"Jack...?" Cobblestone stammered, "Didn't he resign a long time ago?"

"Stop playing dumb!" The bearded man shook Cobblestone forcefully. "This kid not only messed with Falcone, the higher-ups are desperate to get his head!"

"His entire family is dead. This kid's injured; he can't have gone far!"

"If you see him, kill him on sight. There will be a hefty reward from above!"

Deep in the shadows.

Jack leaned against the cold metal can and heard everything clearly.

Corrupt police.

Taking dirty money.

We need to give him his head as proof.

My entire family is dead.

Jack's hands were clenched into fists, veins bulging on the back.

In his mind, the blood-filled hole in his mother's chest, which was constantly bleeding, and the lifeless face of his fiancée lying in a pool of blood flashed alternately.

There was not a shred of pity.

These police officers, who are supposed to represent justice, are paid by taxpayers but have become lackeys of gangsters.

The underworld and the legitimate world in Gotham have long been intertwined.

Jack's breathing became rapid, and a strange gurgling sound came from his throat.

He couldn't cry anymore.

Cobbler was thrown to the ground by the bearded man, and he was thrown around in a daze.

"Go get the money! I need to get back and report!" The bearded man kicked Cobbett.

Cobo scrambled to his feet, bowing and scraping repeatedly.

"Yes, yes, sir, please wait a moment, I'll go get it right away."

Copeport turned and limped back into the shadows.

As soon as Cobblestone turned the corner, he saw Jack's twisted and maniacal grin.

Jack's fingers unconsciously scratched at the metal pipe beside him, making a harsh scraping sound.

Cobb swallowed hard and whispered in Jack's ear.

"Those three guards were sent by Falcone to monitor me."

Cobblestone spoke very quickly, as if afraid that Jack might impulsively turn him into a puppet as well.

"They happened to run into you because they wanted to go out and asked me to arrange something fun for them."

"These police officers came to collect their commission, and they left after getting the money."

As Cobbard spoke, he observed Jack's expression.

Jack didn't say anything, but just tilted his head and looked at Cobblestone with a playful expression.

There was no fear in those eyes, only madness.

Cobblestone gritted his teeth and made a decision.

Since we're already on this pirate ship, let's go all out!

"Should I call my men to help us beat them up and vent our anger?" Cobbett asked tentatively.

Jack grinned and slowly nodded.

With permission granted, Copport immediately turned around.

He made a subtle gesture toward a dark corner on the other side of the corridor.

These were his trusted confidants, who usually hid in the shadows of the chemical plant.

In the outside corridor.

The bearded man lit a cigarette and took a satisfying drag.

"This penguin is so slow. Once we get the money, we'll have to make him bleed a little more to treat us to a drink."

The tall, thin man didn't respond; he was still looking around.

"I have a feeling something's not right here." The tall, thin man's hand remained on the gun handle. "It's too quiet."

The voice just fell.

Several burly figures suddenly darted out of the darkness!

"Don't move!"

"Put your hands up!"

The leader was a fat man weighing over 300 pounds, holding a Remington shotgun and pressing it directly against the bearded man's forehead.

The other thugs also raised their weapons and surrounded the four corrupt police officers.

The dark muzzle of a gun was pressed firmly against their chests and heads.

The cigarette in the bearded man's mouth fell to the ground, sending up a shower of sparks.

"Are you all insane?!" the bearded man roared, his eyes wide with rage. "Do you know who we are?!"

"We're from the Gotham Police Department! How dare you point guns at us?"

The tall, thin man was both shocked and furious. He tried to draw his gun, but one of the thugs next to him slammed the butt of his gun into his wrist.

"Ah!" the tall, thin man screamed as his pistol fell into a puddle.

"Cotterpad! What the hell are you doing, you son of a bitch?!" the bearded man yelled from the shadows. "Are you trying to rebel?!"

"Falcone will chop you up and feed you to the dogs!"

The four corrupt police officers were filled with shock and anger, completely bewildered by the situation.

How dare a low-level leader lay a hand on them?

Just then.

A rhythmic sound came from the darkness.

Da da da.

That was the sound of a cane striking the concrete floor.

Every strike hit the hearts of the corrupt police officers.

Cobb emerged from the shadows, but instead of speaking, he respectfully stepped aside.

Followed by.

A gaunt man wearing a tattered shirt and with his right leg wrapped in blood-soaked gauze limped into the light, leaning on a rusty steel pipe.

The dim, yellowish light of the incandescent bulb illuminated his face.

It was a face painted with an exaggerated, blood-red smile.

Jack stopped, tilted his head, and looked at the four corrupt cops pinned to the wall with guns pointed at them with a half-smile.

Good evening, officers.

Jack's voice was hoarse, carrying a kind of chilling pleasure.

"I heard you've been looking for me?"

The bearded man stared at the strange man before him, his pupils contracting.

"You...you're Jack?"

"You got it right!" Jack clapped his hands happily. "Too bad there's no prize."

Jack, leaning on his steel pipe, walked step by step to the bearded man.

He extended his blood-stained fingers and gently tapped the police badge on the bearded man's chest.

"Taking dirty money to kill civilians."

Jack grinned, his shoulders shaking with laughter.

"The Gotham police are really great."

"I love this city so much."

Jack turned his head and looked at Cobblestone.

"Hey Penguin, what kind of show do you think we should put together for these police officers?"
