Read Chapter 262, "The Management's Devastating Strike," now to begin your exciting day.

Amidst Kilowog's roar, Shun emerged from behind Hal, whose face had turned green with fear.

Hey, big guy.

He raised his hand familiarly and greeted the giant alien.

Are you looking for him?

He pointed to Hal, who was almost petrified beside him.

Kilowog's already small eyes narrowed into slits instantly.

"That's right, rookie! It's you! And then there's this golden freak next to you! Jordan, I'll give you three standard seconds to explain why you're in my backyard with a monster that can devour an energy matrix!"

"It's not his fault."

Before Hal could even organize his thoughts, Shuen spoke up.

"I came here of my own accord, and I wanted to try that matcha wafer myself."

He pointed to the defense platform that was still dripping energy debris.

"you……"

Kilowog was taken aback by his self-righteous attitude and was momentarily speechless.

A thief who broke into a military base to steal food and acted as if it were perfectly normal?

This was the first time he had ever seen such a thing in all his years as an instructor.

"Besides, I'm not some kind of monster."

"If you really want to put it that way, you can think of me as a food critic. I've already prepared a preliminary tasting report on this appetizer at your headquarters."

"Appreciation?"

"Yes,"

Xiu En nodded and began his suicidal commentary.

"First of all, the design is good, with sharp edges, and it looks like a product from an industrial assembly line, with a high degree of standardization, which is a plus. But the problem lies in the taste and flavor."

"The texture is too one-dimensional, too hard, and lacks any depth or complexity."

Hal Jordan closed his eyes, turned his face to the side, and pretended not to recognize the golden light figure.

He decided to go directly to the detention room to report later, at least it would be quiet there.

All the patrolling Lanterns present, including Bowak Fiddle, looked at Shuen with the eyes of someone looking at an alien demon; they were completely unable to understand the language and logic of the creature before them.

The only one who could understand was their instructor, Kirovog.

He not only understood, but he was also so angry that he laughed.

"Ha...haha...hahaha!"

"What the hell do you take the Green Lantern Corps for? Your kitchen backyard? Rookies!"

He shouted those last two words!

With a deafening roar, the green light ring on his hand, as big as a clay pot, shone brightly!

"I happen to have a traditional hearty dish from my home planet, Polovts!"

In the green light, a heavy hydraulic crusher constructed from willpower took shape in an instant with overwhelming force!

A hydraulic plate, imbued with the power to crush everything, slowly opened above Xiu En's head.

"This dish is called 'Crushed to Pieces!' I'll treat you to your fill!!"

With a sudden swing of his massive hand, Kilowog showed no intention of holding back; this strike was aimed at completely formatting his opponent!

Faced with this devastating blow, Shuen's clone raised his head and gave his final comments on the massive machine constructed by Gilowog.

"This design is definitely much more sincere than the previous one. The details are very well done, and it has an industrial aesthetic. I like it."

Hal couldn't bear to look anymore.

However, just a second before the planetary crusher was about to close, an accident occurred.

【Kilowog, stop!】

That voice belonged to the highest intelligence in the universe, and to their ultimate leader.

Guardians.

"Guardians?!"

Kirowog was stunned.

The energy loss of an energy platform is within an acceptable margin of error.

You cannot handle this exception.

"But he..."

Kirowog wanted to argue further.

That voice didn't give him a chance.

Hal Jordan.

This time, the Guardians' will directly targeted the Earthlings who were feigning death.

Hal jolted awake and stood up straight.

"Here! Guardians!"

Bring this young man to see us.

This young man was clearly referring to Xiu En.

【immediately.】

Then, the guardians' will receded like the tide, as if they had never existed.

At the scene, all that remained was a shredder suspended in mid-air, a pig-headed instructor trembling with rage but forced to obey orders, a group of patrolling lanterns in reboot mode, and a sector 2814 hero who was completely socially inept throughout.

And a golden gourmet who was a little disappointed because he couldn't try the new dishes.

Kilowog took a deep breath and slowly exhaled, as if trying to release all the anger within him.

He glared at Hal fiercely, his eyes so menacing they looked like he wanted to skin him alive.

"You, Jordan!"

"You better pray that when you come out of those old guys' offices, I won't personally send you to the medical pod for a year."

After saying that, the shredder disintegrated and turned into countless green specks of light.

Then he turned and roared at his men:

"What the hell are you all looking at! Don't you have anything better to do?! Go back to patrol! If any of that weird stuff gets within 100 light-years of OA again, you'll all be cleaning the toilets at Atositas's house!"

The patrolling lantern bearers, feeling as if they had been granted a pardon, all slipped away.

In the vast airspace, only Shuen and Hal remained.

Looking at Hal, who looked utterly hopeless, Xiu En kindly asked...

