Chapter 275 He Yuzhu Encounters Japanese Soldiers While Hunting

Song Ran replied with a smile, "Mom! I love anything you make!"

"You're such a sweet talker!" Xu Wenya said, then stood up and went straight to the kitchen.

Song Ran watched her mother's retreating figure, a hint of reluctance appearing on her face.

The next morning, He Yuzhu finished washing up, ate breakfast, said goodbye to He Daqing, and rode his bicycle to work. Upon arriving at the police station, He Yuzhu said goodbye to Ma Huaimin and left on his three-wheeled motorcycle. As before, He Yuzhu rode his three-wheeled motorcycle out of Beijing and found a place to exchange it for an off-road vehicle. Presumably because it was too cold, there were hardly any people on the road. After more than two hours, a little after nine in the morning, He Yuzhu found an unguarded spot at the foot of a mountain, parked the vehicle, then stored it in his spatial storage, took out his hunting carbine, and went into the mountains.

With his divine sense as a cheat tool, He Yuzhu quickly found his prey: a pack of about thirteen or fourteen wolves and their prey, a herd of gazelles being driven away.

He Yuzhu found a well-hidden, upwind position. Soon, both the wolves and sheep arrived. He Yuzhu didn't hesitate, striking first. In the blink of an eye, he emptied the magazines of his carbine and two spare magazines of his Type 56 semi-automatic rifle. Neither the sheep nor the wolves escaped.

He Yuzhu gathered the prey together, took out a dagger, and swiftly bled them.

Just as he was bleeding the last sheep, He Yuzhu suddenly sensed something staring at him. His heart tightened, and he instinctively released his divine sense. What he discovered was shocking: a tiger was crouching about five or six hundred meters away, staring at him.

He Yuzhu instantly realized that the smell of blood had most likely attracted the large creature. Trying to remain calm, He Yuzhu changed the magazine on his carbine, pulled the bolt, and abruptly turned and pulled the trigger. The magazine was empty in the blink of an eye. He Yuzhu then switched to a Thompson submachine gun with a drum magazine and cautiously approached the tiger's location.

Reaching the tiger, He Yuzhu saw bullet holes in its left eye and between its eyebrows, and immediately breathed a sigh of relief. He Yuzhu plopped down on the ground, muttering, "Damn it! That scared the hell out of me!" Then, He Yuzhu put the tiger, along with the wolf and sheep that had already been bled, into his spatial storage. Next, He Yuzhu flashed into his space, found a container, and bled the tiger again.

After dealing with the tiger, He Yuzhu ate something in his spatial dimension, then left to continue searching for prey.

Time quickly passed to 2 PM. As He Yuzhu planned to find a place to rest before continuing his hunt, he suddenly heard footsteps approaching from not far behind him. Alert, He Yuzhu immediately climbed a tree and scanned the direction of the footsteps with his divine sense. After about three or four seconds, four men dressed as hunters appeared in He Yuzhu's divine sense. Although these men didn't exchange any words, He Yuzhu sensed from their gait and the way they held their guns that they were not ordinary people.

About ten minutes later, the group appeared under the tree where He Yuzhu was hiding. One of them took out a map and a compass, compared them, and said, "This is the direction! We didn't go wrong this time!"

"Kumano-kun, now that we've found these things, does that mean we've completed our mission?! Can we go home now?!"

Kumano Jiro put away the map and compass and said, "Yes! As long as we find the items and deliver them to the designated location, we can leave here and return to our homeland to reunite with our families."

At this point, He Yuzhu was 100% certain that these people were enemy agents. He thought to himself, "Since I've run into you, consider it your bad luck! But you're not going back to your hometowns!"

After the four people had gone some distance, He Yuzhu immediately climbed down the tree and, relying on his divine sense, followed them. Two more hours passed in the blink of an eye, and He Yuzhu followed the four people to an abandoned mountain god temple. He Yuzhu thought to himself, "Could what they're looking for be in this temple?!" Just as He Yuzhu hesitated, Kumano Jiro walked to the mountain god statue. He pressed a button on the base of the statue, revealing a keyhole. Kumano Jiro took the key hanging around his neck, inserted it into the keyhole, and turned it forcefully to the right. A mechanical sound rang out, and the mountain god statue slowly moved to the right. Soon, an opening appeared before them.

He Yuzhu knew his chance had come. He dashed into the abandoned mountain temple, and before the four Japanese soldiers could react, he pulled the trigger of his carbine. Four shots rang out, and the four Japanese soldiers fell to the ground. He Yuzhu then fired a shot into the forehead of three of the remaining soldiers, before walking over to Kumano Jiro's side.

Kumano Jiro looked at He Yuzhu and asked, "Who are you?!"

He Yuzhu said, "You don't need to know who I am! Just tell me your superiors and subordinates, and I'll spare your life! Otherwise, I'll send you to reunite with your companions."

Kumano Jiro laughed loudly, "You won't get anything out of my mouth." With that, he gritted his teeth, intending to bite off the poison sac inside his dentures and commit suicide. But after a few seconds, Kumano Jiro realized he was still alive, and then looked at He Yuzhu with a terrified expression.

He Yuzhu laughed and said, "Trying to commit suicide in front of me isn't that easy! I'm giving you one last chance, will you talk or not?!"

Kumano Jiro gave a soft hum and closed his eyes.

Seeing that Kumano Jiro remained silent, He Yuzhu lost patience and began interrogating him. He Yuzhu shot Kumano Jiro and then began looting the body.

The other three corpses had nothing but some money and tickets. However, Kumano Jiro had quite a few things on him besides money. One of them, a notebook, caught He Yuzhu's attention. He Yuzhu opened the notebook and quickly flipped through its contents. He then realized that this was a secret warehouse belonging to the Japanese. As for what was inside the warehouse, the notebook didn't specify. He Yuzhu placed the four Japanese corpses aside, put their weapons into his spatial storage, then took out a powerful flashlight from his storage space, walked to the entrance of the secret room, turned on the flashlight, and shone it down. A row of stone steps came into He Yuzhu's view. He Yuzhu carefully descended the stone steps.

After climbing about fifteen steps, He Yuzhu stepped onto the ground. Looking around in the direction of his flashlight beam, he saw that he was in a large hall. The center of the hall was piled high with things. There were also four large, tightly closed doors.
