Chapter 171 The best souvenir is a foodie

The golden circle flashed violently.

It gives the impression that an old-fashioned television is about to burn out.

"Oh ho."

Zatana watched the black smoke rising from her fingertips, and the elegant magician's smile vanished from her face.

She shook the ring, which was starting to get hot, with some embarrassment. This magical artifact, which did not belong to her original system, obviously could not withstand the power supply from across the universe for a long time.

"Ladies and gentlemen, it seems that today's entertainment performance has come to an end."

She patted Bruce on the shoulder, reminding him that it was time to leave.

"And you, Shuen! Unless you want to stay in this world without Alford's cookies as an illegal immigrant, we have to go! Now!"

"Wait! My data! My cross-dimensional samples!"

Reed Richards even craned his neck to try and pass through the shrinking portal, before he could even ask Shuen about the biological principles behind microscopic particles or macroscopic engulfment.

"Next time! Next time for sure!"

Bruce stepped back, almost instinctively grabbing a handful of sand from the pile of rubble on the ground.

This is sand from another world, mixed with the remnants of powerful cosmic radiation. To bats, the information contained within it is more precious than gold.

"Are you really not considering taking this cake home?"

Xiu En looked at the five-tiered wedding cake that was only half a meter away from him, and the thick layer of cream on top was emitting a sweet aroma.

The portal's gravity was no longer giving him that chance; the pulling sensation of space forced him to retreat with the main force.

The golden spark ring contracted rapidly, as if the power had been cut off.

The Hawaiian sunshine and sea breeze, as well as the unfinished "see you later" from the Stone Man, were all kept at a distance on the other side of the world.

"Bang!"

Several people slumped awkwardly onto the carpet in the cabin.

Bruce clutched the small handful of sand from another world in his hand, while Zatana collapsed onto the sofa, sticking out her tongue to cool off without any regard for her image.

"We lost money."

Xiu En looked at the Anywhere Door that had completely disappeared with a regretful expression.

"I haven't eaten much yet."

On another level, however, the noise and excitement of the wedding did not stop.

The stone man stared in bewilderment at the spot where the object had vanished in an instant, yet seemed to have never existed.

The air where the luminous figure had been sitting was now slightly distorted. Although the golden light had dimmed considerably, the outline of a human figure remained stubbornly.

That was a clone that Xiu En forcibly separated before leaving using the Great Sun Projection Technique.

The clone had just separated and appeared somewhat transparent, with a semi-transparent sunflower perched on its shoulder.

"Don't just stand there, big guy."

The remaining clone, Xiu En, picked up the cake he hadn't had time to eat, while the sunflower Ivy projection on his shoulder skillfully extended its luminous tendrils and snatched away an unopened bottle of red wine from the table.

"Since the original, who was unfortunate enough to leave, we'll take care of this meal for them."

Johnny Storm is the youngest, most attention-seeking, and most childlike of the Fantastic Four superheroes.

He looked at Xiu En, whose surroundings were filled with light spots that made his nose itch, so he sneezed.

"Ah—tch!!!"

A small, crimson flame pierced through Xiu En's translucent body.

This shouldn't be considered an attack; the flame was only slightly more intense than a lighter's.

But the clone of Xiu En, who was trying to hook the strawberries on the wedding cake with his light and shadow fingers just a second ago, turned into a dazzling but tragic golden dust in this second.

Even the seemingly fierce sunflower on his shoulder couldn't escape the calamity, vanishing without a trace in the high-temperature airflow.

"Johnny!!!"

The scream Susan let out at that moment was loud enough to shatter all the champagne glasses that were still intact.

Her invisible force field opened almost reflexively, instantly swatting her brother, who had caused a terrible disaster, onto the beach like a fly.

"Oh my god, this is it."

The beer bottle that Ben Graeme was about to hand to Hugh slipped from his fingers and shattered on the ground.

"This is murder! And he seems to be some kind of god? Let the judges convict him however they want, we can't even protect that one-eyed guy from S.H.I.E.L.D. this time!"

The stone man's face was filled with the despair of someone whose newly sworn brother had been killed by their friend.

"No, it's not entirely death."

Even amidst his busy schedule, Reed Richards managed to pull out the tablet, his arm piercing through the golden dust, capturing the drifting data in the air.

"If it were true death, the energy should dissipate. But even though these photons were scattered, they still maintained a cheerful, self-aware pulse?"

"But that doesn't change the fact that your brother blew our guests away in a flash! Johnny Storm! You troublemaker!"

Just as Johnny was about to climb out of the sandpit and explain that his nose was just itchy, the gold dust in the air began to rise back.

Then, it was like a movie playing in reverse.

The golden light, which had been scattered over the resort within a few hundred meters and was enough to illuminate the entire island, converged on the cake at an extremely high speed.

