The Knight of Light plants the sun in the eternal night.

After the maid Alice left, Leo lay on the bed, lost in thought. He knew he would soon have concrete evidence of Sanchez's collusion with the Shadows.

but.

Leo squinted at a stalk of evening primrose on the windowsill, his expression grave: "Necromancer, an evil profession that manipulates corpses and souls... Sanchez actually sponsored a necromancer!"

He could reasonably deduce that the necromancer was responsible for causing the fluorescent fungus plants to wither.

In reality, colluding with the shadows is not a serious crime.

Many nobles would secretly employ wicked professionals to do shady things for them.

The fluorescent mushroom family is no exception.

But to collude with evil professionals and murder a baron's son is a capital offense.

"I just don't know if the Baron will be willing to deal with Sanchez after I find the evidence. After all, my father is a very respectable man... A father-in-law murdering his son is definitely a very disgraceful thing in his eyes."

Therefore, in the end, Leo himself must take control of the power.

We'll just kill Sanchez then.

To save face, the Baron would never make things difficult for Leo; on the contrary, he would cover for Leo and handle the matter discreetly.

"A mythical beast knight... I have one too." Leo thought of Vanessa Floating. Although they had never met, Leo believed that with Huayu's matchmaking, this love-struck female mythical beast knight would eventually be at his service.

I fell asleep peacefully.

The next day, the baron continued to inspect the autumn harvest at the manor, so he instructed, "Leo, you continue to learn the secret technique - Glimmering Slash - from your elder brother. Whether it's three days or a week, stay in the castle."

"No, Father, Elder Brother, I plan to go back."

"Go back?" The baron frowned. "Weren't you going to learn the Glimmering Slash? You've only just begun and you're already giving up?"

Neant teased, "Leo, although your talent is average, trust your big brother, I can definitely teach you. If one week isn't enough, I'll spend two weeks. No matter how stupid or clumsy you are, you can learn it with hard work."

Leo smiled.

She said softly, "No, Father, elder brother, it's just that I feel like I've mastered the technique of the Glimmering Slash."

"Huh?" Neant laughed. "Leo, what kind of joke are you telling? This joke isn't funny at all."

"But didn't you laugh, brother?"

"Uh..." Neander was speechless, not embarrassed for himself, but for Leo. "Are you kidding me?"

"Of course not." Leo looked at the Baron. "Father, the Swamp Manor is inextricably linked to me. After my elder brother's instruction yesterday afternoon, I have mastered the Glimmer Slash, so I won't stay any longer."

The Baron frowned deeply: "What are you talking about, Leo? The Secret Technique - Glimmer Slash is no joke!"

He glared at Leo: "This is our family's trump card. As a family member, you must master it as soon as possible!"

Like Neander, he felt that Leo was making a very awkward joke.

Leo didn't bother with any more words and drew his sword directly. It was a luminous longsword, one of the pieces from the previous luminous knight set. He stirred up the holy light fighting spirit within his body, and the longsword immediately emitted a bright light.

Baron and Neander, look over here.

Leo silently activated the technique of using the sycamore tree to quickly compress the holy light and fighting spirit on the sword blade into a sharp edge.

Wave gently towards the outside of the door.

Its sharp edge immediately slashed out, transforming into a beam of light that shot towards the sky before disappearing completely.

Neant stared in disbelief, while the Baron blinked rapidly. This scene was all too familiar; it was the trump card of the Glowing Fungus family for generations—the secret technique, Glimmer Slash. Relying on this move, they were invincible on the battlefield.

"No, Leo, you really learned it?" Neander asked eagerly.

"Big brother, didn't you see it?"

"Impossible! I've only been teaching you for half a day!" Neant couldn't understand or accept it. "I know, didn't you consult Father before? You're just pretending with me, aren't you, Leo!"

The baron said softly, "I haven't taught Leo... Leo has only recently become a knight."

Neander's father's rejection was even more unacceptable, and he even started to speak recklessly: "Why not? Everyone knows Leo's talent. It's just that he was born into the Glowing Mushroom family. Outside, he wouldn't even be able to advance to the rank of knight!"

The baron snapped, "Neander, shut up! Leo is your own brother; you should be happy for him!"

The Baron was very surprised.

But he quickly accepted it; after all, this was his own son!

Moreover, as a respectable man, he hoped for harmony among his brothers, and since Leo possessed such talent, Neant should be proud of Leo.

Neander realized he had broken his promise and hurriedly explained, "No, I meant... Leo, did you really learn the secret technique - Glimmer Slash - in just half a day?"

Leo nodded and smiled confidently, "Father, elder brother, seeing is believing. Didn't you see it for yourselves? Indeed, as elder brother said, my talent for cultivation is mediocre, but I may have some talent in comprehension."

"Haha!" The Baron nodded and laughed with satisfaction. "Indeed, Leo, I am proud of you. You were able to comprehend the Glimmer Slash in half a day. In terms of comprehension, you must surpass most knights."

Seeing this, Neant also stepped forward and hugged Leo: "I'm proud of you too, Leo, my brother."

Even though I felt jealous inside.

Even if I'm still unhappy.

Even in front of the Baron, he still had to try his best to be a brother to him.

"Alright, Father, Elder Brother, I should go back now. I'll come back to visit you again in a while." Leo turned and left.

Watching Leo's departing figure, the Baron sighed with emotion: "Of the three of you siblings, I was originally most worried about Leo. I always felt that Leo was mediocre in every way... except for his appearance, he was good for nothing."

He paused for a moment, then continued with a sigh, "I never imagined that Leo would now be forging ahead so bravely, displaying such genius."

"Yes," Niante agreed insincerely.

He couldn't help but feel uneasy. After their previous heart-to-heart talk, he felt that Leo no longer posed a threat.

All we need to do is keep a close eye on Mrs. Sandra.

It now seems that Mrs. Sandra cannot let her guard down, nor can she relax her vigilance against Leo in the slightest.

He even harbored some resentment: "Father, really! Why did you have so many children? One child like me would have been enough! The struggle for succession among nobles has always been the most treacherous thing. Why doesn't Father learn from this lesson!"

The Baron was clearly unaware of what Neander was thinking.

Watching Leo depart into the distance, and then looking at Neant who was already queuing up to wait for his phantom beast, I felt that my descendants had all inherited the excellent bloodline of the Glowing Mushroom family. The family has successors, how respectable!

"I have lived my whole life with utmost caution. If I can help my family advance further and pass on this vast family business, what more could I ask for!"

The baron stood at the castle gate, hands behind his back, looking up at the sky at a forty-degree angle.

The castle lights were too bright to see the moon and stars, but he knew that the Holy Light always favored the Glowing Mushroom family.
