Chapter 175 Arriving One After Another

"This, this is my room?"

Looking at Ma Er, who was dizzy from being dazzled by the bright dormitory, Li Zhen nodded gently.

He knew why the boy was excited. This dormitory, with each person having a room of over 600 square feet, was twice the size of the small, dilapidated slum where Ma had lived for more than ten years.

Even though Mal was very concerned about his image, he had never seen it before. He stood at the dormitory entrance with his tattered boxing gloves, his surprise turning into unease.

I didn't dare to step inside.

Seeing the poor kid's embarrassed appearance, Li Zhen raised an eyebrow and casually introduced him.

"Completely free, including a seven-story training facility and an eight-story entertainment facility; the Justice League will cover all expenses for food, clothing, accommodation, and transportation."

.

Mar's mouth dropped open, even though he hadn't had a chance to visit any of the areas besides the dormitory.

But just the sight he saw when he stepped into the lobby on the first floor, and the exquisitely clean dormitory floor that he couldn't bear to step on, allowed him to fully imagine how wonderful the other supporting facilities would be.

Looking at the dazed Mar, Li Zhen slightly turned her head and glanced at Mia, who had just entered, chosen her dormitory, put away her things, and was already familiar with the other areas. Mia's golden ponytail disappeared at the end of the corridor.

He leaned his head forward slightly and told Mar in a gentle voice.

"You can enjoy all the facilities at the Teen Titans base for free, but this is not without a time limit."

"The Justice League's requirement of me is to train you into qualified warriors, and I only have one requirement for you."

"Complete, even surpass, all the training I designed for you."

Mar was jolted back to his senses from his excitement and hurriedly nodded.

But Li Zhen had already turned and left, leaving Ma Er with only one sentence.

"Don't rush to make any promises. I only look at one person's actions. Most of the people who are supposed to come tomorrow have arrived. You can do whatever you want with the rest of today."

Ma Er swallowed back the promise he was about to shout with all his might. He watched Li Zhen's departing figure with excitement, his fists clenching silently.

The boy's eyes blazed with fury, and he began to shout in his heart.

He was unaware that Li Zhen had played a word game with him. The increasingly cunning Witrum warriors on Earth made the boy believe that he would be eliminated if he couldn't withstand the training.

In fact, as an instructor, Li Zhen did not have the authority to arbitrarily expel people from the Teen Titans, and besides, Li Zhen could not possibly be the only instructor of the future Teen Titans.

If Batman dares to divide his hefty reward into periods exceeding one year, Li Zhen is ready to storm the Batcave to collect the debt.

Paying back debts is a matter of course, and even Superman has no reason to stop him.

As the day passed, the people on the list arrived at the Teen Titans base one after another.

Jaime Reyes, the Blue Beetle, flew over on his own. The boy had only recently acquired this alien technology armor and was clearly showing off.

Cassandra Cain had the most impressive presence; as a troubled girl with obvious physical defects, the entire Bat family surprisingly came out in force.

They were delivered in stealth batarangs, and before landing, you could see the oracle giving Cassandra constant instructions.

Even Batman, who is usually quiet, hummed a few words in support.

It's probably because of the last time Cassandra clung to Li Zhen's arm and wouldn't let go, that even the usually elusive and busy Batman became a little uneasy.

Tim, who jumped off the plane first, had his luggage carried by Nightwing and went into Titan Tower to choose a dormitory.

Donna Troy was delivered by Wonder Woman. Teacher Prince had bought a car at some point. One of them could fly and the other could scale walls, so they ended up driving themselves.

Diana also chatted with Lee Jung for a few minutes, but didn't directly mention taking care of Donna; however, it was clearly a hint.

Lilith was in a Chrysler that was clearly Roland's private car, but Roland didn't come in person; instead, he sent a driver to help pick her up and carry her luggage.

However, Li Zhen did not let Roland's driver in, but instead asked Lilith to find a way to get the luggage in herself.

This is a complete stranger, whose identity is hard to determine.

This adopted daughter of one of America's top billionaires was somewhat dumbfounded, as she had brought the most luggage of all.

Kara arrived a little later, escorted by Superman in the afterglow of the setting sun. She looked somewhat reluctant, but her expression softened slightly after seeing Lee Jung.

After landing, while Superman and Li Zhen were catching up, they took the opportunity to help Lilith, who had already made two trips and was panting heavily, carry the remaining bags and boxes.

As for Shazam, Lee Jung didn't see him at all.

Although it wouldn't be a problem to arrive at the location before the next day's assembly, Li Zhen gradually realized that the most difficult people to manage in this base might not be the second-generation superheroes he initially thought.

Rather, he is a magical superhero who still cannot shake off his status as a "proper adult superhero" in his mind.

After briefly explaining the precautions to each of the boys and girls entering the base, Li Zhen, who had been guarding the entrance, turned around and went back to her dormitory.

As expected, Cassandra, though more restrained than the last time they met, still quietly chose to live in the dormitory opposite Li Zhen's.

As Li Zhen stood at the dormitory door, ready to swipe her card to open it, she heard the sound of sliding doors opening from her side and behind her.

Cassandra stared at Li Zhen, while Rachel stood at the door with her arms crossed, staring at Cassandra.

Cassandra sensed Rachel's cold gaze and turned to meet her eyes again.

The two girls, who had no connections or income, just stared at each other without saying a word.

Li Zhen stood stiffly at the door, silently counting to three. After realizing that nothing had changed, she looked up and sighed.

He put the room key back in his pocket and then made a suggestion.

"How about we all go grab a late-night snack? I'll cook, and we can start our conversation over dinner?"

—Another three seconds of silence.

But what happened next was somewhat unexpected for Li Zhen.

Cassandra suddenly turned back into the room, then brought out a chess set and gestured at Rachel.

Rachel silently stepped aside, and Li Zhen watched as Cassandra scurried into Rachel's room.

Rachel glanced at Li Zhen, then shrank back, and the door clicked shut.

"Did they communicate about anything just now?"

Li Zhen stood there for a moment, stunned, then looked down and took out her room card to examine it.

Since you've already said you'd go for a late-night snack, you might as well just go and eat it before going back to your room.

I've been eating too much salted dried fish lately, so it's time to change things up.

Li Zhen lifted her shirt to glance at her still-defined abs, then without a word, she slipped into the restaurant at the other end of the corridor.

Before the real nanny, Steel Bone, arrived, the only ingredients the restaurant could use were frozen foods and some canned goods from the freezer. After picking and choosing for a long time, I made myself a plate of stir-fried noodles and a plate of pan-fried steak, and also grabbed a can of energy drink and put it under my armpit.

Holding her late-night snack, Li Zhen decided to go check out the other floors.

After all, it's unlikely that a group of teenagers under the age of eighteen would go to bed that early.

Sure enough, several room doors on the sixth floor of the dormitory area were open.

Kara, Donna, and Tula were chatting together. None of the three were of ordinary human blood, and Kara had spent some time on Paradise Island, so the three of them had quite a few things in common.

Seeing Li Zhen, the nominal instructor, approach, the three of them unconsciously lowered their voices.

Li Zhen counted the number of dormitory doors without lights on, then lowered her head and slurped up a mouthful of noodles.

"Is everyone else asleep?"

Kara, the only one who was relatively familiar with Li Zhen, shook her head.

"Only Lilith is asleep; she's exhausted. Everyone else has gone upstairs."
