The next chapter is even more exciting: Chapter 208 Why not ask the amazing Batman? We look forward to your visit.

Although Sisorn said he wouldn't bite the bait anymore.

But Xiu En still refused to believe it.

We have arrived in an unknown world that is related to Sithon.

Soon.

Shuen kicked the edge of the altar, which was carved from obsidian.

In the center of the altar, a new lure, inscribed with countless taunting circles and guiding runes by Constantine, lay quietly.

To increase its appeal, Xiu En even added a trace of extremely pure Shao Hao Golden Qi.

However, half an hour passed.

The entire underground meeting place was so quiet that the only sound was the dripping of water pipes.

"He's really not coming out? Aren't his men coming either?"

Xiu En scratched his hair in frustration. He was still pretending to be the down-on-his-luck bounty hunter, but the expression on his face was like that of an angry diner who had waited in line for two hours only to be told that the signature dish was sold out.

"What's unreasonable about it? You've arrested them twice, treating them like reserve food. If you were in their shoes, would you still dare to peek out?"

A succulent plant that looked withered and shriveled was casually tossed next to the altar.

Ivy's voice rang out.

"It seems that this kind of entrapment operation will reach its limit after one or two uses."

The succulent's leaves twitched impatiently.

"The soil here is too acidic, and the air is filled with the stench of inferior dark magic. Since we can't catch any fish, let's hurry back. The Void Venus Flytrap on the main body has already sprouted its first pair of traps, and I'm eager to get back to watch the show."

Xiu En pursed his lips, reached out and grabbed the bait back, stuffing it into his trench coat pocket.

"I thought that rat was just making threats, but I never expected that this ancient demon god would actually pull the internet cable."

"No...this can't be true...the Crimson Lord won't abandon us..."

In a corner a dozen meters below the altar, a gaunt old man dressed in a tattered black robe was kneeling on the ground.

He clutched his sparse gray hair with both hands, his cloudy eyes were bloodshot, and he was in a state of extreme madness and extreme weakness.

He is Eli, the head of this secret cult called the Scarlet Eye.

Just half an hour ago, Shuen came to our door with bait, claiming that he had brought a sacrifice that would make the Crimson Lord perform a miracle.

Eli, filled with fervor, initiated the highest-level summoning ritual, even at the cost of sacrificing most of his life force.

As a result, nothing happened.

"Something's been wrong since yesterday."

Eli said, his voice trembling.

"No matter how much I pray, no matter how many times I recite it, the gate to the Crimson Universe seems, as if it's welded shut from the inside!"

Eli raised his head and looked at Shuen standing on the altar, his eyes filled with despair and incomprehension.

"Yesterday! From that moment yesterday! I could even feel the fear of the Great Master? How is that possible? How could God be afraid?!"

Xiu En looked down at the dark mage who was on the verge of madness due to the collapse of his faith and rolled his eyes speechlessly.

"Stop yelling, old man. Your God hasn't abandoned you; he's just afraid of ending up on my dinner table."

Xiu En jumped off the altar.

He had originally hoped to acquire some more goods in this parallel universe, but now it seems that Sithon is truly determined to be a coward.

"This piece of meat is completely ruined."

Xiu En complained to the succulent plant on his shoulder.

"They don't even dare to send out a single subordinate. How boring."

"Let's go then."

Ivy's voice was urging.

"I don't want to stay in this place for even a second longer."

Shuen nodded, ignoring Eli, who was still crying and laughing on the ground.

He raised his right hand, and a pure golden flame ignited at his fingertips, purifying the area.

Then, with a forceful slash of his arm in mid-air, a transdimensional rift radiating intense light and spatial fluctuations was forcibly torn open.

Across the rift, the familiar Gotham sky could be faintly seen.

"Let's go back to Gotham for lunch."

Xiu En stepped into the rift.

The plant followed closely behind and squeezed inside.

Shuen stepped into the dining room of Wayne Manor, pulled out a high-backed chair, sat down, grabbed a piece of Arford hardcore baguette from the table, and took a big bite.

"This piece of meat is completely ruined."

Xiu En mumbled a complaint as he chewed on the hard bread.

"That red-skinned rat really did unplug the internet. I went to some underground church in another universe and squatted there for half an hour, but I couldn't even smell sulfur. He'd rather let his followers have a mental breakdown than peek out again."

Bruce, sitting at the other end of the long table, looked at Shum.

Several semi-transparent holographic screens floated in front of him, displaying a dense array of data and charts.

The succulent has turned back into a sunflower, jumped off Xiu En's shoulder, climbed up the table leg to the tabletop, and found a sunny spot to take root.

"He's probably hiding in the deepest part of the crimson universe right now, and he's put you on an absolutely untouchable blacklist."

Bruce reached out and swiped a few times on the holographic screen, bringing up an encrypted file in front of Shuen.

"Perhaps you don't need to keep staring at his physical form."

Bruce's voice exuded a confident sense of control.

"Remember that universe we went to last time, the one that sponsored Peter Parker and registered a branch of Wayne Enterprises there?"

Xiu En swallowed his bread and glanced at the screen.

The image displayed was of a red-haired woman, along with a series of complex energy fluctuation patterns.

"I remember. Not only did you give that poor kid a job, but you also used your role as a technical consultant to install your surveillance network within their S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers."

Xiu En smiled.

