Chapter 298 First Arrival in the Dark World

Xiu En seemed to suddenly remember something, and he suppressed the almost boiling fighting spirit.

He glanced at Sunflower, who had been exuding an aura of unapproachability ever since Bruce began introducing Blacklight.

Then, he looked at Bruce and asked him a question.

Are there still living people on that Earth?

"Yes," Bruce replied affirmatively.

"But they had already been moved before you arrived."

He pulled up another file, and on the holographic screen appeared images of a group of heroes dressed in various uniforms, all with a distinct World War II style. A man in a Stars and Stripes uniform and an iron helmet, a man carrying a green lantern, a man wearing a winged helmet…

"This is the hero team from another parallel Earth—the Justice Society of America."

"That Constantine from Earth, while asking me for help, also asked them for help. However, the flow of time in their universe is different from ours."

Bruce explained.

"After I took William Hand under control, their reinforcements arrived late. Their leader transferred all the surviving civilians on that planet to their world for resettlement."

Bruce turned off the hologram.

"So, that's an uninhabited planet now."

"Apart from William Hand and the endless black-light corpses, there is no other living intelligent life on it."

"You can go all out now."

"Then I'm relieved."

Xiu En breathed a sigh of relief.

His face once again broke into a radiant smile, as he prepared to head to a grand banquet.

The sunflower, standing nearby, seemed to relax a little after hearing that the survivors had been moved.

Xiu En's fighting spirit was reignited.

"Then what are we waiting for?"

"Dinner's ready... oh no, let's get to work!"

Bruce nodded.

He took out a silver-gray polyhedral device from his belt.

"This is a multi-dimensional coordinate locator that I designed based on the Night Owl's design. Then I modified it using Kamar-Taj technology. It can open stable passages to designated worlds."

As he spoke, he typed a long string of complex coordinates and runes that neither Shuen nor Ivy could understand onto the device's screen.

"Spatial Anchor Point: Gotham City, Wayne Manor"

"Energy source".

Bruce glanced at Shum.

"Your white light ring."

"no problem!"

Xiu En immediately raised his hand.

Bruce threw the polyhedral device into the air.

"Ivy, stabilize the spatial structure."

Bruce then gave the order.

The sunflower nodded.

Shuen aimed the ring at the polyhedral device in mid-air.

A beam of white light was injected into the core of the device!

The polyhedral device begins to rotate at high speed!

A circular crack with white arcs of electricity flashing along its edges tore open the space around the device!

A chilling, nauseating odor surged forth from the other end of the crack!

Countless sacred vines blocked the surging death energy, preventing it from eroding even an inch of the Ximu Realm.

"The passage is now open."

Bruce's voice was as calm as Batman's.

Wish us luck.

Shum just grinned at Bruce.

Then, he took a step and walked into the gate to the world of death.

Bruce followed closely behind.

He had somehow changed into a bat armor suit, with N-metal armor covering the key areas.

It looks like it was patted on the watch and then covered the whole body?

The view before me suddenly opened up.

But that's not any hope for the future.

They were standing on a familiar yet unfamiliar land.

This is the back hill of Wayne Manor.

However, the sky here is deathly still.

The sun and moon are nowhere to be seen; the sky is filled only with a persistent, dark cloud.

The grass beneath my feet had long since withered and rotted, turning into a muddy swamp.

Looking around, the whole world seemed to have been drained of all color and vitality.

In the distance, the outline of Gotham City was reduced to a silhouette that appeared and disappeared in the gray mist.

A world that is already dead.

Just as Shuen and Bruce had gained a foothold and were still getting used to the atmosphere of this world.

The muddy ground beneath our feet began to undulate.

No, it's not peristalsis?

Something is crawling out from beneath the soil, which is soaked with death.

A withered hand was the first to break through the soil.

Then came the second, the third... and thousands upon thousands of them!

They were like a horde of demons scrambling to escape from hell!

"hiss……"

Xiu En's brows furrowed unconsciously.

The sight before him filled him with disgust.

That is life's instinctive rejection of death and desecration.

The sunflower's reaction was even more intense.

All the emerald green vines on her body retracted, tightly protecting her and Xiu En, and the small sunflower head showed obvious discomfort.

