Niu Zhihua watched Wang Yuyu stomping his feet and growling in the distance, then quietly approached Tang Li and whispered, "Little Tang, isn't this tiger acting a bit strange? What's wrong with a tiger acting like this?"

Tang Li couldn't help but chuckle, then lowered her voice and replied, "Uncle Niu, ignore him. 'Iron Rice Bowl' is just cursing; he's angry at the poachers!"

"Keep your voice down, don't let him hear you, or he might take his anger out on you!"

"Oh, oh, oh!" Niu Zhihua nodded hurriedly, but his eyes couldn't help but sneak curious glances at Wang Yuyu, thinking to himself: These days, even tigers get angry and curse? I've really learned something new.

The two dared not be careless, and with metal detectors in hand, they carefully searched around Wang Yuyu from both sides.

Halfway through the investigation, Niu Zhihua suddenly stopped and gently brushed away a patch of snow.

Hidden beneath the snow was a snare trap made of nylon rope, the snare so well concealed that it was positioned perfectly in the animal trail.

Following Niu Zhihua's movements, Wang Yu looked over and saw the noose. His pupils instantly contracted, and the fur on his entire body stood on end.

The trap was less than ten meters away from where he had eaten and slept the night before!

He couldn't help but take a half step back, his heart pounding: "Damn it, luckily I stayed put last night and didn't run around, otherwise if I had stepped in and been strangled by this noose, I would have been really done for!"

After confirming that there were no other traps around, Tang Li quickly walked to Wang Yuyu's side, squatted down, carefully parted his tiger fur, and carefully checked him from head to toe. Only after confirming that he had not been injured by any traps did she breathe a sigh of relief.

She reached out and ruffled his tiger-like head, laughing, "A secure job, you're so lucky! You didn't fall into a single trap last night, what a lucky tiger!"

Wang Yuyu had no time to listen to her praise him. Eager to eat the meat, he bent down and grabbed Tang Li's sleeve, gently pulling it towards the roe deer carcass. He let out a rapid, low growl, as if urging her, "Hey, stop with the nonsense! Hurry up and help me defrost the meat, I'm starving!"

Tang Li was pulled forward two steps by him, and when she saw the frozen roe deer carcass lying on the bushes, she instantly understood his intentions.

She deliberately put on a stern face, stroking the tiger's head and asking knowingly, "You want to eat meat?"

Wang Yu nodded hurriedly, nuzzling her hand against her head, and growled, "Yes, yes, yes! Quickly start a fire to help me defrost! This meat is frozen too hard; I can't even bite into it, I can only lick some bits of meat to satisfy my craving!"

Tang Li turned to look at Niu Zhihua, her tone slightly coquettish: "Uncle Niu, what do you think..."

Niu Zhihua had long regarded the petite Tang Li as his own granddaughter, and upon seeing this, he happily replied, "Alright! I'll start a fire right away! It'll be perfect for this little one to have a treat."

"Thank you, Master Niu!" Tang Li immediately put on a sweet smile.

Niu Zhihua waved his hand and said with a smile, "No need to thank me! You're about the same age as my granddaughter, you're just so adorable."

Tang Li smiled awkwardly and didn't reply.

Her height is considered normal in the south, but in the northeast, she does look particularly petite among a group of tall people.

Locals always treat her like a child. Every time they go out, while others can enjoy adult activities, she is stopped by staff who say she looks like a minor.

Even though she showed her ID to prove she was an adult, she still couldn't get what she wanted and ended up having to try out the children's activities. She still feels helpless when she thinks about it now.

Here, Niu Zhihua found some dry branches and pine needles, built a fire, and lit it.

Wang Yuyu and Tang Li stood obediently to the side and waited. Wang Yuyu was so hungry that he would occasionally go to the roe deer carcass and stick out his tongue to quickly lick a mouthful of the thawed meat, just like eating a "tiger head popsicle" to satisfy his craving.

Tang Li couldn't help but laugh at his impatient look.

The fire quickly blazed, its orange flames leaping and dispelling the morning chill, while also baking the surrounding snow until it sizzled and steamed.

Tang Li took out a sharp knife from her backpack, walked to the roe deer carcass, and skillfully dismembered the frozen corpse into pieces of meat.

She placed the meat pieces near the fire to roast them slowly, allowing the frost inside to melt faster.

Meanwhile, Niu Zhihua was not idle. He took a metal detector and set off again, intending to expand the search area to confirm whether there were any other undiscovered traps hidden in this area, since poachers' snares are often laid out in large groups.

Wang Yuyu obediently lay down next to Tang Li, her two thick front paws tightly hugging a roe deer thigh bone, her head tilted at an adorable angle, and her pink tongue sticking out, licking the remaining bits of meat off the bone again and again.

Tang Li was delighted by his earnest and persistent expression and couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"Eat slowly, no rush. There'll be plenty of fresh, hot meat soon!"

Tang Li reached out and gently stroked Wang Yuyu's smooth tiger fur, from the top of his head all the way down his back. The warm and soft touch made her so comfortable that her eyes almost closed into slits.

"It's so cute! Much better behaved than the ones in the garden. It even lets me pet it while it's eating," she murmured softly, her eyes full of affection.

Thinking of the tigers I cared for at the zoo, every time I offered them meat, they would grab it and run back to their dorm, only eating it when they were far away, as if I were some kind of ferocious beast, refusing to give me any affection whatsoever.

She raised them with great care and love, but they've all grown up to be ungrateful wretches, showing no trust in her whatsoever.

Every time Tang Li thought about this, she felt a little wronged, and felt that the tiger in front of her who was willing to be close to her was especially precious.

"A secure job is still the best!" She couldn't help but rub Wang Yuyu's head again, the force as gentle as if she were caressing a fragile treasure.

After grilling for a short time, the frost inside a piece of meat completely melted.

Tang Li took the piece of meat off the bone, blew on it to cool it down, and then threw it in front of Wang Yuyu: "You're a secure job, don't bother gnawing on bones, there's no meat left on them. Come and eat this hot piece!"

"Roar!" Upon hearing the noise, Wang Yuyu immediately raised his head and saw the warm chunks of meat on the ground. His eyes lit up instantly, and without hesitation, he threw the thigh bone in his arms aside and quickly used his paws to pull the chunks of meat to his front.

He tilted his head, carefully took a small bite, and only after confirming it wasn't too hot did he start tearing it into pieces. His sharp teeth easily tore the meat into small pieces, and he chewed them slowly, making satisfied "woo-woo" sounds in his throat.

Tang Li watched him eat with such refined yet slightly impatient manner, her eyes practically sparkling, and couldn't help but praise him again:

"She's so well-behaved and adorable!"

"Eat slowly, no one's going to take it from you. There's plenty more here, it's all yours!"

As she spoke, she took the pieces of meat that had thawed by the fire one by one and piled them in front of Wang Yuyu, creating a small mountain of meat.

She stood by, occasionally helping to turn the remaining meat over, her tone incredibly gentle.