First, the hem of a long robe was outlined, then the legs, followed by the slightly messy long hair that had just been scattered, and finally a face that unfortunately had been contaminated by a sneeze.

Moreover, on his left shoulder, green light spots reassembled into a sunflower.

But the plant was unusually agitated at the moment, and several of its light-energy vines, which were not yet fully formed, began to wave in the air, trying to find the culprit.

"Hey, that's really powerful!"

Xiu En spoke up.

"Although it didn't generate much buzz, I have to admit that this sneeze was quite skillful."

"Snapped!"

Before Xiu En could finish his praise, the sunflower projection on his shoulder had already given its diplomatic response.

A vine cane, like a punishment for a truant student, lashed hard across Johnny's backside.

Although the sunflower wasn't affected much, that didn't stop it from being angry, nor did it stop it from giving the Thunderbolt, who was rubbing its butt, a silent, ten-second look of contempt with its flower-shaped face that looked like trash.

"It said, if there's a next time, I'll put out your flames and use them as fertilizer."

Xiu En very considerately acted as the translator for the silent sunflower, and even ate a piece of strawberry cake while he was at it.

"It tastes good, Reed."

At that moment, everyone at the wedding, from the brilliant mind Reed to the toughest man Ben, breathed a sigh of relief.

Is this God?

Even if it's all turned to ashes, you can still piece it back together and keep eating it?

Susan silently withdrew the force field, deciding that she must properly thank these two incredibly good-tempered gods that evening.

Then.

To prevent himself from being scattered again, Xiu En began to gather light.

Every photon in the air was cheering.

Xiu En's clone is breathing.

This small, golden consciousness from another universe is absorbing sunlight.

Her body, which had appeared overly translucent due to that sneeze, was now visibly swelling with each scorching Hawaiian sun overhead.

The golden shimmer began to settle, condensing into a layer of glaze with a slightly cool texture on the skin's surface.

"Its current hardness is about three times that of ordinary alloys!"

Xiu En burped again at the sun, releasing a ring of golden solar prominences.

"Although it's not as strong as the sun at home, the sunlight here has a coconut-like smell."

"Is he rewriting the speed of light?"

This is the most scientifically unscientific statement Reed ever made.

But he had to say it.

Because in his field of vision, all the natural light was actively deflected and accelerated, then rushed into that body, but no energy was leaking out.

This violates the second law of thermodynamics.

It violates… well, screw the law.

"I told you it was a god, or some other advanced life form from another dimension."

Ben Graeme simply buried his massive stone body in the sand, holding a cocktail that was barely bigger than his thumb.

"Look, even his eating manners are so sacred?"

"Holy my foot!"

Susan rolled her eyes in annoyance. She didn't lower the force field bracelet that had been maintaining it, even after the threat was lifted.

On the shoulder of the luminous man, the plant that looked like an ordinary sunflower was supporting his chin with its leaves, catching the falling golden light fragments and helping the luminous man absorb the light.

If the vine that hadn't been pulled back wasn't pointing directly at her brother Johnny, it would indeed have been a very heartwarming scene.

"The two of you."

A dark-haired woman who had been recording data in the distance walked over.

Natasha Romanov.

The best agent in S.H.I.E.L.D.

Of course, she didn't have a gun in her hand at the moment, at least not openly.

There were only two martinis that had just been mixed at the surviving bar.

"On behalf of S.H.I.E.L.D., I deeply regret the misunderstanding that has just occurred. I am Natasha."

She tentatively offered him a glass of wine.

"This drink is called atonement, as an apology to you for that brainless fire-playing brat."

She pointed to Johnny, who was still pretending to be dead with his head buried in the sand pit in the distance.

Sunflower Ivy's clone turned its flower head toward the woman with extreme vigilance.

She instinctively smelled the scent of a highly venomous spider on this seemingly harmless female.

"Atonement?"

Shuen stopped using light to construct food.

He lowered his head, his golden eyes piercing through Natasha's acting and seeing the high-frequency energy suppressor hidden behind her waist.

He smiled.

That smile was so bright it was even more dazzling than the sun overhead.

"The name is nice, but the alcohol content is too low, and I don't really like this stuff."

"The name is nice, but the alcohol content is too low, and I don't really like this stuff."

He simply opened his mouth and took a small sip of the two glasses of wine.

A golden vortex formed between his lips and teeth, and the liquid in the glass flew into his mouth. A small piece of the ring on Natasha's finger, which contained a miniature camera, also peeled off and turned into a thin metal sheet to accompany the drink.

"Tsk, and there's also a slightly astringent taste from the titanium alloy."

Xiu En smacked his lips, and the golden light on his body surface flickered again due to the additional metal supplement, increasing his hardness assessment to four times.

"Next time, please be more sincere and cut a wing off that invisible giant iron bird that's parked next to you and bring it up; I'd like it even better."
