liu Yunshu's eyes lit up, her fingertips unconsciously tracing the inside of her coffee cup: "A flower show? Sounds good."

Liu Yunshu turned and walked towards the backyard, then turned back as if remembering something, "But I have to tell Ayan, so he won't worry if he can't contact me."

She took out her phone and texted Lu Yan, her fingers tapping lightly on the screen: "Went to the flower show in the suburbs with Boss Zhou and his friends, will be back later~"

The message was sent and received a reply almost instantly. 【Okay, drive carefully.】

Liu Yunshu raised an eyebrow as she looked at her phone. Was she being so easy to talk to this time?

"Let's go." She took off her floral-scented apron, folded it neatly, and placed it on the counter.

Zhou Mingyu had already parked his car in front of the store; it was an unassuming black sedan.

He opened the car door for her, and sunlight streamed through the window onto his white shirt, giving it a clean sheen.

"My friends are already waiting at the flower show. They said they've introduced several new varieties of Dutch roses with very unique colors," Zhou Mingyu said casually as he started the car.

Liu Yunshu gazed at the street scene passing by outside the window. The air in the suburbs gradually became fresher, and the trees along the roadside became more and more lush.

She casually asked, "When did you become interested in flower shows? Didn't everyone always say that these kinds of lively places are too crowded?"

Zhou Mingyu tightened his grip on the steering wheel and chuckled softly, "A friend mentioned the other day that there are a few newly cultivated varieties that are very suitable for floral design, and I thought you might like them."

Liu Yunshu nodded and turned to look at the scenery outside.

Flower show area.

Shen Yi nudged Lu Yan, who was holding his phone, and said, "Brother Lu, you're so magnanimous. You even asked your rival to bring his girlfriend over."

Gu Fei and Lin Chu were frantically popping balloons on the side. "Shen Yi! What are you chatting about! Come over here and pop some balloons!"

Lu Yan glanced at Shen Yi but ignored him.

Shen Yi shrugged unhappily and walked towards Gu Fei and Lin Chu. "Brother Lu already called the team, why are you doing it yourselves? Aren't you tired?"

Gu Fei tied the balloon string without looking up, his tone slightly teasing: "What do you know? This is called a sense of ceremony; it shows sincerity to set it up yourself."

He glanced at Lu Yan, who was directing workers to set up flower stands in the distance, and lowered his voice, "Besides, Brother Lu is making a big fuss about this; shouldn't we lend a hand?"

Lin Chu tossed a pink balloon into the air: "That's right. Brother Lu has been thinking about this proposal for almost a month. He even arranged for rare roses from the Netherlands to be flown in, just waiting for Miss Liu to arrive."

He winked at Shen Yi, "But how did Brother Lu manage to persuade Zhou Mingyu? Given Zhou Mingyu's feelings for Miss Liu, would he really be willing to be his accomplice?"

Shen Yi stroked his chin, a sly glint in his eyes: "You wouldn't know, would you? Brother Lu specifically asked Zhou Mingyu to have tea last week."

He lowered his voice and leaned closer to the two of them, "I heard that they laid everything out on the table, saying things like 'Yun Shu only has me in her heart' and 'I will treat her well for the rest of my life,' which completely shut down Zhou Mingyu's hopes."

He paused, recalling Lu Yan's determined look at the time, and couldn't help but laugh: "In the end, Brother Lu even said, 'Rather than watching her be happy with someone else, I'd rather personally send her to happiness.' Zhou Mingyu pondered for half the night and agreed to help the next day."

Gu Fei nearly dropped the balloon in his hand. "Wow, Brother Lu's eloquence is amazing; it's a shame he's not involved in negotiations."

Lin Chu had already strung the balloons together and tied them to the flower stand: "That's right, but Zhou Mingyu is a sensible person; he knows that forced relationships won't be happy."

As the three were talking, Lu Yan's voice came from afar: "Is everything ready?"

Shen Yi quickly replied, "Alright, alright, let's just wait for the female lead to appear!"

Lu Yan straightened his suit cuffs, his gaze falling on the entrance, his fingertips tightening slightly.

Sunlight filtered through the rose petals, casting dappled patterns on his face. The tension in his eyes was barely concealed, yet it also revealed a gentle determination to succeed.

Not long after, Zhou Mingyu's car slowly drove into the park.

He got out of the car first, and as he opened the car door for Liu Yunshu, he said softly, "Go in, they're all waiting for you inside."

As soon as Liu Yunshu stepped out of the car, she was stunned by the scene before her.
