Li Zhen still found it somewhat unbelievable.

"As soon as I arrived, I thought of asking you something, but because you went into seclusion so early, you just happen to be the one least affected by the unseen forces?"

What a coincidence that it's possible to find the solution in one go when everything is completely unknown.

Doctor Fate, however, thought it was perfectly reasonable.

"Buddy, my title is Destiny, but even I can't escape it, so you're just a product of destiny."

"Can you please stop being so disgusting? You know I really hate this..."

Li Zhen suddenly had a whimsical idea.

"What if I come into this world and discover something amiss, and my first thought is to go find Constantine? I don't only know you as a magician."

Doctor Fate sighed with a hint of helplessness.

"Then there's only one outcome: Constantine probably hasn't shaken off the effects either. You'll come back to me after you fail once."

"In one world, Constantine and Batman both fell victim to this without a trace. Are you kidding me?"

Li Zhen slammed his fist on the table and stood up. He expressed strong disbelief, and therefore he was going to find Constantine in this world right now.

Afterwards, Li Zhen decisively stated that she wanted to leave the mage tower.

Doctor Fate gestured for him to proceed.

Because it was only a short trip, Li Zhen did not forcibly take Luo Bo away.

Rob was also busy at the moment, as he was enjoying the magical cookies that Doctor Fate had offered him.

It's really interesting to eat it with a kind of mystical coffee; you can see little people in it.

Li Zhen glanced at Robert's dazed look, said nothing, and turned to leave.

As for Li Zhen wanting to find Constantine in this world, that would be even easier.

If the Encore symbol is useful, then the blood pact he made with another Constantine should also work in this world.

Soon, Li Zhen found Constantine's traces in this world.

He searched all the way and arrived in Liverpool, England.

After spending more than half an hour in Liverpool, Li Zhen returned to Doctor Fate's mage tower with a look of utter disbelief. Doctor Fate, on the other hand, became somewhat curious.

His foresight about the future could only provide some rough directions, and was not specific to begin with. Moreover, Constantine himself was a powerful magician, so it was even less likely that Doctor Fate could see clearly what the other party was going to do.

"So what exactly did you see?"

Li Zhen did not answer.

It's hard to describe his feelings.

During that great battle, Green Lantern Kirowog's body flew through the air, transforming into a meteor from outer space, and landed right in Liverpool, England.

A house was reduced to ruins, and Constantine's rented house happened to be nearby. He was horrified by his daughter John Rose, who was being fostered there.

The little girl's adoptive parents also died in the disaster.

After Constantine performed a series of acts of necrophilia on Kilowog that were consistent with Li Zhen's understanding, he embraced his terrified daughter.

Then Li Zhen heard Constantine swear to his daughter that he would abandon this world and take her to a safer paradise to live in.

The main character's personality didn't change much, and some of his moral failings even exceeded expectations. But Li Zhen just felt that this version of Constantine was really too strange.

"He seems like a pretty good father?"

Li Zhen barely managed to squeeze out a comment.

"This is change, a Superman who is often irritable and easily angered, a Batman who is so stubborn that he refuses to change, and a Constantine who has a father's love."

After Dr. Fate nodded, he began to give examples.

"Everyone is like this, seemingly insignificant, but a million coincidences linked together keep pushing this world into the abyss."

Li Zhen raised a new question.

"If their path was altered midway, wouldn't Batman and Constantine have noticed the changes in themselves?"

"I don't have the courage to make a definitive statement on this point. I can't say whether it's something that everyone is born this way or something that has been subtly changed over a long period of time."

Doctor Fate looked at Lee Jung.

"You come from another world, so you know what Superman, Batman, and even Constantine were supposed to be like."

"And what about you?" Doctor Fate paused for a moment.

"If you want to judge whether I was fortunate enough to avoid this situation, you should at least have a basic impression of me. But judging from our reaction when we first met, you haven't seen what kind of Doctor Fate I should be under normal circumstances."

Li Zhen wanted to say more, but saw that Doctor Fate suddenly paused.

"I forgot to close the door again."

The wooden door of the mage tower, which was supposed to be purely decorative, was gently knocked on.

Doctor Fate seemed to have become numb to the ways fate was driving him, and with a decisive wave of his hand, he opened the wooden door.

Amidst a dazzling golden light, Constantine, holding John Rose's hand, stood suspended in mid-air.

The old man, now bearing the responsibilities of a father, did not have the frivolous smile that Li Zhen was familiar with; in fact, he appeared somewhat cautious.

"I've come to pay a visit, um, Dr. Fate."

Constantine sized up Li Zhen, becoming somewhat wary of this unfamiliar figure.

Then, upon seeing the infamous Rob the Wolf, he hid his daughter behind his back.

With the permission of Doctor Fate, he then entered the mage tower, which existed independently of the cosmic dimension. Constantine first asked for a cup of hot tea for his daughter before explaining his purpose.

"The war between Superman and Batman is getting out of hand; there's hardly a safe and peaceful place in the world."

With a wave of his hand, Dr. Fate served Li Zhen and Robert a cup of hot tea each. Robert, who had a cookie stuck in his mouth, quickly picked up his cup and took a big gulp, after which his pale face scrunched up.

He clearly doesn't like this drink.

"If you want to have that girl stay with me, I'm afraid I can't help you unless you're willing to let her be exposed to magic from a young age."

Constantine looked at Rose, who was squatting on the stall, taking small bites of cookies, and his eyes revealed a tenderness that made Li Zhen feel like she had eaten shit.

"Good heavens, magic is no good thing. That's why I entrusted her to a foster family when I was young. I wanted her to stay away from us...unfortunate people."

Constantine glanced at Li Zhen again, stealthily.

"I've been feeling a strange gaze lately, but I can't figure out where it's coming from. It feels a bit like a demon, or like a god I don't recognize at all."

Constantine raised his teacup and then put it down, clearly feeling uneasy about Li Zhen's presence.

"Just like, just like this guest of yours—it's strange, we've never met before, yet you possess the aura of both gods and demons."

Li Zhen hadn't expected the conversation to turn to her. "What do you mean? You mean I'm the mastermind behind this?"

Constantine quickly waved his hand.

"No, no, no, I just meant that the feeling was similar to yours, but you are clearly on the path of the Greek gods, and that gaze is much more obscure and difficult to understand."

To put it bluntly, you can't tell their background; even the well-informed Constantine couldn't tell.

Doctor Fate nodded in agreement.

"I've had this feeling lately too, and that might be one of the reasons why the world is endangered."

Constantine rubbed his hands together.

"So I'm thinking of finding some help to dig that guy out. Doctor Fate, and this completely unfamiliar Greek god, what do you two think?"

A silence fell over the room.

Doctor Fate's helmet perfectly concealed the changes in his eyes and expression, so no one could tell what he was thinking.

Li Zhen was comparing the information revealed by Constantine and Dr. Fate respectively.

The little girl, Rose, ate her biscuit cautiously, gazing at her biological father. Although it was the first time she had met him, she felt an inexplicable force compelling her to trust him. "Hiccup."

Rob held up the plate he had emptied.

"Those cookies are good. Could I have some more to pack up? I think they would go well with one of the base spirits at Black Hole Bar."

The atmosphere was broken when Doctor Fate tapped the back of his other hand with his finger, filling Rob's plate with another plate of cookies.

"I have no objection."

Li Zhen then stood up.

"I also want to see who that guy is."
