Amidst deafening laughter filled with complex emotions, Scott's defense completely collapsed.

He stopped trying to refute, and stopped struggling.

Their so-called elite alliance of more than twenty people suffered a crushing defeat in this "encirclement and suppression" they themselves had instigated.

All the weapons they had carefully prepared—human rights, environmental protection, freedom, democracy—became a joke in front of Gu Yun.

All the theories they were so proud of were shattered in front of this young man from the East.

Gu Yun didn't look at him again.

He had no interest in saying a single word to an opponent who had lost his will to fight.

His gaze slowly swept over the group of dejected Western contestants, finally settling on the judges' panel.

Hamilton, the Cambridge professor who was hostile to him from the beginning and orchestrated this "encirclement and suppression".

At this moment, Professor Hamilton's expression was even more unpleasant than Scott's.

His wrinkled old face turned a deep purplish-red, and his knuckles turned white from gripping the water glass so tightly.

He just couldn't understand how things had gotten to this point.

He had clearly laid a trap.

He gathered elites from more than twenty countries and launched a comprehensive attack on Gu Yun from all angles and fields.

He thought it would be an easy, crushing victory.

He had even prepared how, when Gu Yun was rendered speechless by the questions, he would step in as an "elder" and a "victor" to smooth things over and comment on Gu Yun's "youthful arrogance" and "recklessness."

But the scene on the stage was completely opposite to what he had expected.

Those who were left speechless by the questioning were their own people.

It was their people who were crushed.

His meticulously organized "encirclement and suppression" army was like a mob in front of Gu Yun, easily overwhelmed and defeated.

This is more than just a slap in the face to him.

This is to crush his lifelong academic reputation and the arrogance of Western centrism he represents, and to rub it hard with the soles of his feet!

Just then, he felt Gu Yun's gaze.

That gaze was calm and indifferent, yet it was like the sharpest sword, piercing straight into his heart.

Hamilton's heart skipped a beat.

He had a premonition that this devil's next target was him!

"Professor Hamilton."

Sure enough, Gu Yun spoke up.

His voice wasn't loud, but it sounded like a death knell, instantly tensing Hamilton's body.

"Just now, it was you who proposed this 'unrestricted free debate,' wasn't it?" Gu Yun asked with a smile, a smile that Hamilton found full of malice.

"Yes...it's me," Hamilton answered, forcing himself to stay calm. He knew he couldn't escape it now.

"You said at the time that you wanted to have a 'real debate that tests wisdom and logic,' not 'intimidation and threats.'"

Gu Yun slowly repeated his words, each one as if reminding him that he had started this farce himself.

"You also said you would use a series of attacks to 'besiege' me."

"Now you see." Gu Yun shrugged, glancing around at the dejected contestants on the stage.

"Is this what you expected, a 'debate that truly tests wisdom and logic'?"

"Is this the strength of the elite alliance you've organized?"

Gu Yun's tone was full of undisguised sarcasm.

"I..." Hamilton's face flushed red and then turned pale. He felt his blood pressure rising at a dangerous rate.

He wanted to argue, but found himself speechless.

Could it be that Gu Yun is too strong?

Doesn't that mean admitting that all twenty-odd of them combined are not as good as him alone?

That would be even more shameful!

"Professor, there's no need to be nervous." Gu Yun's smile widened as she looked at his embarrassed expression. "I didn't mean to criticize you."

"I simply wish to ask you, as a student, a question that you, a highly respected Cambridge professor, may ask."

I have a question.

Hamilton was utterly skeptical.

He knew this was definitely another trap!

"You just said that my previous debate was 'intimidation and threats,' not a real debate." Gu Yun's eyes became somewhat playful.

"Then, I would like to ask you, in your opinion, what constitutes a 'true debate'?"

"Is it like just now, where you can attack my country with impunity using hearsay or even fabricated 'crimes'?"

"And I'm supposed to be all polite and eloquent, citing numerous examples and explaining myself point by point?"

"You can ignore the facts, only talk about emotions, and engage in moral blackmail."

"And I must restrain myself and remain calm, without uttering any extreme words, otherwise I'll be considered 'uncivilized' or 'irrational'?"

"You can form cliques, gang up on the few, and use a strategy of attrition."

"And I'm supposed to fight this battle alone, accepting the unfair rules you've set?"

With each question Gu Yun asked, Hamilton's face grew paler.

He discovered that Gu Yun was laying bare all his previous actions and thoughts for public trial.

"So, Professor, what you call a 'real debate' is just a game where you're allowed to set fires while we're forbidden to light lamps, isn't that right?"

"What you call 'wisdom and logic' is just a double standard that only applies to us, but has no binding force on yourselves, isn't it?"

Gu Yun's gaze was fixed on Hamilton's face, and his voice suddenly rose.

"Your so-called 'civilization' means that we shouldn't fight back when we're hit, we shouldn't talk back when we're insulted, we should kneel before you and accept your humiliation and definitions, is that right?!"

"This is what you wanted to see, the 'real debate'?!"

Hamilton could no longer withstand this level of soul-searching questioning.

He felt a sudden darkness before his eyes, and his body jerked backward, almost falling off the chair.

Fortunately, a judge nearby reacted quickly and caught him.

Gu Yun shook her head as she looked at his disheveled appearance.

He withdrew his gaze and looked back at the center of the stage, at the group of contestants from various countries who had been completely relegated to the background.

"You want to attack me using human rights? I'll talk to you about the right to survival."

"You're trying to use environmental protection to blackmail me. I'll talk to you about the right to development."

"You want to use international responsibility to pressure me? I'll talk to you about historical grievances."

"You want to play double standards and dictate the rules with me?"

Gu Yun sneered.

"Excuse me."

"Every arrow you shoot at me will eventually become a boomerang stuck in your own body."

"The game is over now."