"So, which office do we go to to pick up my free voucher?"

"A free voucher?"

"Do you think those blue-skinned dwarfs who have lived for billions of years would give you coupons? They're guardians! Legislators of the universe!"

"Don't judge them by your damn food theories!"

Despite still being bluntly critical, Hal honestly started moving.

Under the highest command, he resignedly adjusted his direction and flew towards the center of the glorious city on OA Star.

Shuen found everything new and interesting.

He looked curiously at the city streets beneath his feet, constructed of pure green light, and at the various Green Lanterns flying and shuttling along fixed tracks. Occasionally, he would point to a particularly strange-looking alien Green Lantern and whisper to Hal what kind of creature it was.

Near the central tower.

After passing through several green energy barriers, the two arrived at the very top of the central tower.

This is a magnificent circular sanctuary.

Above the dome of the sanctuary, the energy cell slowly rotated, emitting a light like a green sun that illuminated the entire hall.

The floor of the hall is engraved with the heroic deeds of all the Green Lantern Corps members since the birth of the universe.

In the very center of the hall, twelve thrones floated in mid-air.

On each of the eleven thrones sat an elderly man dressed in a red robe with azure skin.

They are the living history of the universe, the founders and supreme rulers of the Green Lantern Corps.

Guardians of the Universe.

They were expressionless, and most of them had no emotion in their eyes.

As soon as Hal entered the sanctuary, he immediately knelt on one knee, his right hand on his chest: "Guardian, Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern, is here to bring our visitor."

Xiu En, on the other hand, looked around curiously, as if he were visiting a museum.

He whispered to Hal.

"Wow, your company's board members all have such distinctive looks. How can they even see the PowerPoint presentation during meetings with just that much of a nodding?"

Hal wanted to stand up immediately, conjure a roll of tape with his ring, and seal Shuen's damn mouth shut!

The guardians seemed to have completely ignored Shuen's rude remarks.

They remained seated silently on the throne, like twelve lifeless statues.

After a long while, one of the guardians, whose face had the deepest wrinkles and whose eyes were slightly less indifferent, slowly floated down from his throne.

He is Ganser.

"Get up, Hal Jordan. This conversation is none of your business."

Ganther's voice was ancient and calm. He waved his hand, indicating that Hal could step aside.

Hal respectfully retreated to the edge of the hall, but he still kept his ears perked up, wanting to hear what these old fogies had to say to the golden monster.

"The young sun."

Ganser floated up to Shuen and met his gaze.

"On behalf of the Guardian Council, I welcome you."

Hello.

Xiu En nodded.

"Excuse me, who is the highest-ranking official here? I mean, the one who decides the menu in your cafeteria."

"We don't have a cafeteria."

He answered the question calmly, then changed the subject, his voice becoming solemn.

"But we have a recipe older than any menu. An ultimate prophecy about light and 'darkness'."

He began his epic recitation.

The stars have dimmed; night is approaching.

The darkness, representing end and nothingness, is about to awaken from the cradle of the universe. It will be a night of utter silence, the end of emotions and life. At that time, all that has passed will return, but they will bring with them eternal silence.

That was the darkest night.

Hal, who was listening nearby, was deeply shaken. He could sense that this was the fate that was about to befall him!

Ganther is now closer to Shuen.

The prophecy also mentions that there is not only one kind of light that can combat darkness.

He lightly tapped his finger in the air, and a green light unfolded before them. Then, the green light began to divide!

Red, orange, yellow, cyan, blue, purple... six rays of light, just as pure as the green light, extended from that green light and floated slowly in front of Xiu En.

"This is the spectrum of emotions. The green light around you, the power of the Green Lanterns, is merely the light of will within it."

Ganser explained.

"Anger, greed, fear, hope, pity, and love. These seven emotions together form the foundation of the life force of the universe."

He pointed to the restless red light and the ominous yellow light.

"However, for a long time, apart from the Light of Will which we have controlled, the other lights have been out of control and abused. Anger has sparked war, fear has bred tyranny, and greed has devoured civilization. These unstable forces are constantly weakening the life force field of the universe, accelerating the arrival of the darkest night."

"so what?

"so."

"The prophecy has long foretold that when the stars dim, a being capable of encompassing all light will descend upon this place. He will walk across the spectrum, balancing the out-of-control forces, uniting all colors into one, and ultimately igniting the primordial white light that can dispel the darkness!"

These words are so grand, so full of a sense of mission.

They packaged an armed confiscation of other light clusters as a great miracle to save the universe and balance the spectrum!

The so-called "collection" has become "balancing".

The so-called "devouring" has become "accommodating".

"The young sun."

Ganser asked in an almost mentor-like tone.

"Are you willing to accept this destiny that belongs to you?"
