Tiger, I rejected the iron rice bowl.

Chapter 141 Going down the mountain

"Okay! I'll arrange it right away!" Ji Yongjun's voice instantly turned serious. "Take the 'iron rice bowl' back to the zoo as soon as possible. Be careful on the way and don't let him do any strenuous activity to avoid further injury."

"I understand, Uncle Ji, don't worry."

Tang Li nodded, then caught a glimpse of Wang Yuyu looking up at her with a puzzled expression. She quickly said, "I'll talk to you later, I'll get him down the mountain as soon as possible."

After hanging up the phone, she gave Wang Yuyu a gentle smile: "Just focus on your meal, why are you looking at me?"

"I'm arranging a car for you. After you finish eating, we'll go down the mountain and back to the zoo."

"Aww!" Wang Yu let out a low growl, as if in agreement. He immediately lowered his head, took a bite of the fresh meat, and began to gnaw on it, his mouth full of oil.

Tang Li put away her phone, took out a tissue from her backpack, squatted down next to Wang Yuyu, and gently wiped away the dirt and snow stains from his hair.

As she wiped her abdomen and limbs, she suddenly felt several small scratches. Parting the hair, she saw that they were shallow wounds with some mud on them, obviously from when she fell into the pit.

Her heart clenched, a deep ache gripping her. She gently stroked the edge of the wound, her movements becoming increasingly tender.

But looking at Wang Yuyu, he still seemed completely oblivious, focused only on eating, enjoying his meal immensely.

Tang Li was both angry and amused, and gently tapped his head: "What a careless guy. He has so many wounds on his body, yet he doesn't feel anything at all, and he's still eating so heartily."

After a while, they finally managed to clean the mud off Wang Yuyu's body. The tiger's fur, which was originally filthy, gradually revealed its original orange and black stripes. Although it wasn't exactly clean, it looked much fresher.

Tang Li nodded in satisfaction and teased with a smile, "That's more like it. Our secure jobs are so prestigious and cool, how can we let them look so disheveled?"

"If those tigresses in the park saw this, they'd be frantically circling around you, going crazy with excitement."

Wang Yuyu had just finished the last bite of meat, then licked the remaining water from the bowl, looked up at his own fur, and wagged his tail smugly, thinking to himself, "Not bad, not bad, you've done a pretty good job as my human servant. I'm very satisfied!"

Tang Li noticed the smugness and "malice" in his eyes, reached out and gently pinched his tiger head, raised an eyebrow and asked, "Have you eaten and drunk your fill? If you're done, let's hurry down the mountain, don't waste time here."

"Roar!" Wang Yu roared at Tang Li, deliberately baring his teeth, his tone filled with displeasure: "Stop patting my head! Are you going to take responsibility if you make me stupid?"

"You dare to talk back to me like that?" Tang Li raised her hand as if to hit him, glaring at him angrily. "Try talking back like that again!"

Wang Yu immediately backed down, turning her head away from Tang Li and muttering, "Hmph! I won't stoop to the level of a little woman like you!"

"Hmph!" Tang Li snorted lightly, no longer bothering with him, and turned around to pick up the plastic film and empty bowls on the ground, putting them into her backpack one by one.

After getting everything ready, she took a vest and a sturdy leash from her backpack, walked over to Wang Yuyu, and said, "Come here, let me put this on for you, we're going down the mountain!"

After securing Wang Yuyu, Tang Li straightened up, waved to Fan Zhengcheng and Wang Jianjun who were watching from the distant woods, and called out in a loud voice, "Captain Fan, Uncle Wang, everything's ready, we can go down the mountain now!"

"Okay!" Fan Zhengcheng immediately responded loudly.

Tang Li pointed to the large pit behind her and called out to Wang Jianjun, "Uncle Wang, the positioning ball for the research base is still at the bottom of the pit. Could you please go down and retrieve it? We can't lose that thing!"

"I understand, I'll go down and get it!" Wang Jianjun waved his hand and replied.

The two walked quickly closer and stopped about six or seven meters away from the man and the tiger.

Fan Zhengcheng glanced around at the surrounding woods and called out loudly, "Attention everyone! The tiger is coming down the mountain. Everyone stay away, don't block the way, and don't make any noise!"

After saying that, he took the lead and slowed down his pace to walk down the mountain.

Seeing Fan Zhengcheng walk away, Tang Li looked at Wang Yuyu beside her and whispered, "Let's go, let's catch up quickly!"

Seeing this, Wang Yu immediately took a step to chase after Fan Zhengcheng, but as soon as she exerted force with her right hind leg, a soreness came from her, and her movements became sluggish. She could only slow down and follow along with a limp, and her originally upright posture became a bit more disheveled.

Tang Li immediately noticed his discomfort and shouted loudly to Fan Zhengcheng ahead, "Captain Fan, slow down! Your iron rice bowl (a metaphor for a secure job) is injured and can't keep up!"

"Alright!" Fan Zhengcheng glanced back, slowed his pace considerably, and kept glancing back to check the movements behind him.

After Tang Li led Wang Yuyu away, Wang Jianjun rushed to the edge of the pit and climbed down steadily onto the wooden raft that had been set up earlier.

He quickly found the positioning ball, wiped the dirt off it and put it in his pocket. He climbed up the raft, slung his backpack over his shoulder, and hurried after Tang Li and the others.

Not long after the three men and the tiger left, villagers and police officers who had been hiding in the surrounding woods came out one after another.

Everyone had a clear division of labor; some started dismantling the fence around the pit and throwing the wood into it.

Some collect the snow on the ground and fill the pit little by little to prevent other animals from accidentally falling in.

When the temperature warms up next spring and the snow melts, the pit will slowly fill into a small puddle, becoming a good place for animals in the mountains to drink water, which can be considered turning waste into treasure.

On the other side, Tang Li led Wang Yuyu down the mountain. Watching him walk slowly, his usual agility gone, his right hind leg occasionally lifting slightly, his clumsy yet determined appearance made her want to cover her mouth and chuckle.

Wang Yuyu keenly heard the laughter, immediately turned to glare at her, bared his sharp fangs, and growled, "What the hell are you laughing at! Can't you see I'm injured?"

"Stop laughing! Laugh again and I'll bite you!"

He grew angrier the more he thought about it, swishing his tail irritably and sending snowflakes flying everywhere: "Damn it, if I find out who dug this lousy hole, I'll dig up their ancestral graves!"

Seeing that he was really angry, Tang Li quickly stopped laughing, her cheeks still puffed out, and forced herself to suppress her laughter as she soothed him: "Okay, okay, I won't laugh anymore, I won't laugh anymore."

"Don't be angry, it's bad for your health."

"Once we get back to the zoo, we'll have the specialists treat you properly, and I guarantee you'll be able to run and jump around in the mountains again very soon."

Wang Yu looked up down the mountain, the outline of the small village in the distance becoming clearer. A hint of suspicion flashed in his eyes, and he growled at Tang Li repeatedly, "Tang Li, tell me the truth, was it done by people from this village? Otherwise, how could you have found me so quickly?"
