Chapter 172 Water Girl

Rachel tentatively proposed some ways to make use of the ninth-floor space.

"Dining room?"

Li Zhen quietly pointed to the spot where she was standing.

"The living area on the fifth floor has it. You just didn't go all the way to the end. Also, the kitchen of that restaurant is huge, with a wide variety of kitchen utensils, which can even meet the cooking styles of different countries."

"Armory?"

"There's a section between the third and fourth floors that was specifically opened up for this purpose. They were reluctant to give us fighter jets, but they did give us a lot of strange and unusual equipment."

"—Meditation room."

"Putting aside whether all the children have a habit of meditation, shouldn't this be a relatively private activity? Shouldn't it be enough for each person to do it in their own room?"

Rachel, with her neck stiff, was clearly expressing her dissatisfaction in her own way, now that she was more outgoing than before.

"What's wrong with everyone meditating together?"

Li Zhen seized the opportunity to ruffle Rachel's hair. After all, if they were to live in Teen Titans regularly, it wouldn't be appropriate to be so openly affectionate in front of others.

"It's not that meditation is bad, it's just that this place is so spacious, and being on the top floor with such good lighting, a group of people often sit cross-legged in a circle here to meditate, and occasionally they even burn incense or something —"

This time, without Li Zhenming saying anything, Rachel, who now surfs the internet quite often, realized it herself.

A group of people sat in a circle under soft light, their eyes closed as they chanted incantations, with wisps of smoke swirling around them.

If you have a slight illusion of that feeling, someone who doesn't know better might think that this place is organizing some kind of shady activity.

It can only be said that, apart from temples and churches, any group activity with religious connotations in the United States seems to be full of curiosity and morbid curiosity.

"How about we build a movie theater?"

"You've definitely started offering advice without thinking. The entertainment area is downstairs on this floor, with drinks, movies, karaoke, parties, and games."

Li Zhen picked up Rachel, who was still somewhat unconvinced, and carried her on her shoulder, preparing to take her downstairs.

The toiletries I packed at the beach cottage are still in Rachel's magical space. It's getting late, so I'd better choose my room as soon as possible, get everything set up, and get some rest.

Rachel rested quietly on Li Zhen's shoulder, frowning and deep in thought, her head and toes bobbing in rhythm with Li Zhen's steps.

As soon as she entered the elevator, she suddenly raised her head again.

"I've got it! Let's build a library!"

Li Zhen's face darkened.

"Reading books? Oh my god, I hate that the most. As one of the main people in charge of the Teen Titans project, I unilaterally reject your unpleasant suggestion."

Rachel, on the other hand, began to chuckle coldly.

"Books are food for the soul; reading more books can help calm your soul."

Li Zhen didn't refute, but simply shrugged her shoulders, turned Rachel around, and gently tapped her on the head.

The two ultimately chose two rooms at the end of the east-facing corridor on the fifth floor.

Rachel finally managed to shift her attention away from the unused ninth floor, and while rummaging through the magical space, she pondered how to arrange the room.

After all, this is the standardized dormitory for Teen Titans, not the private little house that she and Lee Jung could design freely back then.

-

The walls and ceiling were all white, lacking the gloomy atmosphere that Rachel was used to.

As for Li Zhen, he hardly needed any arrangements.

It was done after just slightly moving some things around the room and laying out the bed that Rachel had packed up in the magic space.

It still maintains the ultra-minimalist style of Wittrum's elite dorm rooms, except for that refrigerator that looks out of place no matter where you put it.

There was no way around it; Rachel insisted on bringing this refrigerator along, and instead of putting it in her own room, she specifically crammed it into Li Zhen's room, saying it was to help Li Zhen store the dried seafood she couldn't finish.

Yes.

Li Zhen opened the double doors of the refrigerator and looked at the crammed-full container of dried seafood, feeling utterly devastated.

After mastering the skills of catching fish in the sea, perhaps to get revenge on Tom/Black Man for the time he teased her, Li Zhen enjoyed catching fish for a long time.

Sometimes, just to show off to Rachel, he would even swim far away to catch some strange and rare fish.

At the time, Li Zhen had considered that there might be too many fish to eat, and even told Rachel that if she got tired of looking at them, she could release them back into the wild.

Unexpectedly, the girl turned all of his fish into dried fish.

In addition, because of the magical storage space, Li Zhen has never been able to figure out exactly how much dried seafood Rachel made and stored back then.

Since the incident with the emperor ended, Lee Jung has been eating dried fish for four months now, and the refrigerator is still overflowing with it.

"If we eat like this for another two months, it'll be almost as long as the time we spent eating bugs on that planet during our extreme training."

Li Zhen used one hand to hold back the other dried fish that were staring at him with dead fish eyes so they wouldn't fall out, while pulling out two medium-sized dried fish from among them.

With a bang, Li Zhen slammed the refrigerator shut. While weighing the dried fish in her hand, she wondered whether she should go up to the other side of the fifth floor to try out the new kitchen.

He glanced at Rachel, who was tinkering around inside and outside the dormitory with the door wide open.

"Steelbow said he's bought every kind of seasoning available on the market—aren't you tired of the Chinese-style spicy and numbing flavor? How about trying the Mexican hot sauce-marinated flavor?"

"I'm fine with either."

Rachel's muffled voice came from the dormitory, sounding as if she was struggling with the blanket.

A clear notification tone suddenly sounded from the single earpiece that Li Zhen had been wearing all along.

Li Zhen casually tucked the two dried fish behind her waist, then turned off the notification sound and went downstairs to check.

Under the pitch-black night, for the first time, Aquaman, not wearing his flamboyant golden scale armor, was dressed in a leather jacket and jeans, leading a girl with a high ponytail and blue eyes, standing very politely outside the Teen Titans' base.

Li Zhen had already seen the girl's information beforehand. She was Tula, a water-going girl, one of the second generation on the fixed list, and was said to be a girl adopted by the Atlantis royal family.

The door opened, and Tula looked at Li Zhen with considerable curiosity. Of course, Tula's gaze wasn't exactly friendly; rather, it was somewhat scrutinizing.

Li Zhen didn't care. After all, the aftermath of her sparring with the Sea King had kept the entire Atlantis awake all night, and then a crisis of trust broke out. Atlantis's impression of land people must have deteriorated a lot.

Li Zhen glanced at Tula and then greeted the Sea King.

"This team won't be officially formed until the day after tomorrow, and I thought most people would choose to come tomorrow."

Aquaman gently pressed Tura's shoulder with his large hand, seemingly to soothe the girl who couldn't completely hide the nervousness brought on by the unfamiliar environment.

"She rarely leaves the ocean, and I think she might need more time to get used to the land environment—please take good care of her in the future."

Li Zhen glanced at the mountaineering backpack that was as tall as a person on Tula's back and nodded to Tula.

"Come in, let me show you around."

For some reason, he suddenly had the illusion that he had become a kindergarten teacher.
