Chapter 170 Two-Star Lightning

"Do you really think it's the right decision for me to be here at the watchtower right now?"

When the emperor killed Eagle Knight, he had not yet revealed his true form; he was using Li Zhen's appearance.

Li Zhen had a clear conscience, but she was worried that the Eagle Knight might experience a stress reaction upon seeing his appearance due to the shock of death.

"It might be a bit complicated to explain."

Steelbone's voice rang out again after a long while, but the surprise in his tone was gone.

He had clearly muted his microphone and spoken with the newly appeared Hawkman for a while.

"He's not the Hawkman we know, but he said he did have a memory flooding his mind of being 'killed' by you, but I've already explained it."

"Yeah?"

When Li Zhen stepped back into the watchtower, she was greeted by an incredibly lively scene.

Superman is comforting the white Kryptonian dog. The little guy is very lively and seems very affectionate towards Superman.

But a lively little dog certainly doesn't know how to control its strength, and clear paw prints were left on part of the watchtower's ground.

Li Zhen could even see an irregular gap chewed into one of the conference table legs, the aviation-grade metal shell chewed into a lump of scrap iron and spat out to the side, still covered with a crystal-clear liquid.

The plastic figure stretched its neck like a spring, wrapping around Batman as he carefully placed the dial into the storage box.

He kept muttering to himself.

"Aren't you being a little too cautious? This thing doesn't look like it's worth much at the junkyard."

Several people surrounded Hawkman, who had "come back to life," and the latter looked bewildered and helpless.

He couldn't quite understand why everyone cared so much about him. For this Hawkman, the memory of being killed by Janet was more like a scene that suddenly popped into his mind, and he had only witnessed it from a peculiar third-person perspective.

Li Zhen's arrival attracted the attention of some people, and Green Arrow made some room for her.

"Carter, do you still recognize him?"

Li Zhen looked at Hawkman, but the latter did not meet his gaze, instead looking at Green Arrow with a strange expression.

"What did you call me?"

"Carter, what's wrong?"

Hawkman gave a somewhat awkward smile.

"I am now even more certain that I am not the one you know. Although I have memories of fighting alongside you, my name is Katar, not Carter."

The once bustling watchtower fell silent for a moment.

Batman, having saved the dial pad, stood up and looked at Hawkman, who stood there somewhat bewildered.

"It seems that the definition of this so-called 'people who should exist but do not exist' is even broader. Some people who died prematurely in our world will also be considered as people who should exist and incorporated into our universe as long as they are still alive in another world."

Batman frowned in thought, then looked up at everyone with a very serious expression.

"If that's the case, then the time-travel camera we made before probably won't be able to capture the full picture of the changes that are about to happen in the world."

"If the Hawkman from another world could inherit a portion of the experiences and memories of the Hawkman from our world—"

Has anyone else discovered they have extra memories?

Upon hearing this, everyone looked at each other in bewilderment.

After a long silence, except for Cyborg who raised his hand first, he could easily distinguish the differences in his own memories with his supercomputing brain. After all, those things were in his storage disk, and even marked with the date and specific time.

The others all wore blank, unchanging expressions.

Superman stroked the little white dog with one hand and touched the back of his head with the other.

"How can we be aware that we might have extra memories? Hawkman can have Jeanne d'Arc." As a point of difference, if we in another world have similar experiences to those in this world, it would probably be difficult to detect.

"We can use Li Zhen as a dividing point, but the most important thing is to capture the asymmetrical details in our memories."

""

Batman pointed directly at Lee Jung.

"ha?"

Li Zhen shrugged, tacitly agreeing with this statement.

After all, he doesn't exist in the normal New 52 universe.

This time, Shazam was the first to react after only ten seconds.

"Wait, Solomon reminded me that there's a conflicting memory in my mind."

Shazam glanced at Li Zhen, but quickly turned his gaze back to Cyborg.

"But it has nothing to do with Gente — hey, I seem to have a memory of being crazy about Victor playing rugby, I idolized him, but I never had any posters of him in my room."

Steelbone was taken aback by the sound, and a hint of nostalgia appeared on his face.

"Rugby? I did dream of being a rugby star before I became like this."

Superman quickly realized what was happening.

"I have two conflicting memories of dates in my mind. One is when Jeanne was training with Diana, and the other is when I seemed to be dating Diana during that time?"

Upon hearing this, the Justice League members, who had been earnestly recalling the events, began to boo.

Superman blushed, lowered his head, and then looked at Li Zhen with some confusion.

"So, if he hadn't come to Earth, I might have ended up with Diana?"

Li Zhen stared in disbelief, waving her hands repeatedly.

"How can you pin this on me? I remember you clearly said you had a girlfriend when you were talking to me at the beach last time."

Superman coughed.

"That time, I actually said it on purpose. A female colleague asked me if I was free on the weekend, but I declined because I was busy with my Superman career. Then I met you, and I said that to save face. Actually, I've always been single."

Seeing the look of disdain in Li Zhen's eyes, Superman felt a little embarrassed, but quickly became eloquent again.

"There's no rule that says Superman can't lie, and besides, I was just exaggerating a little."

Now no one had a chance to properly recall what had happened. Most people were shocked by Superman's statement, and even the Plastic Man started whistling.

Even Green Arrow, who usually shares Batman's serious style, was chuckling and rubbing his beard.

Batman was somewhat helpless as Superman led the memory self-test astray.

"This will likely be a long-term project."

"Wait a moment."

Suddenly, Steelbone raised its head, its blue electronic eyes flashing.

"The Flash sent a distress signal, saying that two more Flashes had suddenly appeared in his house, and both of them were named Wally West."
