Tiger, I rejected the iron rice bowl.

He walked slowly through the dense forest, his amber eyes scanning his surroundings warily, his gaze sweeping over every blade of grass and every tree trunk, afraid of missing any unusual trace.

After walking a certain distance, he would leave his scent mark on tree trunks and rocks. The smell of his urine was strong and domineering, both a declaration of sovereignty and a test of the unfamiliar surroundings.

At the same time, his nose twitched incessantly as he carefully discerned every scent floating in the air, unwilling to overlook any clue.

Before long, he arrived at a crooked tree on the ridge. The tree was strong and twisted, with branches lying horizontally. It was a landmark of this ridge.

As soon as she approached the tree, an unfamiliar scent filled her nostrils. Wang Yuyu stopped abruptly, her eyes narrowing as she sniffed the air.

"A tiger came by; the smell is very fresh. It'll only last half a day at most!"

He bent down again, bringing his nose close to the tree trunk, carefully discerning the information in the scent, and quickly made a judgment: "It's a tigress, very young, with a tender breath. She must be a little one who has just left her mother and come out on her own to find territory."

He glanced towards the direction of the wolf pack's territory, his eyes gleaming, and wondered to himself, "Could it be that this young tigress defeated the wolves and took over the territory that the black bear once occupied?"

But he immediately dismissed the thought as soon as it came to mind. "That shouldn't be the case. The wolf pack is not weak and has a considerable size. A tigress that has just left its mother and is all alone should not be able to do that."

Undeterred, he carefully sniffed around the tree and its surroundings again.

Soon, amidst the scent of the tigress, another faint tiger scent was detected.

Wang Yuyu's eyes lit up, and she muttered to herself, "There's one more!"

"These two scents are very close together and have similar aromas, so they must have been born to the same tiger mother and left together to search for territory."

After figuring out the situation, Wang Yu grinned, a hint of interest flashing in his amber eyes. "It's been a long time since I've seen any young juniors in these mountains. I'll go take a look and see what this little guy is capable of."

He followed the scent and discovered that the tracks of the two tigers were extending in completely opposite directions.

The tigress clearly smelled the scent mark he had left behind, so she didn't go any further. Instead, she urinated on the crooked tree, leaving her own scent mark.

This is a declaration that this place is now occupied; she has taken over this area, and it's also a way of telling Wang Yuyu that she has arrived.

The tigress's brother, however, did not stop and continued deeper into Wang Yuyu's territory.

Wang Yu knew in her heart that this was the end of the bond between the brother and sister.

The older brother will continue his journey, embarking on a solitary wandering to find his own territory in the distant mountains and forests, far away from his mother!

For the rest of their lives, they may never have the chance to meet again.

"Forget it, he's just a brat. I doubt he'd dare linger on my turf. Let him go."

Wang Yu flicked his tail, his tone carrying a hint of arrogance like a mountain lord, before changing the subject, "Let's go see that tigress and see just how capable she is to dare to settle near my territory."

Having made up his mind, he immediately turned around, abandoning his continued patrol of the territory. Following the fresh scent left by the tigress in the air, he slowly followed her, his steps light and his eyes full of anticipation.

Meanwhile, the young tigress was having a tough time.

Without her brother's company and protection, she was all alone and unable to completely intimidate the wolves that coveted this territory.

The wolf king had long realized that only one of the two tigers remained, and he had been itching to reclaim the territory.

However, they were unsure whether the male tiger had really left, fearing it might be a trap, so they kept sending wolves to probe, not daring to launch an attack rashly.

"Awoo!"

Several wolf howls suddenly rang out, sharp and arrogant. Several agile wolves swaggered into the tigress's territory, howling incessantly as they walked, deliberately provoking and testing the tigress's limits.

The tigress quickly heard the wolf howls, instantly tensed up, and immediately roared loudly in the direction the wolves had appeared: "Roar!"

His voice carried a hint of assertiveness, yet also concealed a subtle tension, as he tried to intimidate the provocative wolves with his imposing presence.

In the distance, the wolf king, trailing far behind the lead wolf, heard the tigress's response. A flicker of hesitation crossed his eyes, then he raised his head and let out a long, drawn-out howl: "Awoo!"

This was an order to retreat, but it still dared not take the risk and decided to observe for a while longer, making sure the male tiger had completely left before taking action.

Upon receiving the wolf king's order, the few provocative lead wolves dared not linger any longer. They immediately turned around and quickly retreated from the tigress's territory, disappearing into the dense jungle in the blink of an eye.

Half an hour after the wolves left, the tigress cautiously approached the spot where the wolves had been.

She first let out an angry growl in the direction the wolves had left, venting her tension and dissatisfaction.

She then marked her territory by urinating on the surrounding tree trunks and rocks, using her scent to solemnly warn the wolves not to easily invade her territory again.

Two mountain peaks behind the tigress, Wang Yuyu was standing on the ridge and clearly heard the defiant roar of the tiger.

His eyes lit up, and he immediately quickened his pace, thinking to himself, "It's just ahead, not far!"

"Just a little more effort, and we'll catch up with this little guy soon!"

After walking for several more hours, as the sun gradually set, Wang Yuyu finally caught up with the tigress.

From afar, he saw a slender tiger figure slowly walking through the forest, occasionally stopping to sniff the surroundings and observe the activity around it.

"He's quite serious for his newfound talent, but his vigilance is too poor; he doesn't even realize there's a tiger behind him."

Looking at the tigress's clumsy yet earnest demeanor, Wang Yu grinned, his eyes full of doting affection and teasing.

He recalled that when he first established his territory, he, like this tigress, slowly walked through the forest, gradually familiarizing himself with the terrain, carefully marking his territory, afraid of encountering danger.

However, even then, he was already much larger than an ordinary tiger, and his imposing presence meant that few predators dared to provoke him.

So his life was relatively easy back then. His only problem was that his hunting skills weren't good enough, and he often went hungry.