She doesn't like it here.

I don't like it at all.

Within a few dozen seconds, the area within several kilometers centered on the three of them was transformed into a black ocean of walking corpses!

They crawled out of the soil, squeezed out of the withered tree trunks, and even rose from the lake.

Their appearances are all very different.

Some of them were former GCPD officers, wearing tattered police uniforms.

There are Gotham celebrities wearing tuxedos, but half of their bodies have turned into skeletons.

There were innocent civilians who still wore expressions of fear from their last moments before death.

Shuen even spotted several familiar faces wearing Arkham Asylum gowns.

But they all have one thing in common now.

They were all wearing black bodysuits.

In their eye sockets, a white inverted triangle symbol flickered, and on their fingers, they each wore a black lamp ring.

They are the Black Lantern Legion!

Thousands upon thousands of Black Lantern Corpses surged toward Xiu En and his companions from all directions!

That black wave was enough to make even the most determined hero feel despair.

Bruce raised his left wristband.

Then I pressed a hidden button on the side of the wristband.

"Sonic beacon network activated."

In every corner of Gotham, in every block of New York, in London, in Paris, in Tokyo…

Around the world, sonic beacon towers, secretly built by different worlds of Bruce using the legacy of another version of themselves on this earth and disguised as statues, GG logos, and even manhole covers, are activated at this moment!

They began to emit a special kind of infrasound!

This type of infrasound has no effect on any living organism.

But for the Black Lantern Corpses who rely on the Black Lantern Ring's central network to act...

This is a powerful sedative!

The black horde of zombies seemed to have been collectively put on slow motion!

Their movements resembled a difficult trek through a bottomless syrup.

Their roars turned into intermittent groans.

Blacklight Corpse, a football player who had just lunged at Bruce within three meters, collapsed to the ground, his body still twitching slightly.

The signals connecting their actions were forcibly interfered with by Bruce's infrasound.

They were like a group of online gamers who suddenly lost their internet connection, stuck in place and unable to move.

"The interference field has covered 98 percent of the global area."

The holographic screen on Bruce's wristband displayed a world map filled with green dots.

"The overall activity of the Black Lantern Corpse Legion has decreased by 80%."

"Energy consumption: 5%. Expected to last for 15 minutes."

He glanced at Shuen, who was staring with disgust at the group of sluggish undead.

"I've bought you fifteen minutes."

Bruce's voice was full of trust.

"Xiu En".

"Now it's your turn! Now, take to the skies!"

Shuen flashed a bright smile at his chin, which was hidden beneath the bat mask.

"Fifteen minutes?"

"That's enough!"

The moment he finished speaking, his figure transformed into a golden streak of light!

The golden light struck the ever-present leaden-gray sky at an almost vertical angle!

A huge golden hole was pierced through the dark clouds in the sky!

The long-awaited sunlight shone on this despairing land ruled by death.

After piercing the atmosphere, the golden light finally hovered in synchronous orbit above the dead planet.

From this height, the entire planet can be seen.

This is an ugly sphere that has lost all its color.

The continents are dark gray, the oceans are dark gray, and only the faint ice caps at the poles reflect a pale light.

Shuen gazed at the dying planet beneath his feet.

Begin to spread the sunshine.

Just then.

A vine, seemingly emerging from mythology, rises from the surface of the planet.

Its growth rate was so fast that it almost instantly traveled tens of thousands of kilometers to reach Xiuen.

Its surface radiates a halo of life.

Each of its leaves seems to contain a complete, vibrant spring.

It was Ivy who made the move.

The vines wrapped around Xiu En's ankles.

"Yes, Ivy's energy has been connected."

Bruce's voice echoed in Shuen's mind through the vines.

"Heart rate is stable, energy flow is stable. Shuen, prepare to receive the data model."

"A white light model? Boss, you can do that too?"

Xiu En was stunned for a moment.

"The power of the white light is life. But life itself has no form or direction."

"You can think of it as the raw material for the most advanced 3D printer. What I'm going to give you now is the printing blueprint."

Bruce had barely finished speaking.

A three-dimensional model was projected onto Xiu En's retina!

It was an incredibly beautiful white halo!