"What, did you find some new ingredients over there?"

"My projection over there has collected a lot of superhuman data."

Bruce pointed at the red-haired woman on the screen.

"This woman is Wanda Maximoff, codename Scarlet Witch. According to the energy spectrum comparison I collected, the chaos magic she uses matches the energy fluctuations emitted by the Sithon consciousness you captured with a 99% accuracy."

Bruce looked at Shum.

"Since Sithon severed the connection with all his followers and refused to answer the call, then this superhero who directly uses his source power might be his greatest anchor in that universe. Why don't you go ask her?"

"Really? Maybe I can just use her internet connection to hack into Xisorn's server!"

Xiu En's eyes lit up, and the disappointment he had felt from the failed fishing trip vanished.

He stood up.

"As expected of you, boss. No matter which universe you're in, your habit of snooping on other people's privacy always comes in handy."

Xiu En clapped his hands.

"Where is this woman named Wanda? I'm going to Marvel right now to have a chat with her about life."

Bruce tapped a few times on the screen, sending a coordinate to Shum's phone.

"She is currently with the Avengers members, and her whereabouts are not fixed. However, according to inside information provided by Peter, she is currently training at an Avengers base in upstate New York."

Bruce reminded him.

"Her power is extremely unstable, and she's prone to losing control of her emotions. You'd better be careful not to destroy that base."

"Don't worry, I'm a reasonable and civilized person."

The sunflower rolled its eyes on the table, its roots quickly contracted, and it jumped back onto Xiu En's shoulder.

"Shuen, you'd better really just go and ask for directions."

The sunflower warned.

"Let's go, let's go, stop arguing."

"Let's go see this Scarlet Witch and see if she can show us the way to the cafeteria."

……

Marvel.

Shuen appeared on the lawn of the Avengers base and straightened the collar of his trench coat.

The golden dimensional rift slowly closed behind Xiu En.

During this crossover, Xiu En controlled the temperature of the Golden Crow Divine Fire extremely well, so much so that even the grass under his feet wasn't scorched yellow.

"Xiu En, are you sure using the main entrance is polite?"

A sunflower peeked out from Xiu En's left shoulder, its green vines wrapping around the dark gold buttons of his trench coat.

"The soil on this lawn is as hard as stone; they clearly don't know how to care for plants."

"This is called 'courtesy first, then force'."

"Bruce said that the woman named Wanda is emotionally unstable. I don't want to be mistaken for an intruder the moment I show my face, as that would affect how efficiently I can ask for directions."

Shuen strode toward the high-tech Avengers base building.

Before Xiu En could even reach the door, the door slid open to both sides.

Thor originally came out to check the situation after sensing strong spatial fluctuations outside the base.

When he saw that the person who came was Xiu En, his tense muscles immediately relaxed and a hearty smile appeared on his face.

"Ha! Look who this is!"

Thor stepped forward and patted Hugh on the shoulder heavily.

"My glowing friend! You've finally appeared again!"

Shuen's body remained completely still; even his clone's trench coat was able to neutralize Thor's palm strike.

"Long time no see, Thor."

Shuen's gaze lingered on Thor's hammer for a second before quickly looking away.

"Judging by your outfit, you seem to be living a comfortable life?"

"Not bad. The beer here may not be as good as the fine brews of Asgard, but the quantity is generous."

Thor laughed and withdrew his hand, then frowned slightly as he looked Shuen up and down.

"But seriously, didn't you say you were going to have tea with the Ancient One? What happened to you? Stark and I thought you got lost in that mirror space or something happened to you."

"An accident? What accident could possibly happen to me?"

Xiu En shrugged.

"I just suddenly remembered that I hadn't turned off the gas at home, so I went back to deal with a small problem. I also changed into a new set of clothes."

"This outfit really looks good; it's much better than your previous one."

Thor nodded approvingly, then pointed with his hammer into the base.

"Since you're here, would you like to come in and have a drink? The newcomer, Vision, is in the kitchen researching pasta. Although I can't understand why he's so enthusiastic about cooking when he doesn't need to eat, the taste is passable."

"No pasta, I just had breakfast at home."

Shuen waved his hand, declining Thor's invitation.

He dropped his nonchalant expression and adopted a more serious one.

"Actually, I came here today to ask one of your members for a small favor."

Shuen looked Thor in the eyes and spoke very politely.

"I've heard there's a woman here named Wanda. She's knowledgeable about a certain kind of magical energy. I'd like to meet her and ask her a few questions about internet connectivity."

Thor was taken aback, clearly not expecting Shuen to make such a request.

"Are you looking for Wanda?"

Thor scratched his head, looking somewhat hesitant.

"She's indeed at the base recently. But her condition? Well, it's a bit complicated. She's learning to control her powers. What questions do you want to ask her?"

Thor glanced at the sunflower on Shuen's shoulder, which was staring intently at the base's green belt, and thought that the word "problem" sounded awkward coming from Shuen's mouth.

"Lead the way, big guy."

The sunflower impatiently patted itself with its leaf.

"We promise not to demolish the house. All she needs is for us to tell us the IP address of that red-skinned rat."

Thor didn't understand what an IP address meant, but he was too lazy to think about it and readily nodded.

"Okay, come with me."

Thor turned around and gestured for Shuen to follow.

"She should be in the simulation training room on the third basement level right now. Hopefully, your question won't make her too nervous."
