Xue Bingbing blushed so deeply she could bleed, and pulled Le Qi and Le Yao down the kang (a heated brick bed).

"I... let's go cook!" She grabbed her clothes and threw them on haphazardly, then dragged the two sisters outside.

Le Yao was pulled away, and she glanced back at Liu Xiangyang, her face as red as an apple. Le Qi also turned around, smiled at them, and was then pulled out the door by Xue Bingbing.

Footsteps echoed through the main room and into the kitchen, followed by soft laughter and the clatter of pots and pans.

As soon as Luo Lan saw Xue Bingbing and the others leave, she glanced at the three women beside her who were still in a daze, leaned close to Liu Xiangyang, and started eating.

Liu Xiangyang grabbed her ponytail and looked at the other three people: "You guys are still standing there. Look at your sister Roland, she's much smarter than you."

Zuo Qingqing was stunned, Jiang Xiaowen stared wide-eyed, and He Xiaoqin blushed deeply, but stared intently without blinking.

After a long while, Roland finally raised his head, pursed his lips, looked at the three dumbfounded people, and smiled.

"That's because they weren't clever enough; they can't blame me for getting there first."

Zuo Qingqing then realized what was happening and pounced on her, pinching her: "Sister Luo Lan! You're too cunning!"

Jiang Xiaowen rushed over, her voice booming, "That's right! How could you jump the gun!"

He Xiaoqin stood there, hesitated for a moment, and then joined in.

Liu Xiangyang reached out, pulled Zuo Qingqing over, and kissed her. Zuo Qingqing made a soft "Mmm" sound and went limp in his arms. He then pulled Jiang Xiaowen over, and Jiang Xiaowen giggled and leaned in to kiss him. He Xiaoqin was pushed by Luo Lan and also threw herself into his arms.

The kang (heated brick bed) became lively again, filled with laughter and panting, and clothes were scattered everywhere.

By the time the group finished their work, it was almost dark.

The aroma of food wafted from the kitchen, and Xue Bingbing's voice called out, "Dinner's ready!"

Liu Xiangyang sat up, looked at the people lying haphazardly around him, and smiled.

Roland slowly put on her clothes, a slight smile playing on her lips. He Xiaoqin blushed, but her movements were natural. Once dressed, she ran outside, saying, "I'm going to help Sister Bingbing and the others serve the dishes."

The table was already full of dishes. Xue Bingbing, Le Qi, and Le Yao came in with bowls and chopsticks. When the three of them saw them, their already flushed faces turned even redder.

Zuo Qingqing was held down by Liu Xiangyang and sat down, calling out, "Sister Bingbing, I want to eat that!"

A large pot of braised pork, glistening with oil, the skin trembling; a stewed chicken, with a layer of golden oil floating on the surface of the soup; a braised fish, sprinkled with bright green scallions; and also scrambled eggs, stewed green beans, smashed cucumber, cold black fungus salad, plus a large pot of tomato and egg soup.

Xue Bingbing brought out the last bowl of soup, sat down next to Liu Xiangyang, and muttered softly, "I originally wanted to make eight dishes, but I don't have time."

Liu Xiangyang laughed: "You still think this isn't enough? Even the production team leader's family doesn't have this kind of lavish display."

Le Yao picked up a piece of braised pork and put it in his bowl: "Brother, eat more. You must not have eaten well in Harbin."

Leqi also put a piece of fish on his plate: "I made this fish, try it and see if it's salty."

Liu Xiangyang sat down, and Xue Bingbing placed a bowl of rice in front of him and picked up a piece of chicken for him. Le Yao and Zuo Qingqing sat on either side of him, while Le Qi sat opposite him, glancing up at him from time to time.

Roland slowly began, "I'm alright with Chinese, but I'm struggling with math; those formulas are all so convoluted."

Leqi nodded: "Me too. My math foundation is weak, so I need to spend more time reviewing."

Le Yao raised her hand: "I'm good at Chinese! I can write compositions, but math is..."

Liu Xiangyang looked at Xue Bingbing.

Xue Bingbing wiped her mouth: "I've been studying all night. I'm fine with Chinese and politics, and I'm slowly working through math. Qiqi and Yaoyao are with me, so we can help each other out."

Liu Xiangyang nodded, his gaze sweeping over Zuo Qingqing and Jiang Xiaowen.
