Mo Ye's lips twitched, and he typed: "[Is rice noodle roll okay?]"

Both of them replied "OK" at the same time, followed by a row of kneeling and thanking emojis.

Mo Ye put away his phone and walked towards the cafeteria.

It was a little past nine o'clock, and there were very few people in the cafeteria. Those who had been in get out of class since 8 a.m. hadn't finished yet, and those who had been in class since 10 a.m. hadn't gotten up yet; it was a quiet period.

The lady serving food stood at the window. Seeing someone approaching, she quickly waved and called out in a loud voice, "Handsome, what would you like to eat?"

Mo Ye walked to the window and said with a smile, "Sister, two servings of rice noodle rolls, with meat and egg, to go."

The moment she called out "Sister," the auntie instantly looked ten years younger, and her wrinkles blossomed into a wide smile.

She deftly scooped the batter, spread the meat, cracked the eggs, and put them into the steamer. Her movements were fluid and graceful, and her hands didn't even tremble when she was shoveling rice noodle rolls.

Mo Ye looked at the rice noodle roll, which was covered with a generous amount of minced meat, at least twice as much as usual.

He scanned the QR code, paid twelve yuan, and carried the two takeout boxes back to the dormitory building.

The moment I pushed open the dormitory door, a blast of cold air hit me.

He slammed his heel against the door, slammed it shut, and shouted in a booming voice, "Sons, your father is back!"

Two heads popped out from the top bunk, their hair a mess, their eyes not fully open, but their mouths were already out: "Wow, Godfather, you're here!"

Mo Ye placed the rice noodle rolls on the table, too lazy to pay attention to them, and sat down in his seat.

He knew the nature of those two; they wouldn't get up before 9:35.

He glanced at his phone; it was 9:20, fifteen minutes to go.

Sure enough, at exactly 9:35, a rustling sound came from the upper bunk.

The two of them, like bears just waking up from hibernation, slowly climbed down, got dressed, and washed up. Forty minutes later, they were all dressed and sitting at the table eating rice noodle rolls.

Shen Qing grumbled as she chewed, her mouth so full she could barely speak:

"Damn it, what an idiot! We're almost graduating and they still have this stupid, low-quality course. It's a waste of time. And this teacher doesn't even realize it. He's crazy, making it seem like it's senior year of high school."

Wang Jie swallowed the rice noodle roll in his mouth and succinctly agreed, "Exactly."

The three of them went out together.

Shen Qing and Wang Jie walked ahead, their steps unsteady, like two walking corpses, their eyes half-open and half-closed, their souls still lying in bed.

Mo Ye followed behind, his steps steady and his spirits high.

Shen Qing turned to look at him, and said sourly, "Old Mo, why do you look so energetic?"

Mo Ye smiled and said, "I went to bed early."

The two of them turned their heads at the same time, looking at him as if he were a giant panda, their faces filled with disbelief.

"Wow!" Shen Qing's voice rose.

"You used to stay up past four in the morning, and now you say you go to bed early? You've done irreversible damage to my young mind."

Wang Jie clutched his chest, his expression pained, and said, "I can't take it anymore, I need to see a psychologist."

Mo Ye pursed his lips, too lazy to expose him.

The school psychologist is a pretty young woman from a modest family, and she's very gentle. Since she arrived, the number of college students with "mental problems" has visibly increased.

"I can't be bothered to call you out on what you're thinking." Mo Ye glanced at them. "You two shouldn't stay up so late. Cultivating immortality every day isn't good either."

The two clicked their tongues simultaneously, their voices dripping with envy: "Men with families are just different. Sigh, we're two single dogs, nobody loves us and nobody cares about us."

Mo Ye crossed his arms and said slowly, "There's nothing I can do, I have an older sister who dotes on me."

Shen Qing and Wang Jie simultaneously raised their Great Wilderness Imprisoning Heaven Finger to him, their two middle fingers pointing straight at his face:

"Go to hell with your dam! Get lost, we're done!"

Mo Ye remained unmoved, his tone still leisurely: "Perhaps Dr. Qin is unavailable."

Shen Qing's fingertips froze in mid-air.

He abruptly withdrew his hand, his expression shifting from anger to fawning faster than turning the pages of a book:

"Godfather! Father! I was wrong, I deserve to die." He raised his hand and punished himself by slapping himself twice. The slaps landed on Wang Jie's buttocks with two crisp and loud slaps.

Wang Jie yelled "Aow!" his eyes wide like saucers: "Go to hell! You son of a bitch, you hit me!"

Shen Qing bowed gracefully, then pulled out a pen from somewhere and put it in his mouth, striking a gentlemanly pose.

"It is your honor to sacrifice for your brother's lifelong happiness."

Wang Jie felt his fist harden, and he gritted his teeth, saying, "Honorable dam, prepare to receive my lion's fangs!"

Seeing that he was serious, Shen Qing took off running, shouting back as she ran, "Wow, Lao Wang, are you serious?"

Wang Jie chased after him, his footsteps thumping in the corridor: "It's fake, I was just kidding."

Mo Ye watched the two figures chasing each other down the corridor and shook his head helplessly.

He silently walked to the elevator and pressed the up button.

When the two of them finally climbed to the seventh floor, panting, Mo Ye was already waiting at the classroom door.

He leaned against the wall, holding his phone, his expression calm, looking at the two sweating men with the kind of look one might give a fool.

"You're in university, yet you're still acting like an elementary school student," Mo Ye said slowly.

"College students should be like kindergarteners, doing things that are way beyond their age. It's really something."

Shen Qing was bent over, his hands supporting his knees, panting heavily, unable to utter a single word.

Wang Jie took a few breaths, straightened up, kicked Shen Qing's butt, and finally felt relieved, letting out a long sigh: "That felt good."

Mo Ye put away his phone: "Okay, let's go in. There won't be any seats left if we wait."

The three of them pushed open the classroom door and glanced around. Their hearts sank. The last three rows were packed, with only a few scattered empty seats left in the second row, and none of them were three seats together.

They walked around the classroom again and confirmed the harsh reality: only the second row was available. They asked others to give up their seats so that they could sit together.

"Damn it." Shen Qing squeezed out a single word through gritted teeth.

Wang Jie also fell silent.

The three people sat down.

When they say it's the second row, it's actually the first row, because no one can ever sit in the first row.

The first three rows of a university classroom, with the third row being the "good student area," where people occasionally sit;

The second row is the "forced business area," which only gets visited when there are no seats available.

The first row is the "no man's land," which is desolate year-round and doesn't even bother to clean up the dust.

When Mo Ye sat down, the front row was empty. The teacher on the podium was adjusting the projector. His gaze swept over the sparse students below and landed on the three people in the second row, giving them a second look.

Shen Qing opened the book, lay down, and used the book to cover her face.

Wang Jie followed suit.

Looking at his two roommates who had already entered "class is sleep mode", Mo Ye silently took out his phone and sent a message to He Wanqing.

Class has started, and I miss you.

He Wanqing's reply came quickly, as if she had been waiting: [Attentive listening to the lesson, cleaver.jpg]

Mo Ye's lips curled up slightly. He placed his phone face down on the table and opened his textbook.

The teacher began the lesson, her voice soft but possessing a hypnotic quality.

A chorus of yawns came from the back row; Shen Qing had completely collapsed, breathing evenly.

Wang Jie's head bobbed up and down, like a chicken pecking at rice...

Mo Ye propped his head up, looking at the formulas on the blackboard, and suddenly realized that these days wouldn't last much longer.

After graduation, this classroom, this desk, and these two sleeping roommates next to me will all become memories...
