Guyver Armor: KAP-2

Chapter 1: Transmigration, Becoming Akira Fukamachi's Teacher

In June in Tokyo, the muggy heat of the rainy season enveloped Sakurami High School after school, like a sticky film.

Lin Zhou stood by the window of the third-floor teachers' office, his fingertips unconsciously tracing the cool glass as he watched students in blue and white school uniforms walk by in twos and threes below.

He glanced down at the digital watch on his wrist—this was his third week in this world, the date being June 12, 1991, separated from his original 2025 by an inexplicable spacetime rift.

Lin Zhou, 30 years old, spent the first half of his life as a typical urban workaholic: 996 work schedule, data analysis, PPT presentations, and his only solace was watching anime and playing games to relieve stress after get off work.

Now, he has become "Kano Tsubasa," a math teacher at Sakurami High School—a single young man who lost his parents at a young age and lives alone, and is also thirty years old.

"Mr. Jinno, are you still watching over the students?" Mr. Sato, who was at the next desk, peeked over. "You've been teaching for five years and you're still so dedicated and responsible. It's truly remarkable."

Lin Zhou, or rather, the man now called Kamino Tsubasa, withdrew his gaze, picked up the still-warm teacup on the table, and the warm touch on his fingertips calmed his chaotic thoughts slightly.

He forced a smile that fit the image of a "gentle young teacher": "No, it's just that I think Sakura's students are all very energetic."

Only he himself knows what terrifying truth lies hidden behind this "vitality".

Two weeks ago, when he saw the boy sitting in the third row by the window in the second grade, class two, with a slightly shy but resilient look in his eyes, his heart almost stopped - that face, that name, was clearly the protagonist of "Guyver Armored Captain", Akira Fukamachi!

Immediately afterwards, he ran into the boy in the corridor, Makijima Agito, who always had an arrogant smile and sharp, eagle-like eyes.

Hoping it might just be a coincidence of names, he looked through the student roster and found the names of the protagonist's best friend and childhood sweetheart, the Segawa siblings, Segawa Tetsuro and Segawa Mizuki.

That world, which existed only in anime and fantasy, was vividly unfolded before Tsubasa Kamino's eyes.

Chronos, Zoanoids, Bio-Armor, Unit G... These terms, which once only existed on screens and comic book pages, have instantly become swords hanging overhead.

As a science fiction work known for its "brutal battles" and "desperate resistance," the danger of this world far exceeds the imagination of people living in peacetime.

"Ms. Kanno?" Ms. Sato's voice pulled him back to reality. "There's a math test tomorrow. Have you prepared your test paper?"

"I'm all ready, Mr. Sato." Tsubasa Kanno nodded, but his gaze involuntarily drifted to the window—Akimasa Fukamachi and his friend Tetsuro Segawa walked out of the school gate together, chatting and laughing, completely unaware that the gears of fate had already begun to turn.

According to the original story, Akira Fukamachi encountered the "triangular metal box" that changed his life—Unit 1 of the Kappa—during his second year of high school.

Following closely behind were Chronos's pursuit, the attacks of the Zoanoids, and the hidden ambitions of the Jaw Man of Makijima.

Tsubasa Kamino gripped the teacup tightly, his knuckles turning slightly white.

He was not a boy like Akira Fukamachi, who was born with a sense of justice and a rebellious spirit, nor did he have the wealth and strategy of Agito Makijima.

He was just an ordinary 30-year-old white-collar worker. His only advantages were his calm mind, his memory of the original plot, and... his adult survival instincts.

To sit and wait for death? Impossible.

Kronos will not let go of anyone who might be connected to the Guyver Armor, even if he is just an unrelated teacher. Once the manhunt begins, Sakura High School will become a battlefield.

Therefore, the only way to survive is to take control of one's power.

In the first week after his transmigration, Kamino Tsubasa, having accepted reality, had already made various attempts, but it turned out that even after transmigrating, he was still just an ordinary person. No system, no superpowers, none of them; the only thing that improved was his memory.

Perhaps due to the fusion of souls after transmigrating, on the one hand, "Kano Tsubasa" vividly recalled his thirty years of arrogant life since childhood, and on the other hand, his memories as "Lin Zhou" in his previous life became incredibly clear, especially his favorite manga plot, where he could recall even the details that he had only glanced at in his previous life.

"Then, there is only one choice left." In Jinno's mind, the three bio-armor units that could provide the power to resist from the original story came to mind.

In the original work, the three sets of bio-armor units buried in the ruins of Mount Minakami in Japan were left behind on Earth by the alien "Descendants" and are the only three bio-weapons that exist in the world today.

This was originally standard equipment for the "Descendants," but it was named "Unit-Kap" or "Unit-G" by the villainous organization Chronos in the story.

After the Kronos organization unearthed the ruins of Mount Olympus, Unit G was taken out of the base by a small group of scientists within the organization who opposed using humans as experimental subjects.

Among them, Unit 1 G was accidentally activated by the protagonist, Akira Fukamachi, and successfully transformed into the first Guyver armored warrior - "Kap 1".

Unit 3 G was obtained and activated by Makijima Jato, who had been watching from the sidelines, and became the ambitious man hiding in the shadows—"Kap 3".

After the ill-fated Unit 2 G was recovered by the Chronos Cleanup Team, it was unexpectedly activated by Liske, an inspector sent by Chronos headquarters, into "Kap 2". However, due to the unit's control device being severely damaged by an explosion during the recovery process, it eventually lost control and died in a fierce battle with the protagonist.

"As long as I can seize Unit G and become a Guyver..." Tsubasa Kamino's eyes gradually hardened, "I can survive in this world, and even... change something."

He put down his teacup, opened his desk drawer, and took out a map of the surrounding area and a list of students. His fingertip landed on the name "Fukamachi Akira," then traced towards the mountainous area next to the school.

The moment that decided everything happened was the night after the news of the truck driver being killed by a wild animal was broadcast on television.

The outline of the entire seizure plan slowly took shape in his mind:

Using his position as a class teacher, he should observe the movements of the main character's team and secretly follow Akira Fukamachi on the appointed day. At the same time, he should scout the terrain of the school's mountainous area in advance, and devise a route to capture the unit and an escape plan. Finally, after the explosion, he should obtain the unit device and evade Kronos's pursuers.

This was an extremely risky plan. Among Kronos's pursuers was the "Kreig," a heavy tank-class beastman capable of taking on tanks single-handedly—an opponent that humans simply could not handle. One wrong step and it would be death.

But Tsubasa Kamino knew very well that in the cold and cruel world of the Guyver Armored Kaip, the weak had no human rights or right to survival.

The rain outside the window began to fall softly, pattering against the glass and blurring the distant streets. Kanno Tsubasa looked at the markings on the map, a calm smile playing on his lips.

"Guybooster Armor Kapp...Guybooster Armor Kapp...Let's change the course of this world from now on."
