In the swampy wilderness, in the southeastern corner of the Firefly Wilderness, the Glowing Fungus family has cultivated a manor here.

The name will be Swamp Manor.

At Leo Glowing's sixteenth birthday celebration a while ago, the Baron officially granted this manor to Leo as a fiefdom for a knight.

The convoy wound its way along the dimly lit road.

We soon arrived at the small manor surrounded by glowing plants. From afar, we could see a three-story stone castle, outlined by specks of light, like a magnificent castle from a fairy tale, inhabited by princesses and fairies.

That was on the outer wall of the castle, covered with fluorescent mushrooms.

Besides this beautiful little castle, there is also a large tree in front of the castle gate that looks like it is on fire.

The emitted light illuminated the square in front of the gate, turning it a fiery red.

Leo sat in the carriage, admiring the manor through the window, filled with joy, knowing that this would be his home from now on.

"Wow, it's been years since I've been to Swamp Manor. It's developed quite well. Lord Harrison has really put in a lot of effort." Franken, riding on horseback, had already circled the manor once and returned to the carriage.

He was Leo's tutor.

His ancestors were also knights with their own manor, but by his generation, the manor had fallen into decline.

I came here following in Leo's footsteps, hoping to rebuild my life here.

A tutor is a deep bond, similar to a strategist, which is why Franken is Leo's confidant.

"Hmm." Leo responded calmly. His predecessor was a cold and aloof person, so he didn't need to put on a persona.

"Oden has already informed Lord Harrison. Oh, and Lord Harrison has come out to greet you. Leo, may you step down from the carriage?" Franken invited. "The handover ceremony still requires your personal presence."

Leo remained silent, but gestured for Doris to help him down from the carriage.

After landing, she no longer needed Doris's support and, with her weak body, walked step by step toward the castle gate.

Several knights and servants stood in rows on either side of the entrance, ready to greet him.

"Young Master Leo, welcome. Swamp Manor has been longing for its master for a long time, and you have finally arrived." Harrison was a second-tier Grand Knight, a follower of the Glowing Fungus family, and was sent here by the Baron to pioneer the land.

Behind him were three Tier 1 knights, who followed Harrison in pioneering the land.

These rural estates are typically managed by knights from the Glowing Mushroom family, who are responsible for pioneering, cultivating, and building them.

"Hello, Mr. Harrison." Leo's voice was a little hoarse.

"Are you hurt?" Harrison asked with concern.

Leo didn't speak again, and Franken responded on his behalf: "We were attacked by Shadow Beasts on the way. Leo was slightly injured, but he's fine now and it won't hinder the handover of manor affairs."

Harrison and the other knights immediately expressed their shock and concern.

Franken dealt with them one by one.

Leo felt a slight stirring in his heart as he felt the sun mark on his left palm radiating warmth.

This warmth felt like a guiding light.

The direction they were pointing towards was a large tree emitting a fiery red glow at the entrance of the small castle. Leo couldn't help but interrupt the conversation: "What kind of glowing tree is this? It's actually a large glowing tree. I didn't expect to find one in a country estate."

"Luminescent plant" is short for "luminescent plant".

Harrison immediately introduced the tree, his tone tinged with a strange sense of emotion: "This is a bare oak tree, which I found in the swamp three years ago and transplanted here... The Baron originally intended to move it, but ultimately abandoned the plan."

"It's beautiful," Leo exclaimed.

The leaves and branches of the oak tree glow red, a vibrant red that makes people look rosy.

He couldn't help but reach out and touch one of the leaves.

The next second.

A calm voice suddenly echoed in his mind. Through the sun's mark, he clearly recognized that this was the language of the oak tree: "When a distinguished guest arrives, I will summon a spirit insect at midnight to express my respect. Touching it will allow you to form a contract with the Holy Light element."

Leo's eyes widened.

Look around.

While Franken was still busy dealing with the pioneer knights, Steward Dirk had already begun to take over the servants of the small castle.

Doris stood behind him, ready to serve him at any time.

Everyone else was doing their own thing and didn't hear the meaning of the oak tree's flowers, a meaning that only appeared in his mind.

Leo raised his left hand and saw that the sun mark under the skin of his palm had faded considerably.

It seems that triggering the flower language once consumed a lot of energy from the Sun Mark.

"Is this the effect of the Sun Mark... triggering the flower language of the Light Plant..." Leo had already understood the effect of the cheat code. Now all he had to do was wait until midnight to see if the oak tree would really attract the fairy insects.

He greeted this "distinguished guest" with a fairy insect.

Thinking about it.

Leo held out his left hand to Doris: "What can you see?"

"Hmm?" Doris asked, puzzled. "Young master... your hands are very beautiful, and your fingers are quite long."

She could not see the sun's mark.

Leo breathed a sigh of relief. The secret of his cheat ability must never be known to others; it was the foundation upon which he would establish himself in the Eternal Night Continent.

Over here, Sir Harrison extended an invitation: "Young Master Leo, Lord Franken, and the knights, please come into the swamp villa before we talk. The servants have already brought tea; please moisten your throat, Young Master Leo."

This small castle is called the Swamp Villa.

This will be Leo's home in the future.

The living room wasn't large; a sofa, upholstered in fabric, surrounded the fireplace, and several candlesticks hung in the hallway.

The candlelight made the entire hall glow yellow and bright.

After the guests and hosts were seated, Leo continued to maintain his aloof and noble young master persona, letting Franken entertain the guests on his behalf.

He simply held the teacup and sipped it slowly.

Looking at the clock on the wall, it's a little past four in the afternoon, and there's still some time before dinner.

Franken discussed the situation of the manor with Harrison for a while, then asked Leo for instructions: "I need to conduct an on-site inspection of the swamp manor and hand over every field, fence, path, and serf population to His Excellency Harrison."

"Hmm." Leo nodded, then looked at the other side, at the knights sitting in perfect posture. "Lord Pluto, you will accompany Professor Franken.

Pluto is also a Tier 2 Grand Knight.

The Baron specifically assigned him to Leo to serve as Leo's knight commander, which is essentially the role of the head bodyguard.

In addition, there are four Tier 1 knights who serve as Leo's guards.

"Yes, Lord Leo." Pluto calmly replied, then rose and left the swamp villa with Franken, Harrison, and the others.

The knights have all left.

The swamp villa immediately fell silent. Seeing this, the old butler, Dirk, summoned all the servants in the villa and brought them before Leo: "Young master, please allow me to introduce you to the division of labor among the servants in the villa."

Dirk is already in his early sixties.

Before Leo was granted his fiefdom, he lived in the Baron's castle, and Dirk was his most loyal butler, serving him and following him.

"Please, Mr. Dirk," Leo said with a smile.

Through his predecessor's memories, he knew that in this world, Mr. Dirk's love for him might surpass that for his baron father, as well as his brother and sister.
