Guyver Armor: KAP-2

Chapter 8 Transformation, the Birth of Kappa 2

The edge of a cliff.

Without the slightest hesitation, Tsubasa Kanno leaped off the cliff, pressing the core activation device of Unit G mid-air, the airflow making his clothes flutter.

A deep, vibrating sound suddenly rang out, and as the outer shell of Unit G unfolded, the bio-armored creature, entangled with his figure, disappeared into the deep fog.

Behind him, Kureg stopped at the edge of the cliff, his scarlet eyes fixed on his falling figure, letting out a roar of resentment.

On the battlefield by the pool, the fighting had fallen silent.

Having eliminated all threatening targets, the KAP-1 returned to its statue-like silence, standing motionless amidst the ravaged shadows, its green armor reflecting the shimmering light of the water.

"I, I am..." Akira Fukamachi's consciousness suddenly awoke from the chaos.

He stared in disbelief at the bloody scene before him, the images of the wanton slaughter slowly replaying in his mind.

"This, this is all my doing... I did this... my hands... no!!"

As if receiving Jing's strong resistance, the armor on his body suddenly disintegrated and cracked along the edge of the armor, releasing him from inside the armor with a slight buzzing sound.

It detached its host's armor, deftly closed in mid-air, and reformed into a humanoid shape before slowly sinking into the pool, disappearing quietly as the ripples spread.

The water surface quickly returned to calm, as if the fierce battle had never happened.

"Kyou!" Mizuki Segawa's voice was choked with sobs. She and her brother Tetsuro hadn't even had time to process what was happening before them, which was completely shattering their understanding of the world.

Transforming monsters, aliens, and armor appearing out of nowhere—all these bizarre scenes are violently impacting their worldview.

The brother and sister, one on each side, grabbed Jing, who was still not fully recovered, and hurriedly fled along the path, their steps faltering. The sounds of water and wind behind them mingled, becoming the lingering echoes of this terrifying battle.

When Tsubasa Kanno came to her senses, she found herself standing in a valley below a cliff.

Before him lay a mangled, bloody mess, the dark green blood thickly soaking into the gravel and withered grass, splattering everywhere.

Those were the last traces left in the world by the pursuing Kureg beastmen. The broken bones and festering flesh emitted a pungent, putrid stench, which mingled with the smell of gunpowder and burnt flesh in the air, making people nauseous.

Suddenly, a sticky sensation, mixed with a strong smell of blood, came from my skin.

Kanna Tsubasa subconsciously raised his arm, and the sight that came into view made him hold his breath instantly—it was the true face of the perpetrator of the tragedy before him.

A pale yellow glow flowed slowly across the gauntlets, while the sharp blades extending from the elbows gleamed with a chilling light, as if they could easily slice through the air. Within the gaps in the armor, dark purple bio-organism tissue writhed slightly, carrying the warmth of life and a pulse-like rhythm.

"It's a success!"

With an uncontrollable tremor in his voice, Kanna Tsubasa's eyes blazed with ecstatic light, his chest heaving violently, his breath rapid and hot.

He felt the exquisite senses in his armored state, slowly raised his arm, and gently stroked the outer shell of the armor with his fingertips.

A cool, hard touch came instantly, with the unique texture of metal, yet at the moment of contact, it faintly revealed a warmth similar to body temperature.

His fingertips slowly traced the patterns on the armor, the rough texture concealing intricate grooves, like the natural texture of a living organism.

"The dark yellow armor, the smooth shoulder armor lines, the sharp blades protruding from the elbows... Yes, this is the Guyver Armor KAP-2!"

Kamino Tsubasa's voice was full of certainty. He subconsciously turned his wrist, and the armor moved flexibly without any sluggishness, as if it were completely integrated with his bones and nerves.

He couldn't help but recall the settings of the Bio-Armor, information that he had known by heart, which became clearer and clearer under his personal experience.

Just standing there, it exudes a suffocating sense of oppression, like a moving steel fortress.

This is not because the KAP-2 is inherently superior to the KAP-1, but rather due to the core characteristics of the Guyver armor.

As standard equipment tailored for interstellar travel by the extraterrestrial intelligent life form "Descendants," the Qianger Armor is essentially a high-tech "biological spacesuit."

Before merging with a host, all unit models share the same basic performance characteristics. However, what truly determines the form and performance of the Bio-engineered Armor is the host's physical condition and mental strength.

The moment the Bio-Armor merges with the host, it will use the host's original physique and physical attributes as a blueprint to comprehensively modify and enhance the host's body. It will not only repair hidden ailments and strengthen the physique, but also grant the host superhuman strength, defense, and recovery ability with a hundredfold increase when wearing the armor.

In other words, the higher the host's basic qualities, the stronger the amplified combat power will be. Furthermore, the performance ceiling of the subsequent armor will continue to increase as the host's physical and mental strength grows and develops, possessing an extremely high upper limit.

Thinking of this, Konno Tsubasa couldn't help but clench his fists. He knew clearly that his physical abilities were significantly inferior to Lishi's.

After transmigrating to this perilous world, although he never relaxed and consciously carried out specialized training in combat skills and strength, as an ordinary person, he could never reach the level of an inspector like Lishke, who had emerged from the rigorous training of the Kronos organization.

Even so, he has his own advantages. As an adult, Tsubasa Kanno is 185 cm tall and is in his prime. His muscles are well-proportioned and full due to regular training, giving him a physical condition close to that of a professional athlete.

In contrast, the host of KAP-1, Akira Fukamachi, was still a thin, frail boy whose body was not yet fully developed. This meant that his KAP-2 bio-body had an initial performance far exceeding that of KAP-1 at the same time.

To get a more direct feel for his current form, Tsubasa Kanno quickly walked to a nearby puddle after the rain. The calm water reflected his not-so-clear outline, yet it still created a strong visual impact.

Perhaps it was subconscious impressions that influenced the form of the armor; the Kaipu-2 that he activated was extremely similar to the image in the original work.

Dark yellow armor plates tightly cover his body, and his streamlined humanoid form combines strength and explosiveness. His tall and upright figure, about 2 meters tall, demonstrates his powerful performance. On the mask, which resembles a Kamen Rider, bright yellow eyes shine like the pupils of a beast, radiating a chilling light.

He couldn't help but smile: "Finally got it, the Guyver Armor KAP-2... This is the power to reverse fate!"
