Chapter 119 Fat Woman, Run!

Amanda Waller received a communication from the Mars Hunters.

The content is very concise, consisting of only one word.

"Run!"

Although this woman is somewhat annoying in most ways, she is actually quite good at understanding situations.

Having already monitored everything happening on the sea battlefield with the device installed on Martian Hunter, and now with Martian Hunter's warning, she immediately ordered all staff at the Sky Eye Society base to evacuate as quickly as possible.

Amanda then led a few people around her and quickly slipped through a hidden electronic door into the emergency passage.

As the Sky Eye Society was established under the orders of the US government specifically to prevent harm from superhumans, it has naturally considered the possibility of a powerful superhuman sneaking up on its doorstep one day.

Amanda didn't ask Steve Trevor, who was wearing silver-gray armor, until she got into an incredibly inconspicuous black van.

"Commander Steve, how many combat personnel are left in the base?"

Steve crossed his legs and answered in a loud voice.

"Most of the combatants have been deployed overseas, leaving only Black Siren, Kronos, and a dozen or so agents."

Without a second thought, Amanda gave the order to Steve.

"Notify Black Sea Siren and Chronos to remain at this base and engage the incoming enemy!"

Steve was stunned. He had been in the command room and had naturally observed the brutal alien's battle through the concealment device on Martian Manhunter.

"Black Sea Siren and Kronos alone are probably no match for him —"

"I am not asking them to defeat their opponents."

Amanda turned her fat face to the side and stared at Steve with her cold, triangular eyes.

"I'm just asking them to buy some time for the Sky Eye Association, and it would be even better if they could collect some of the enemy's combat data."

Steve's pupils dilated, and he instinctively wanted to disobey Amanda's orders.

After all, he had fought alongside Wonder Woman Diana, so he had a fondness for superheroes and other superhuman beings. Steve's transition from an air force officer to the commander of the Sky Eye was precisely to become a bridge connecting government forces and the Justice League.

Although Wonder Woman, whom he secretly admired, had left the Justice League, Steve's conscience was not extinguished.

"Colonel Steve Trevor, do you intend to disobey orders?"

Seeing Steve fall silent, Amanda Waller grew impatient and threatened him in an angry voice.

Steve avoided Amanda's gaze, lowered his head, and gritted his teeth.

"This is a completely pointless sacrifice!"

"Their meaning lies in obeying my orders!"

"What do you consider human life to be? Just consumables?"

Amanda narrowed her triangular eyes, pulled a pistol from the shadows, and quietly aimed it at Steve's chest.

If Amanda could only rage helplessly because she was powerless to do anything when Martian Manhunter contradicted her before, being contradicted by Steve again this time completely ignited the powder keg in Amanda's heart.

Although she knew that Steve and Wonder Woman had some personal friendship, this was a secret escape point anyway. She could kill Steve silently and then pin his death on the alien who was about to invade the Sky Eye Society.

This is a perfect opportunity to divert Wonder Woman's anger and let her fight that damn alien!

Just as Amanda pressed her index finger toward the trigger, an invisible wave, accompanied by a sharp whistle, struck the inside of Amanda's wrist.

The immense force sent Amanda's pistol flying; the small, silver handgun struck the edge of the car door and fired with a bang.

The gunshots startled Steve, who was still in the midst of disobeying his superior's orders for the first time. He stared at Amanda in disbelief, unable to believe that she was going to kill him.

A cold, aloof figure kicked open the ventilation duct's fence, jumped down from the top of the hidden tunnel, and blocked the black bread truck.

It turned out to be the Black Sea Siren that Amanda had originally planned to abandon.

Looking at the seemingly unassuming but actually highly capable vehicle that could withstand even a barrage of submachine gun fire without taking damage, Black Siren tossed her golden hair and a smile played on her lips.

"Excuse me, why didn't you take me and Kronos with you during the emergency evacuation?"

Amanda gritted her teeth and clutched her wrist, ignoring Steve's distraught questioning beside her, her mind racing.

The other party is a superhuman. Regardless of how they discovered the hidden evacuation point, calming them down is the top priority.

"Really? I thought Commander Steve had sent you all out on assignment."

Amanda skillfully shifted the blame onto Steve, attempting to divert Black Siren's initial anger at discovering she had been abandoned.

Then he pointed to himself with his remaining finger.

"To completely leave the extraction point, I still need to verify your identity at the entrance at the end of the tunnel—I admire you. If you take out Commander Steve, I'll take you out, and from then on, you'll be my right-hand man!"

Steve, already deeply shaken, stared wide-eyed as if he were seeing this dark-skinned woman for the first time.

He looked nervously at the Black Sea Siren, raising his hand as if to defend himself.

But the Black Siren chuckled and raised her hand to remove the mask from her face.

"Black canary?"

Steve's explanation seamlessly turned into a surprised shout.

"I'm sorry, he's a friend of my best friend, and I don't think I can bring myself to do it."

Amanda, who had suffered setbacks several times in a row, was now as black as the bottom of a pot. Even with her quick reflexes, she couldn't think of a way out for herself at this moment.

Just as Black Canary took two steps forward, preparing to subdue Amanda, a tremendous commotion suddenly erupted.

Steve was thrown off by the shaking ground, while Amanda clung tightly to her seat to regain her balance. Her gaze swept across the black canary in front of her, who was also trying to steady herself amidst the earthquake-like tremors. The obese Amanda displayed the most agile effort she had ever made in her life.

She jumped directly from the back seat to the driver's seat, ignoring the large bump on her head from hitting the windshield, and immediately slammed on the gas after starting the engine.

The black canary, unable to stand steadily, saw the bread truck heading straight for it and had no choice but to roll to the side to avoid it.

As the earthquake subsided, the black canary turned its head to watch the bread truck drive away, and opened its beak as if to emit a sound wave to overturn it.

But Steve, who had just gotten up from the ground, suddenly lunged at her and covered her mouth with his hand.

"No, don't shout, we can't be noticed!"

Although Steve also wished he could give Amanda a Mozambique shooting drill, the earthquake just now was enough to prove that the terrifying alien had arrived at the Sky Eye Association.

Once the Black Canary's cry is released with super-sonic waves, this originally hidden underground space may no longer be so hidden.

Just as the two were watching the black bread van disappear into the end of the tunnel, a strange fluctuation flashed by, and then the black bread van, which was almost at the tunnel entrance, suddenly rolled back a bit.

Black Canary and Steve were both taken aback.

Amanda, who was inside the car, was also dumbfounded and immediately stepped on the gas pedal.

The black bread van's engine roared low as it sped toward the tunnel entrance.

This time she successfully reached the end of the tunnel, and the surrounding cameras immediately recognized Amanda's identity, and the door opened silently.

Just as she was about to escape, that strange fluctuation flashed again, and in the blink of an eye, Amanda found herself back at the location she had been hundreds of meters away from. The door that had been slightly ajar was now tightly closed in the distance.

Black Canary couldn't hold back and turned her head to shake off Steve's hand.

"Hahaha! Serves you right! It's Kronos' time reversal device—ooh~"

Steve looked at his hand, which had inexplicably ended up on the black canary's beak, and was completely exasperated.

Meanwhile, Green Arrow, who was crouching low inside the Sky Eye Bureau base, frantically running and searching for his wife, helplessly watched as he returned to the place he had just run through.

Although Black Canary seemed to have entered a place where signals were blocked, Green Arrow could still roughly deduce the other party's location based on the previous location data.

But if things go backwards like this several times in a row, who knows where my wife will run off to next?

He finally couldn't hold back and cursed angrily.

"What kind of ability is this—"
