It was just a fleeting flirtation before Green released his grip, a playful smile playing on his lips.

Watching her jump back as if burned, covering her lips and staggering back two steps, her face steaming hot, her whole body trembling slightly.

"What... was that just now?"

"What are you talking about? I don't know!" Green grinned sheepishly and smoothed his hair.

"No, Green, this is very important!"

Emilia looked a little anxious, her small face filled with panic and helplessness, yet she didn't know how to describe that strange feeling.

"Rem only said that kissing won't make you pregnant, but you seem to have done something else just now... No, no, I have to go find Rem to confirm!"

As dawn slowly broke through, it gradually spread across the meadow of the campsite, turning the embers of the campfire into a warm golden-red hue.

Green was awakened by the warm touch in his arms, like holding a small stove, making him completely unaware of the morning chill.

A faint milky scent lingered around his nose. He groggily snuggled against the softness in his arms, mumbling in his sleep, "Betty~ you seem to have gained weight..."

"Heh, looks like someone slept very 'soundly' last night."

Green jolted awake, his eyes meeting Betty's icy blue gaze, which seemed to say, "I'm very unhappy."

The girl stood a few steps away with her arms crossed, her golden curly hair gleaming coldly in the morning light.

Only then did he belatedly look down—the one curled up in his arms was actually Mimi, a cat-like beastman. The girl was fast asleep, her cheek rubbing against his clothes, and her drool had soaked a small patch of fabric.

And on his shoulder, Rem was sleeping soundly, her cheek pressed against his shoulder, her long eyelashes drooping, her breathing light and shallow.

The three of them were draped together in a blanket, looking like a happy family.

"How does the new throw pillow feel, Grin?"

Betty said through gritted teeth, her gaze towards Mimi turning cold.

"Baby Betty, this was an accident..."

Green hurriedly got up, his face full of embarrassment.

He reached out and grabbed Mimi by the back of her collar, carefully lifting her into the air.

The cat girl was jolted awake, let out a long yawn, and raised her little hand to rub her big, round eyes into slits.

"Um... Good morning, Brother Green."

Green forced the drowsy Mimi to turn on, and helped her stand upright on the ground.

"Miss Anna just came to visit the mercenary group. She brought lots of cakes. If you don't go soon, Black Taro and Tibi will eat them all."

Mimi's ears perked up instantly, and her round eyes brightened like morning stars, her drowsiness vanishing in an instant.

She didn't even bother to rub her eyes, hastily wiping the drool on her clothes with her little hands, muttering, "What? Mimi's going to beat them up!"

After saying that, he turned around and ran towards the center of the camp. His small figure quickly disappeared among the tents.

Green then bent down with a fawning expression and moved close to the sulking great elf.

"No wonder it was all hairy, turns out it's that Mimi guy, she's not even as hairy as Betty's leg hair."

"Ugh—Betty doesn't remember having anything that looks like that."

"I don't believe you, let me check..."

"You idiot! Someone'll see you, you moron!"

After a period of playful banter, Betty's anger subsided considerably.

In her heart, it didn't matter how close Rem, Emilia, and Grimm were, but she would never give up the position of the Grimm body pillow.

Before Parker could even nod in agreement, Green quickly got up and slipped away.

"Feeding... I'm not very good at taking care of children..."

The giant elf Parker was a little flustered. He wanted to stop Green from leaving but didn't dare to shout too loudly, worried about disturbing the two little girls' sweet dreams.

As soon as Green returned to Betty's side, he put on a fawning smile and extended his right hand to her.

"Okay, Betty, come for a walk with me for a bit."

Betty glanced sideways at his outstretched hand, a hint of awkwardness still lingering in her icy blue eyes.

She slowly raised her little hand and gently placed it in Green's hand.

"Hmph, Betty kept an eye on Wotox for you all night, and you actually slept with another girl behind Betty's back. Next time, you need to apply for permission before doing something like this, you know?"
