Guyver Armor: KAP-2

Chapter 84: The Relic Spaceship Takes Flight!

The monitoring room on the top floor of the heritage site.

The bodies of the three operators lay on the cold ground, dark red blood still slowly flowing from the gaps in the control panel, pooling into shallow puddles on the ground.

The red warning lights above were flashing wildly, illuminating the nine black figures in a flickering light.

"What on earth is going on...?"

Looking at the mess on the ground, the leader, Shin Rubeo Yamnicas, frowned, his tone tinged with anger and confusion:

"What exactly is going on with Dr. Bakas this time?"

The enemy has actually managed to penetrate to such a core location of the base; even the command center's monitoring room is in this state!

He walked slowly forward, his black boots grinding against the bloodstains on the ground.

When he reached the control panel, he suddenly frowned and stopped in his tracks.

"Um?!"

He abruptly looked down at his feet, his brain's biosensors frantically sounding an alarm—

A powerful and restless life energy reaction is rising wildly from the depths beneath this base.

"Oh, you sensed it too, Shin."

Suspended in mid-air, Cabral Han stroked his graying beard, a solemn look flashing in his cloudy old eyes:

"I thought it was my imagination before, but now it seems to be such a huge life reaction..."

It's still rising at an astonishing rate, and they're no longer hiding it at all!

Shin's pupils suddenly contracted, and the structure of the ruins base flashed through his mind. The lowest level area was where the ancient ruins spaceship was located.

"The deepest part of this base should only contain the area where the ruins are located."

Could it be that the source of this life energy reaction is... the remnant spaceship? Oh no!

He suddenly realized what was happening, and his voice rose sharply, with a hint of barely perceptible panic hidden within it.

That abandoned spaceship, silent for billions of years, is the best-preserved alien relic that Kronos currently possesses, and it is also a crucial part of their plan.

The fact that this site is experiencing such a strong disturbance is definitely not a good thing!

"Quickly, head down there immediately! We must check the condition of the ruins right now!"

As the spacecraft was about to launch, the energy fluctuations became increasingly noticeable.

The other divine generals nearby also sensed this energy, and their expressions changed drastically as they turned to rush towards the bottom.

"Stop, everyone, it's too late..."

A slightly weak voice suddenly came from outside the monitoring room door, and Hamil Bakas, with long white hair, appeared, leaning against the door frame and panting heavily:

"The ruins have been fully awakened from their tens of thousands of years of slumber!"

"It's Dr. Bacchus! You're safe and sound..."

Upon seeing who it was, Cabral and Kurmyk exchanged a glance and secretly clicked their tongues.

"But what if this ancient ruin were to fully awaken..." Shinn's forehead was covered in cold sweat.

"good."

Bakas looked down into the depths of the base. He possessed the strongest mental power among all the divine generals except for Akafil, and clearly detected the ship's unusual movements:

"Judging from this commotion, the ruins should have been restored to full functionality of the spaceship from the Advent era."

"If it's going to take off, this ruins base... won't last long."

He paused for a moment, then continued, "So, let's get out of here first."

"What?!"

All the gods were startled, but before they could finish speaking and before they could even move, the entire Mei Nai Divine Mountain Ruins Base suddenly trembled violently!

The glass screen in the monitoring room shattered with a crash, sharp shards of glass flying everywhere, and rubble from the ceiling fell with a clattering sound as it hit the floor.

Even the highest area on the top floor of the base began to shake violently, and fine cracks appeared in the metal floor beneath their feet.

A terrifying tremor originating from deep underground was sweeping upwards wildly.

That ancient spaceship, which had been silent for hundreds of millions of years, had completed its final energy storage and was about to take off!

"Run!!"

……

"Energy refueling complete! All ready! Now... tail propulsion system—activate!"

Tsubasa Kamino's thoughts were steadily transmitted to every corner of the ship through the ship's biological tissues.

At the very top center of the spaceship, the navigation radar, resembling a single eye, suddenly lit up with a dazzling light.

The next second, the tail of the relic spaceship suddenly lit up with a blazing blue flame, and the huge thrusters spewed out a tremendous amount of energy, with a deafening roar that resounded throughout the entire sacred mountain.

The powerful thrust erupted, causing the massive egg-shaped hull to slowly break free from the ground and violently shatter the underlying metal base structure.

Amidst the flying debris and dust, the ancient behemoth slowly rose from the ground, soaring straight into the sky above the base with an unstoppable momentum!

Almost simultaneously, intense bio-energy fluctuations surged across the surface of the spaceship, and a pale golden light curtain began to spread downwards from the top of the hull in layers.

The light curtain rapidly expanded and intertwined, eventually transforming into a massive, impenetrable cocoon of light that firmly enveloped the entire relic spaceship. As the light curtain swirled, it emitted wisps of lightning-like aftershocks.

As the hull of the Relic Spaceship, which forms the foundation of the entire Mount Meru Relic Base, continues to rise, the entire base begins to sway precariously.

Even the mountain of Mount Mena began to shake violently, with smoke and dust billowing into the sky, as if a magnitude 10 earthquake had passed through!

The crisscrossing passages, corridors, and various cabins inside the base were all crushed and torn apart by this overwhelming force, turning into dust in an instant.

The rows of preparation chambers in the preparation center and research center collapsed one after another, and the culture medium poured out.

Many of the beast-like soldier bodies, still in the process of being modified, lost their support and plummeted straight into the bottomless abyss below, without even having time to let out a wail.

"Damn it! Don't even think about running away!"

Richard Geor's roar suddenly erupted from the smoke and dust in the middle layer of the base.

He had just rushed back with all his might when he almost crashed into the relic spaceship that was taking off.

He stared intently at the protective shield that shimmered with a pale golden light, but he couldn't find a single opening to break through.

"Ugh—"

As Geo made a slight attempt to get closer, he was swept by the residual energy waves emanating from the outer layer of the spaceship, instantly leaving charred marks on his body.

"This annoying protective energy shield... there's no way to get close like this!"

Faced with this devastating scene, Geo could only cling desperately to the rock wall, watching the rising spaceships pass by in front of him, his eyes surging with resentment and rage.

"Damn it, Kepp... now the ruins base is completely destroyed... we have to escape and then figure out a way!"

He mustered the remaining energy in his body and climbed upwards using both his hands and feet, following the huge mountain hollow created by the spaceship's ascent.

His gaze was fixed on the golden cocoon of light, unwilling to give up the last chance.
