Tiger, I rejected the iron rice bowl.

Chapter 221: Changing Faces Faster Than Turning the Page

In the blink of an eye, only Wang Weiguo, Wang Jianjun, and a few security guards remained. Even Fan Zhengcheng quietly left with his men.

Wang Weiguo turned his head and happened to see Wang Jianjun, the security captain beside him, secretly shrinking back, looking like he was about to run away at any moment.

He was instantly enraged, raised his foot and kicked Wang Jianjun in the back leg, cursing, "You little brat, why are you running away?"

"If someone with a secure job were to actually cause trouble, wouldn't you be the one to lead the charge? If you run away, who will take your place?"

Wang Jianjun was kicked and stumbled, quickly regaining his balance. He scratched his head and awkwardly chuckled, "Hehe, Director, isn't it because you and Xiao Tang are here?"

"I figured with the two of you here, I wouldn't be needed. You could just say a few words and you'd secure his job. He listens to Xiao Tang the most!"

Wang Weiguo glared at him fiercely and said sternly, "Stop talking nonsense! Stay here obediently, keep an eye on your secure job, and don't leave for a moment. Don't let him take the opportunity to escape. If anything goes wrong, I'll hold you responsible!"

"Yes, yes! Director, I will keep a close eye on things and never leave!" Wang Jianjun quickly straightened up and responded weakly.

His eyes involuntarily glanced at the sharp tiger eyes peeking through the crack in the door. The moment they met, he was so frightened that he quickly looked away, his whole body stiffening, and he didn't even know where to put his hands.

Wang Weiguo ignored Wang Jianjun, turned around and strode to the doctor's side, his brow furrowed, and asked with concern, "How is Xiao Tang? Is there anything seriously wrong?"

As the doctor packed up his examination instruments, he gently shook his head and said calmly, "It's nothing serious, don't worry, it's just a mild concussion!"

"Go back and rest for a few days, avoid overexertion, and you will recover gradually."

"A mild concussion?!" Wang Weiguo was taken aback, a look of surprise on his face. He then turned to look at Tang Li, who was sitting on the bench, and asked in confusion:

"Xiao Tang, what exactly did you do with that 'iron rice bowl' guy? How did you end up with a mild concussion? Could he really hurt you?"

Tang Li's cheeks flushed slightly, and she smiled awkwardly, explaining, "I didn't do anything, I just teased him on purpose and made him angry."

"He lost control for a moment and lightly hit me on the head with the tiger's head. I didn't expect it to cause such a serious injury."

She spoke casually, as if afraid that Wang Weiguo would blame Wang Yuyu.

"Oh, I see!"

Wang Weiguo immediately noticed Tang Li's embarrassment and didn't press her for details.

Recalling what everyone had seen through the window, he gestured to indicate the scene and asked curiously, "Xiao Tang, when we were looking out the window, we saw you and Tie Fanwan lying like this inside. What were you doing?"

"Huh?!" Tang Li looked at Wang Weiguo with a puzzled expression, blinked, and said blankly, "We didn't do anything!"

"I was feeling really dizzy at the time, so I lay down in his arms and leaned on him to relieve the dizziness!"

"His body was furry and warm, and it was very comfortable to lean against, so I just found the most comfortable position to lie down in."

Wang Weiguo's lips twitched, a hint of helplessness on his face: "Xiao Tang, you absolutely must never do that again. You have no idea how terrifying that scene was from the outside!"

"We looked out the window and saw you lying motionless on the ground, with your job security guard lying next to you, holding your head and bowing your head."

"We all thought you were dead from his bite; he was gnawing on your head!"

"That's why we rushed in to break down the door and save you."

"Huh?! Is that really how it is?"

Tang Li's eyes widened in shock, her voice filled with disbelief, "Director, does it really look that scary from the outside?"

"I felt quite comfortable at the time, and I didn't see anything wrong with it!"

Wang Weiguo nodded heavily and said helplessly, "That's right! Otherwise, why do you think we're in such a hurry?"

"Alright, alright, it's not your fault. It was all a misunderstanding. Just don't do it again to avoid causing any more unnecessary trouble."

As he spoke, his gaze inadvertently swept behind the door, meeting Wang Yuyu's still fierce eyes. He quickly said, "Since you have nothing else to do, hurry back inside and keep an eye on your secure job."

"I will have everyone repair the power grid, and then I will return the job to him to prevent any further accidents."

"Okay, thank you, Principal!"

Tang Li nodded, then turned to look towards the door, where she met Wang Yuyu's gaze.

Wang Yuyu, who had been looking fierce, softened his gaze the moment he saw Tang Li looking over. The corners of his mouth unconsciously turned up slightly, and most of his ferocity dissipated. He even let out a soft "woo" at her, as if urging her to come back quickly.

Tang Li couldn't help but smile at his docile appearance, and waved gently at him, indicating that she would be going back right away.

But when Wang Weiguo turned to look, he was greeted by that same sharp, fierce, and murderous gaze, with a wide grin on his lips, as if warning him "don't come any closer."

Wang Weiguo rolled his eyes, speechless, and muttered, "What is all this nonsense?!"

"His mood changes faster than turning the pages of a book. He's only so docile with Tang; he's incredibly fierce with us. What a snob!"

Soon after, the doctor finished explaining the precautions to Tang Li.

Tang Li got up, rubbed her head, and walked towards the dormitory with slightly unsteady steps.

Wang Weiguo didn't linger. He gave Tang Li a few more instructions and then left with the others.

As soon as Tang Li opened the door, Wang Yuyu immediately came to greet her, hugged her waist, gently rubbed his head against her, and made soft, whimpering sounds.

"Okay, okay, stop rubbing against me!" Tang Li reached out and hugged his tiger head, her body swaying slightly, and a faint dizziness started to rise again.

She slowly bent down and gently placed Wang Yuyu on the ground, her tone full of doting helplessness, "Hurry up and get down, I can hardly hold you anymore, you big fat tiger!"

Wang Yu noticed Tang Li's weakness and stopped lingering. He obediently got out of her arms, gently nibbled on her sleeve, and then slowly dragged her towards the bed.

"What are you doing? It's a secure job!" Tang Li was dragged forward slowly by him, her steps a little unsteady. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed the door was still open, and a cold wind was blowing in. She quickly shouted, "The door! The door isn't closed yet!"

Wang Yuyu remained silent, tilting his head and gently tugging at her sleeve as he led her to the bedside, seemingly oblivious to her words. He had only one thought in his mind: let her rest in bed first; nothing else mattered.
