Food: Randomly set up stalls, even the little guy is drooling.
Chapter 8 focuses on one person who refuses to listen to advice.
The fitness center has a small stall area on the side, with only four stalls.
"Freshly Mixed Light Salad", "High-Protein Energy Bowl", "0 Sugar Freshly Squeezed Fruit and Vegetable Juice", "Whole Wheat Sandwich".
You don't even need to try them; just looking at these signs makes them seem perfect for weight loss.
Yang Yuyan is the owner of a "freshly mixed light salad" stall. She deftly packed a shrimp and avocado salad into a box, drizzled it with her homemade low-calorie vinaigrette, and handed it to the girl who had just finished working out. "Take care, see you tomorrow."
This was her first regular customer of the night. Every time she came out of the gym, she would always stop by her stall to buy a healthy and nutritious salad.
The reason she didn't say it was delicious is that, in her opinion, salads are mainly about nutrition, and they certainly can't be that delicious.
Soon, the peak business hours for the day would arrive, and she was starting to look forward to it.
"Sister Yuyan, how many servings did you make today?" Ah Mei, who was juicing, moved the fruit pulp very quickly, seemingly unaffected by the conversation.
"I've prepared about 80 servings, hopefully we can sell them all today..." Yang Yuyan was saying this when she suddenly saw a food cart approaching in the distance. "Lu Ji Fried Chicken Cutlet?"
The other three stall owners obviously saw it too.
"Anyone still dares to sell fried food here?" Sister Liu, who was making sandwiches nearby, looked surprised. "Ever since that fried dough stick vendor was yelled at and driven away last month, no one has dared to come here to sell high-oil, high-fat food."
None of them had done any serious market research, but they all understood the basic principles: this small area caters to people who are trying to lose weight and get fit, which is why their light meals are so popular.
"Fried chicken cutlets, although everyone uses chicken breast, once they're coated in breadcrumbs and fried in oil, they become high in oil and fat." Yang Yuyan didn't quite understand either.
The new food stall owner was a young man, and his vehicle was brand new; it seemed to be his first day doing business.
Yang Yuyan heard that many college students have recently been unable to find jobs, so they have abandoned their traditional long gowns and started making money by setting up stalls, just like them.
However, while food stalls may seem to have low costs, there are nuances to it, and not everyone can make money from them.
This young man in front of me looks completely inexperienced.
Just because they have fewer stalls here doesn't mean they can just come and set up a stall.
"I'll go remind him," Yang Yuyan said, wiping her hands as she walked over.
"Sister Yuyan, you're still too kind," Amei joked.
When Yang Yuyan walked up to him, the young man was looking down at the oil pan, adjusting the temperature. His profile looked particularly focused in the afterglow of the evening.
"Hello," Yang Yuyan said.
The man looked up, his eyes as pure as a recent college graduate's. However, there's another possibility: he wasn't just resembling one; he actually was a recent college graduate.
He spoke first, "I want chicken cutlet... Sis, what's up?"
Needless to say, the man was Lu Feng.
Lu Feng thought a business opportunity had come knocking, but it turned out to be the owner of the light food stall next door that he had just seen.
"Nothing much, just came to check it out." Yang Yuyan was careful with her tone. "Selling chicken cutlets?"
"Yes, today is our first day setting up our stall."
"As someone who's been there, I'm just here to give you a heads-up. This place isn't really suitable for selling this kind of thing."
Yang Yuyan tried to organize her thoughts, "I'm not here to kick you out. It's just that, you don't know, there was a fried dough stick vendor who couldn't stand what the members said and packed up and left. They can be a little unpleasant when they talk."
She paused, looked at Lu Feng, and said, "Selling chicken cutlets might be more profitable in a different location."
Lu Feng remained silent for a moment, then sensed the other party's goodwill.
That's so kind! I thought I was about to trigger a side quest. He replied politely, "Thank you, but I'm really sorry, I'm still planning to sell here."
He thought to himself, "Big sister, I wanted to come too, but I didn't come here on my own initiative."
Yang Yuyan opened her mouth. Goodness, a purebred college student, head as hard as a nuclear bomb, won't listen to any advice.
She had no relation to the other person, and in the end, she simply nodded, "Alright. Well, you should prepare yourself mentally."
She turned and went back to her stall, and Amei immediately asked, "What do you mean? What do you mean?"
"I can't persuade her." Yang Yuyan shook her head.
Sister Liu chimed in, "Young people are often arrogant and unwilling to listen to advice; they all have to hit a wall at first."
As we were chatting, the peak time for this food stall arrived.
The gym door opened, and men and women in workout clothes came out one after another. Their hair had just been washed, and their faces had that faint blush that was unique to exercise.
Aside from those who went straight home with their bags, the rest headed straight for the stalls they were familiar with.
"I'm so hungry, I need to get some protein tonight," a girl with a ponytail said to Yang Yuyan. "Boss, the usual, one chicken breast salad."
"Why do you eat this every day? It's not tasty at all," the short-haired girl next to her added. "Sigh, I'm suffering so much for the sake of my figure. I'll have one too."
"Huh." The girl with the ponytail smelled a very aggressive fragrance and immediately turned her head.
"Fried chicken cutlet? When did it open?" The short-haired girl looked over and frowned. The smell was sinful. "Didn't they stop allowing people to sell this kind of high-fat food here a long time ago?"
The oil in Lu Feng's wok was boiling at the perfect temperature. He picked out the chicken cutlet, its golden-brown crust still sizzling.
"Wow, it smells so good." The girl with the ponytail unconsciously swallowed.
"Don't..." The short-haired girl tugged at her, "You've practiced for over an hour, eating this will make all that practice pointless."
The two took the salad and walked past the fried chicken stand. The short-haired girl couldn't help but turn her head and say to Lu Feng, "Boss, putting aside your freedom to set up a stall, the location you chose isn't very good! The air around here smells so good, it's amazing."
"You flatter me." Lu Feng's abrupt reply immediately created an awkward silence.
"No, we just finished showering after the gym, so all that washing was for nothing." The short-haired girl wanted to continue arguing, but the girl with the ponytail, seeing that her companion's mindless and pointless explanation had failed, gave her an apologetic look and quickly dragged her friend away.
Aside from this little incident, half an hour passed and surprisingly no one came to buy anything.
Lu Feng sighed and looked down at the fried chicken cutlet. So it really didn't work.
Fitness enthusiasts truly possess an exceptional immunity to delicious food; they can resist temptation.
After communicating with the hospital, Lu Feng was reluctantly allowed to pay for his grandmother's first surgery. Even so, he still needed to raise 5 yuan within two weeks.
He never dared to dream of it before, but now he had to make it happen! He decided to take the initiative. Tasting shouldn't be considered advertising, but once he took the first bite, he was sure he would attract customers.
Just then, someone called his name, "Boss Lu?"
