The two walked through the starship's narrow corridor and stopped in front of the cabin where Lu Yao and Zhou Jinlu were.

Ah Qi didn't knock; he just pushed the door open and entered.

Inside the cabin, Lu Yao was sitting next to Zhou Jinlu, the two of them very close together.

Ah Qi's peach blossom eyes narrowed slightly, then curved into two crescent moons, and her innocent smile returned to her face.

"Sister, I've come to see you. Did you miss me?" He walked in with a smile, his gaze sweeping between Lu Yao and Zhou Jinlu. "What are you two doing?"

Lu Yao subconsciously moved half a step closer to Zhou Jinlu, a subtle movement that was noticed by A Qi.

"I didn't do anything," she said calmly. "Is there something you need?"

"Of course I have something to say." Ah Qi squatted down in front of her, tilting his head slightly to look at her, his peach blossom eyes filled with undisguised affection. "I missed my sister, so I came over."

As he spoke, he reached out to touch Lu Yao's face.

Lu Yao turned her head away.

Ah Qi's hand froze in mid-air for a moment, then he laughed and stood up: "Sister doesn't like me touching you? That's really heartbreaking."

"Aze, teach Young Master Zhou a lesson." His emotions changed quickly; one second he was all smiles, the next he could be ruthless and deadly.

When Zhou Jinlu was lifted up by Aze's men, Lu Yao instinctively tried to stop him, but Aqi hugged her from behind: "Sister, you have to watch carefully. Every time you refuse me, Young Master Zhou will suffer for it. Even if you don't feel sorry for me, you should feel sorry for him, right?"

"Don't do it in front of her, um, she's pregnant!" Zhou Jinlu didn't forget to consider Lu Yao's feelings even when he was being hit.

"Stop!" Lu Yao's voice rang out in the cabin. She didn't cry, knowing full well that tears would be useless at this time. She turned to look at A Qi.

The boy still looked harmless with a smile. "What did you want to say, sister?"

"Let him go." Lu Yao took a deep breath. "I'll do whatever you want me to do, but the only condition is that you don't hurt him."

Ah Qi tilted his head and looked at her, as if he was seriously considering the suggestion.

"Okay, can you hold me while I sleep tonight, sister?"

"Don't agree to him, Yaoyao." Zhou Jinlu had already been thrown to the ground. He struggled to stand up, but was kicked down by Aze's men and his back was stepped on.

Lu Yao blinked hard: "Okay."

Ah Qi's eyes lit up instantly.

"Really?" His tone was filled with undisguised surprise, like a child who had received a beloved toy. "My sister really wants to hold me while I sleep?"

Lu Yao looked at his unbelievably handsome face, which was slightly flushed with excitement. His peach blossom eyes curved into crescents, filled with pure joy.

If it weren't for this occasion, she would almost have thought he was just an ordinary teenager yearning for affection.

"Really," she said calmly, "but you can't hurt him anymore."

Ah Qi tilted his head and thought for a moment, then readily nodded.

"Okay." He released his grip on Lu Yao, turned to look at Zhou Jinlu on the ground, and smiled brightly. "Let go of Young Master Zhou and find him a more comfortable room. Don't let him get cold or hungry."

Aze nodded slightly, signaling his men to help Zhou Jinlu up.

Zhou Jinlu broke free from their hands, staggered to his feet, and fixed his light brown eyes on Lu Yao.

"Slender and graceful..."

"Zhou Jinlu, if you're doing well, then I'll be doing well too." Lu Yao smiled at him, not letting him finish his sentence.

Zhou Jinlu felt as if something was blocking his throat.

Looking at the reassuring smile on Lu Yao's face, and at the unwavering determination in her clear black and white eyes, his heart felt as if it were being squeezed tightly, aching and numb.

He knew that Lu Yao was protecting him in her own way.

This is what he should have done.

But now, he helplessly needs Lu Yao to protect him.

"Young Master Zhou, please." Aze gestured expressionlessly.

Zhou Jinlu did not move, his gaze still fixed on Lu Yao.

Lu Yao gently shook her head at him.

Zhou Jinlu's Adam's apple bobbed violently, as if he was trying to suppress something.

He finally lowered his eyes, turned around, and followed Aze's men out of the cabin. His back was slightly unsteady, but he did not look back.

The hatch closed silently behind him.

Ah Qi withdrew his gaze and looked at Lu Yao with a smile.

"Sister, it seems that Young Master Zhou is very important to you. Is she the third suitable partner you chose for yourself?"

"No, we're just friends." Lu Yao turned her head to meet A Qi's gaze directly.

Ah Qi met her clear, dark eyes, and the smile on his face froze for a moment. He realized that the woman in front of him was actually very bold.

Even under such circumstances of being restricted and threatened, she still dared to look him in the eye and did not cry or beg him to let them go.

Instead, they protected the two of them in a dignified manner.

Even though it's naive, it still makes people feel hopeful.

"So you can go to such lengths for your friends, sister. It must be a wonderful thing to be your friend." Ah Qi smiled again, tracing Lu Yao's face with her fingers. "But I don't want to be your friend, sister. I want to be your only lover."

Lu Yao did not dodge his touch, nor did she respond to his words; she simply looked at him quietly.

Ah Qi's fingers lingered on her cheek for a moment before slowly withdrawing.

"Why isn't your sister saying anything?" He tilted his head, his tone tinged with confusion. "Does she dislike me?"

Lu Yao gently shook her head.

"I don't dislike it," she said, looking away, "but I didn't like what you just said."

Ah Qi blinked: "Why?"

"Because true affection isn't something you can gain through threats and harm. You used Zhou Jinlu to threaten me into agreeing to your demands. Even if I agreed, do you think that kind of affection is genuine? Or are you saying you'd accept it even if it's feigned?"

Ah Qi was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter.

His laughter echoed in the cabin, his impossibly handsome face beaming with delight, as if he had heard some amusing joke.

Lu Yao watched him quietly without interrupting, until Ah Qi finished laughing and stopped, his peach blossom eyes looking at her.

"Sister, you are really interesting." His tone was full of undisguised admiration. "I have met many people. Some are afraid of me, some hate me, some want to use me, and some want to kill me. But no one has ever told me what liking and love are like you, sister. But none of that matters to me. What matters is always the result. The result is that I got you, sister, and that's enough."

"You sound a bit pathetic." Lu Yao curled her lips slightly, revealing a contemptuous smile. "You've never been properly loved, that's why you say that."
