Old Deng is reborn in the 1980s, and he starts by severing his father-son relationship!

Chapter 35 Departure! Chen Limei's In-Laws' Home!

Chen Deshun raised an eyebrow, braced himself on the ground, and glared back at him: "Want me to slap you in the face?"

Startled, Chen Jianshe instinctively backed away, muttering under his breath, "Dad, why do you hit people so easily these days? I wasn't even trying to reason with you! I haven't said anything yet!"

"I'm afraid you'll say something you'll regret for the rest of your life, and then it will be too late to beg for mercy."

Chen Deshun snorted coldly, too lazy to waste any more words with him: "You two hurry up, get in the car, let's go."

He urged me on, ready to step on the pedal.

"Dad, should I come with you?"

The fourth brother, Chen Sanqi, came out of the room at some point and stood at the door asking.

Chen Jianye chuckled: "Fourth brother, you know what we're going to do but you're just joining in the fun. Hurry up and go back to your room to do your homework."

"Exactly, exactly, they want to join in on every kind of excitement," Chen Jianshe chimed in.

Chen Deshun's gaze fell on his youngest son, looking him up and down, and he stroked his chin.

Fat and strong, underage...

He didn't answer immediately, but instead asked, "Have you finished your homework?"

"I finished writing it at school," Chen Sanqi replied.

"Okay, let's go together then." Chen Deshun nodded in agreement.

More people mean more strength; if we don't need them, we can just consider them as accessories.

After saying that, he looked at Chen Jianshe, who was sitting on the back of Chen Jianye's bicycle: "Third brother, you sit on the back of my bike."

Chen Jianshe jumped out of his second brother's car and got into Chen Deshun's car.

Chen Deshun glanced at Chen Sanqi, who was as fat as a ball: "Fourth brother, go and ride in the second brother's car."

"Dad, he's so heavy, I can't even ride this bike." Chen Jianye said reluctantly, trying to refuse.

With Lao Si's physique, what's the difference between carrying him and hauling a truckload of cement? Isn't this just trying to kill him?

"If you can't ride, run."

Chen Deshun glared at him, not giving him a chance to bargain, and with a push of his foot, he sped off with Lao San on his back.

Watching his father and third brother drive away, and then looking at his chubby fourth brother, Chen Jianye felt his legs go weak. He took a deep breath, and all his helplessness turned into a sigh.

There was no other way but to resign myself to letting the fourth brother sit in the back seat. The car groaned under the strain, and it felt as if the tires had sunk a little deeper.

Chen Jianye strained with all his might, and the car finally started to move, wobbling as he tried to catch up with Chen Deshun ahead.

The night breeze was cool, and the bicycle bumped along the potholed dirt road.

Exhausted and panting, Chen Jianye finally caught up. The two cars drove side-by-side, and he asked breathlessly, "Dad, when we get there, do you have any plans?"

He had a feeling that today's trip wouldn't be a good one, so he decided to sound out his father's opinion first before making any plans.

"When we get there, listen to me and act according to the situation," Chen Deshun said calmly, without looking to the side.

Chen Jianshe in the back seat started chattering away, offering suggestions. One minute he suggested rushing in and taking things, the next he suggested making a scene at the door – all of which were low-class and illegal blunders.

"Shut up! If you say another word of nonsense, just walk over there yourself."

Chen Deshun's head was throbbing from hearing this. If he weren't riding a bike, he would have kicked him off the bike.

Chen Jianshe immediately fell silent.

The car turned a corner and passed the alley ahead; we were almost at Chen Limei's house.

Chen Deshun slowed down the car and turned back to remind the group, "Remember, no matter what happens at your eldest sister's house, use words, not fists, understand?"

Chen Jianye was puzzled. If you're not going to take action, why bring your fourth son, this "ballast," along? But he didn't dare say it aloud. Instead, he asked, "Dad, we're trying to reason with them, but my eldest sister's in-laws might not be. What if they resort to violence?"

The third brother waved his fist: "What else can we do? Fight him, of course!"

Although the fourth brother didn't say anything, he clearly agreed. Yesterday's battle with his sister-in-law had boosted his confidence.

"Alright, shut up, all of you. I wasted my breath just now. If anyone dares to lay a hand on me, don't blame me if anything goes wrong."

Chen Deshun rolled his eyes at the third brother, thinking that he deserved to be so unsuccessful, being both incompetent and pretentious.

Chen Jianye pondered Chen Deshun's words carefully, lost in thought.

"Dad, we're not there yet, why did we stop?"

"Get out of the car!" Chen Deshun stopped the car and urged.

He had to prepare for the worst. If a conflict broke out, it wouldn't matter if people got hurt, but if the borrowed car was damaged, it would be hard to explain to the neighbors.

I pushed the car to an old locust tree at the entrance of the village and locked it before walking inside.

Chen Limei lived in a very old, dilapidated area near the suburbs, much worse than the Chen family courtyard.

Huang Xumin's family had a large number of people, and their house was smaller than Chen Deshun's. The entire family of eight squeezed into three small bungalows.

When Chen Limei got married, they didn't even have a separate bridal chamber. They just put up a curtain in the house and partitioned off a space for the couple to have their own little nest.

Chen Limei wasn't used to it at first, but she really liked Huang Xumin, and soon she adapted to this kind of life.

Every day I go to work, and when I get home I have to take care of my whole family.

For example, right now, after washing all the dishes and chopsticks for the whole family, I'm not idle. I'm squatting in front of the washboard, laboriously scrubbing a large basin of clothes.

"Big sister!"

Chen Jianshe stood at the gate of the courtyard and called out to the inside with a smile.

Chen Limei's mother-in-law's yard is small. The front room is a kitchen and a bedroom, and the back room is a bedroom and a storage room. The whole space is crammed full, with almost no room to move.

Hearing someone call her name, Chen Limei stopped what she was doing, looked up and saw Chen Deshun and her three younger brothers, and was slightly taken aback.

"Dad, why did you come here?"

Her husband's family and her parents' family weren't far apart, but her father could only visit once a year, let alone bring his three younger brothers to visit.

"Of course I walked here," Chen Deshun replied irritably.

Chen Limei stood up from beside the laundry tub, walked around, and asked with a puzzled look, "Dad, I'm asking what you're doing here!"

Chen Deshun snorted: "Never mind why we're here, are you just planning to let your dad and your three younger brothers stand at the door the whole time?"

"What are you saying?" Chen Limei quickly took off the sleeves on her arms. "I was just working. Come in and sit down."

As they spoke, they ushered him into the house.

Seeing her like this, Chen Deshun felt no emotion whatsoever.

Huang Xumin is the second oldest in his family. He has an older brother, a younger brother in high school, and a younger sister in junior high school. With so many people living together, there are bound to be all sorts of messy and troublesome things.

In his memory, Chen Limei was not a diligent person. She used to never lift a finger and wouldn't even bother to pick up a fallen oil bottle.

But after marrying into the Huang family, she seemed to become a different person. I don't know what kind of bewitching potion she was given, but she was trained to be obedient.

In the past, every time Chen Deshun came to see Chen Limei, he felt uneasy. He felt that his family had never mistreated her, so why was she so eager to get married and had to come and be someone else's maid?

Now, I feel relieved.

Everyone has their own destiny; just be yourself! Let go of the urge to help others and respect their fate!

You won't turn back until you hit a wall, but once you do, you can never go back to the way things were. Stubbornness always comes at a price.

Chen Deshun grabbed the third brother, who was about to go inside, and said to Chen Limei, "Alright, we won't go in. We're here on important business today."

"What's wrong?" Chen Limei had a bad feeling.
