The next morning, Jiang Che was awakened by intermittent talking.

"Hello, senior, we are a student team participating in the Challenge Cup..."

The main lights weren't on in the room yet; light filtering through the curtains fell onto the floor.

Su Qinghe had already changed into her sportswear and was standing in front of the dressing mirror, quietly practicing her opening remarks on her phone.

"You can set your own price for the textbooks, or you can donate them for free... If it's inconvenient for you to give them to us right now, you can just register the book information."

She finished speaking, looked down at the memo, and started again from the beginning.

Jiang Che leaned against the headboard and listened for a while, and most of his drowsiness dissipated.

She was clearly nervous, asking several times last night if she would be rejected, but this morning she woke up earlier than her alarm clock.

Ultimately, she didn't suddenly become good at dealing with strangers; she just didn't want to hold the team back.

"The third time was better than the second," Jiang Che said.

Su Qinghe shrank back in fright and turned around: "When did you wake up?"

"From the moment you said 'Hello, senior'."

"Isn't that the first sentence?"

"So I listened to it three times." Jiang Che got out of bed and walked behind her, straightening the corner of her collar that had been turned up. "It's already very natural. If you keep practicing, you'll easily get confused when you actually meet your senior later."

"But I'm still a little nervous."

"Being nervous doesn't prevent you from speaking."

Jiang Che picked up the student ID and registration form prepared on the table and put them into her canvas bag. "Everything is here. If I really forget my lines, I'll just introduce myself first, and then ask the others according to the form."

Su Qinghe opened her bag and checked it: "Where's your student ID?"

"Here it is, don't worry, I've brought it with me."

"Is your phone charged?"

"Fully charged."

"Was the registration form saved offline?"

"I saved it last night." Jiang Che pinched her cheek. "Team Leader Su, any further instructions?"

"Don't pinch it, it will swell up, and it won't look good if it swells up."

After a quick breakfast, the two arrived at the entrance of Peking University Library, where Xu Wenbin, Song Mingxuan, and Lu Ziang were already standing at the bottom of the steps.

Xu Wenbin had an empty sack slung over his shoulder and two bundles of packing rope in his hand, looking as if he were going to clear out a flea market.

Jiang Che walked over and patted the sack: "Hey Lao Xu, with this big fuss, are you planning to collect tons of books?"

"It's always better to be prepared."

Xu Wenbin tore open the bag to show it off, "I borrowed this from the dorm supervisor last night. It can hold at least fifty books."

"Nobody can stop me today. I'm going to show the boys' dorm what a textbook moving tycoon looks like."

Song Mingxuan pushed up his glasses: "You should collect half a bag first."

"Old Song, can't you say something auspicious this morning?"

"Sure, I hope the dorm manager doesn't mistake you for a junk collector and kick you out."

Lu Ziang handed a printed form to Jiang Che: "Old Jiang, this is a paper backup. You can write it down here when your phone has no signal, and enter it back into the database later."

"Old Lu is still the most reliable." Xu Wenbin reached out to take a copy as well.

But Lu Ziang suddenly withdrew his hand, saying, "You can use the electronic version."

Why?

Your handwriting is too messy.

Xu Wenbin looked down at his hands. What sloppy handwriting? This was clearly calligraphy, art!

He was about to continue arguing with Lu Ziang when, just then, the voices of Lin tide and the others suddenly came from the other side of the steps.

"Qinghe, over here!"

Jiang Che turned his head and saw Lin tide, Zhao Weilan and Shen Shiyu walking in this direction.

Two older girls followed behind the three, each dragging a folding cart.

The cart was piled high with books.

Advanced mathematics, college English, linear algebra, and principles of management—one course after another.

On top of it were two thick professional textbooks that could be used as pillows.

Xu Wenbin stared with his mouth agape, looking down at his empty sack, then at the two small carts crammed full of textbooks.

"No, we haven't even come to the door yet, and the books have already arrived by themselves?"

Lin tide patted the cart next to her: "I asked in the club group last night, and these two senior students are just about to clear out their dorm rooms."

"They said they'd bring them over for us to see first, and if we liked them, there were more in the dorm."

One of the female students parked her car, held onto the handrail, and asked, "You guys run a secondhand textbook platform, right?"

Su Qinghe subconsciously squeezed the strap of the canvas bag, then took a step forward.

"Hello, senior, we are a student team participating in the Challenge Cup."

"You can set your own prices for the textbooks, or you can give them away for free to students who need them. We are only responsible for registration and matching; we will not forcibly take them away."

She spoke slowly and didn't think about the pauses in the memo.

The senior student nodded, bent down and patted the stack of textbooks: "Okay, let's register these first. We still have six boxes in our dorm. Did you bring a car?"

Xu Wenbin silently rolled up the sack and stuffed it behind his back.

Jiang Che patted him on the shoulder: "Yeah, isn't he a major supplier of our textbooks? He can also work as a copycat, right, Lao Xu?"

"Old Jiang, six boxes."

"Didn't you want the boys' dorm to witness textbooks being moved?"

"Isn't this a bit too lenient a start?"

Lin tide handed him the handle of a small cart: "Say less and move it first."

Xu Wenbin caught the lever, and as soon as the wheel started turning, the management principles book on top slid to the side.

He quickly used his arm to protect it, and the empty sack on his shoulder fell to his elbow. It took him a while to straighten the book.

"I've figured it out now. Don't make grand pronouncements too early." Xu Wenbin slung the sack back over his shoulder. "Yesterday I was thinking of sweeping through the boys' dorms, but today I got a lesson from six boxes of books as soon as I arrived at the library."

"Didn't you say that one bag could hold fifty books?" Lin tide asked.

"I may be able to carry it, but I never said I could actually carry it."

"Then what do you need it for?"

"Creating a sense of professionalism."

Lin tide didn't bother to reply and turned around to help the two senior students check the textbooks on the cart.

Jiang Che looked around and saw that the six boxes of books were quite a lot. If everyone had to move them all to the library and register them, it would not only be a hassle, but it would also be easy to make a mess.

He took out his phone and opened the spreadsheet that Lu Ziang had prepared the night before.

"Senior, let's register these two cars first. You don't need to move the books from your dorm over."

The senior student who had spoken earlier, holding onto the handle, asked, "How much if I don't move them?"

"Just take pictures of the cover and copyright page to record the condition. Leave the book in your dorm for now."

Jiang Che handed her the form: "Once the platform page is ready, you can publish it yourself, or you can have us enter the data for you."

"We'll contact you when someone needs the documents so we can verify them in person and save you the trouble of moving them around."

The senior student flipped through the form. She had been worried that these people would take the books away and then leave without a trace, but now that she heard that the books could be kept in her possession, her concerns lessened considerably.

"This is really convenient. We have too many books in our dorm. If we really had to move them down, we'd probably have to make several trips."

Another female student took the phone and asked, "Do we fill in the price ourselves?"

"Yes, you can decide for yourselves," Su Qinghe chimed in from the side. "You can also give it away for free if you want; the platform won't interfere."
