The Witch's Wandering Alchemist's Diary
Chapter 2 I'll spit in your face
This dog-headed man was short, only about 1.5 meters tall.
If he encounters an ordinary soldier, he can only resort to sneak attacks and strike the soldier's knee.
Unfortunately, Lou Le was only about 1.5 meters tall.
This emboldened the dimwitted kobold to wield his club and roar at Lou Le, eager to tear open the throat of the little dwarf opposite him.
His sideburns were a mess, like tangled weeds, and a piece of iron was tied to his body with several ropes to serve as a breastplate; the thick hemp ropes cut deeply into his hair.
Its long mouthparts were dripping with foul-smelling saliva, and its teeth were yellow and filthy.
His dark brown eyes were fixed on Lou Le, and he gripped the big stick tightly with three fingers.
Lou Le stared at the kobold opposite her, her heart pounding.
She had seen this kobold countless times in various game novels, and her impression of such a creature was that it was just a lowly monstrous creature like a goblin.
But when I actually faced a kobold, I was still a little nervous.
A foul, fishy stench wafted from the kobold, and the wind nearly made Lou Le vomit.
She carefully used her canine tooth to cut open the corner of her mouth and held the blood in her mouth.
The pain made her frown instantly, and her hungry body trembled uncontrollably.
"roar!!"
The dirty little dwarf seized the opportunity; he lowered his body, and his bent legs propelled him to incredible speed.
Almost in the blink of an eye, it rushed in front of Lou Le, carrying a foul stench, and smashed the wooden stick with bone spikes down on Lou Le.
"Pooh!"
Lou Le spat a mouthful of blood at the short man opposite him and rolled on the spot.
"hiss--"
The ground was covered with pebbles and branches, causing Lou Le unbearable pain, as if he had rolled over a bed of nails.
It made her vision go black, and she couldn't help but swallow hard.
The sweet, metallic taste of blood made her stomach feel hot.
She didn't have time to worry about those things; she hurriedly opened her eyes and looked at the "enemy."
The dog-headed face was covered with purple crystal clusters, which, like barnacles on a whale's back, continuously corroded the dog-headed man's flesh.
"Woof—Woof!"
A pitiful bark kept escaping from its throat, and the dog-headed man kept digging at the crystal clusters on its face with its three toes, while the large club with broken bone nails was left aside.
Lou Le took a few steps back, sucking on the wound at the corner of his mouth, trying to squeeze out more blood and spit it out at the dog-headed man.
The kobold seemed to sense her movement, barking in terror as it hurriedly fled in the other direction.
"Is there a kobold lair nearby? Is he heading towards his lair?"
The thought popped into Lou Le's mind, and she hurriedly stood up: "No, I have to leave as soon as possible."
"Even if my blood is poisonous, I can't spray it like a water gun, spraying out multiple substances at once."
The intense pain from rolling over caused her to involuntarily swallow.
The blood made her stomach feel hot, as if some strange change was taking place.
But Lou Le didn't care about anything else at all. She hurriedly went to the side of the corpse and prepared to quickly search for anything that could be used.
The most important thing is to find a map.
Having already seen kobolds, it's not surprising that this corpse is an adventurer.
If I can just find the map on him, I'll be completely safe.
The corpse's head was completely smashed, and the leather armor had been ripped off by the kobolds and thrown aside.
This saved Lou Le most of his time. He peeled back the inner layer of hemp clothing from the corpse and found a small diary on the chest.
He also had a square shoulder bag slung around his waist, which was bulging with some things inside.
Lou Le took off the satchel and carried it on his back, then tore off his black cloak and wrapped it around himself.
All of this only took a few minutes to complete.
If it weren't for the fear that the kobold would attract other kobold companions, Lou Le would have definitely pulled off the corpse's shoes.
However, the adventurer's shoes were tied too tightly, and special fastening measures were taken.
It was designed to prevent the risk of death due to instability in the lower body caused by shoes during escape, pursuit, or combat.
She quickly ran eastward while frantically searching through her bag.
Two bandages, a large bag of herbal paste, a flint, several empty bottles, and three or four long objects that looked like kobold canine teeth.
Most importantly, a roll of parchment!
"Map, map!"
Lou Le opened the parchment and exclaimed in surprise, "It really is a map!"
The map contained otherworldly writing, but Lou Le was inexplicably able to understand it.
In the upper left corner of the map is a small town called Ghostwood Town, while the rest of the map is covered with a vast forest called Ghostwood Forest.
Lou Le quickly scanned the landmarks in the forest, and after finding a black mountain range landmark, he followed the location of the thick smoke.
She quickly located her approximate position on her map.
Gritting his teeth, he grabbed his bag and started running in the direction of the map.
The warmth in her stomach gave her energy; Lou Le had no idea why drinking her own blood would fill her weak body with strength.
But in order to escape the forest, she had no choice but to put her fingers in her mouth and use her sharp fangs to cut her skin and suck her own blood.
They maintain their physical strength through this act of self-devouring.
She noticed that the trees around her were becoming sparser and the bushes were becoming fewer. From a time when it was difficult to move around, she could now run freely without any obstacles.
She even saw some charred traces of campfire, which eased her tension.
Lou Le finally felt relieved when he stepped onto the muddy path.
"Finally, we're safe."
She looked at the markings on the map; these muddy paths only appeared on the outskirts of the Darkwood Forest, and once she saw a path, she was basically safe.
Breathing heavily, she slowly regulated her breathing and walked out along the path.
She stepped into the mud without hesitation and walked for about twenty minutes.
Lou Le finally emerged from the forest, where the sounds of birds were deafening and the leaves rustled softly.
The sunlight fell on Lou Le's shoulders, making her feel a sense of warmth and security.
In the distance, vast expanses of lush green wheat fields sway in the wind, with countless people wearing headscarves and dressed like medieval people bending over to work in the fields.
Further away was a small town, but the houses there were low and somewhat disappointing.
Only a wisp of smoke behind the town appeared to be higher.
Lou Le clenched her fist and exhaled.
"Perhaps, I will have to live in this world from now on."
Lou Le thought to herself, but a smile involuntarily appeared on her face.
She earnestly said to the distant town, "I have arrived in this world."
